Két héten belül ez volt a második amerikai megtorló csapás Szíriában. Lloyd Austin figyelmeztetett, hogy az Egyesült Államok „teljes mértékben készen áll arra, hogy más szükséges lépéseket tegyen” csapatai és létesítményei védelme érdekében.
