Az aktivisták egyebek között New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New York, California állam több helyszínén, valamint a nagyvárosok közül Seattle-ben, Chicagóban, és a fővárosban, Washingtonban jelentek meg táblákkal az autószalonok előtt, néhol több százan, másutt néhány tucatnyian.
Az összehangolt tiltakozás szervezői a Tesla Rajtaütés Napjaként (Tesla’s Takdown Day) hirdették meg az akciót, és szándékuk szerint nemzetközivé akarták tenni. A tüntetők Elon Musk kormányzati szerepvállalásának lezárását követelték, és az elektromosautó-márka elleni bojkottra szólítottak fel.
A sajtójelentések szerint a tiltakozások ezúttal többnyire békések voltak.
Az elmúlt hetekben az Egyesült Államok több mint 10 államában zajlottak esetenként erőszakos akciók, jórészt Tesla kereskedéseknél. Egy helyen Tesla töltőállomást gyújtottak fel, és több olyan esetet is rögzítettek a járművek beépített kamerái, amikor a parkoló gépkocsit rongálták meg magánszemélyek. Las Vegas-ban egy Tesla kereskedésnél a tiltakozók lőfegyverből nyitottak tüzet, és gyújtóbombát dobtak egy kereskedésre, több autót teljesen megsemmisítve.
Több helyen sikerült őrizetbe venni gyanúsítottakat, akik ellen Donald Trump elnök és Pam Bondi igazságügyi miniszter, aki egyben szövetségi főügyész is, a legszigorúbb felelősségre vonást helyezte kilátásba. A miniszter előzőleg belföldi terrorcselekménynek minősítette a Tesla elleni erőszakhullámot.

A tüntetők táblákkal protestáltak, az arra járó autósok dudáltak rájuk, ők pedig nem egy helyen táncra is perdültek.
Nagyjából 100 ember tiltakozott és táncolt táblákkal egy washingtoni Tesla-kereskedés előtt szombaton, kinyilvánítva Elon Musk elleni dühüket, ugyanis az elektromosjármű-gyártó milliárdos vezérigazgatója kulcsszerepet játszik a szövetségi munkaerő erőteljes csökkentésében – számolt be a Reuters. A tüntetés mellett elhaladó autók dudáltak a tiltakozókra, akiknek tábláiról Musk nézett vissza rájuk. Donald Trump elnök Muskot nevezte ki a szövetségi kormányzat leépítésére irányuló erőfeszítések vezetésére, amely több ezer dolgozót foglalkoztat a fővárosban.
Trump Muskot bízta meg a kormányzati hatékonysági minisztériumnak (DOGE) nevezett munkacsoport vezetésével, amely eddig több mint 100 ezer munkahely leépítését felügyelte a több mint 2 millió főt számláló szövetségi civil állományban. A DOGE a külföldi segélyek befagyasztását és több ezer program és szerződés törlését is szorgalmazta.
Örömmel jövünk ki, és megmutatjuk a többi embernek, hogy nincsenek egyedül – mondta az egyik tüntető a washingtoni kereskedés előtt. A tech-milliárdos 2022 óta tart folyamatos kapcsolatot az orosz elnökkel, amit az amerikai törvények tiltanak. Most mégis ő vádol árulással egy nyugalmazott tisztet, aki merészelte a Musk-Putyin kapcsolatot nemzetbiztonsági kockázatnak nevezni.
„Ezért fizetni fogsz!” – hangzott el Musk fenyegetése
Az ijesztgetés címzettje egy Elon Musk egy Alexander Vindman nevű nyugalmazott alezredes, akit alantas kiszivárogtatónak (whistleblower) tekint. A tiszt Donald Trump első alkotmányos leváltási eljárásában tanúskodott Musk ellen, és azt vallotta a Kongresszus előtt, hogy a technológiai milliárdos Moszkva befolyása alá vetette magát.
Vindman állítása szerint Musk azért támogatja Donald Trumpot, mert erre kapott utasítást az orosz elnöktől, és ez a kontaktus veszélyezteti az amerikai nemzetbiztonságot, mert magánérdeket csempész a politikai folyamatokba.
Musk kilátásba helyezi a tiszt „megfelelő büntetését” is, bár nem fejti ki, hogy ezt hogyan tudja elérni. Egyben azt is állítja, hogy „Vindman az ukrán oligarchák fizetési listáján szerepel, és hazaárulást követett el az Egyesült Államok ellen”. Ezeket a súlyos állításokat – legalábbis egyelőre – nem támasztotta alá bizonyítékokkal. Vindman egy non-profit Ukrajna-párti szervezettel hozható kapcsolatba, de ez nem büntetendő magatartás.
Itt érdemes megjegyezni, hogy a tiszt ikertestvére, a demokrata Eugene Vindman novemberben bekerült a Kongresszusba, mint Virgina képviselője. A fivér szintén nyugalmazott katonatiszt, és vehemensen határozott Trump-ellenes nézeteiről ismert a demokrata körökben. Az egypetéjű ikerpár Kijevben született zsidó családban, és miután édesanyjuk meghalt, 3 éves korukban hozta át őket apjuk az Egyesült Államokba. Politikai ellenfeleik szerint viszont születési helyük puszta ténye önmagában igazolja Ukrajna-pártiságukat és oroszellenes szenvedélyüket.
A testvérpár szerint sokkal inkább Musk az, akire ráillik az 1799-es Logan-törvény tilalma, amely szerint amerikai magánszemély nem léphet kapcsolatba idegen hatalmakkal, hacsak nem kap erre felhatalmazást az amerikai kormánytól. Musk nem rendelkezik ilyen felkéréssel vagy felhatalmazással, hanem a saját szakállára és merő önérdekből ápol kapcsolatokat az orosz elnökkel, állítják a tech-mágnás ellenfelei.
Putyin szereti használni a ‘Musk-féléket’
A tiszt korábban Ukrajna-szakértőként dolgozott a Nemzetbiztonsági Tanácsban, és mély ismeretei vannak az orosz politikáról is. Meglátása szerint Putyin azért kedveli a Muskhoz hasonló narcisztikusokat és az egomániásokat, mert kipróbált KGB-hírszerzőként jól tudja, hogy az ilyen típusokat könnyen manipulálhatja ügynökként, vagy felhasználhatja őket érdekeinek képviseletében. „Oroszország sokféle eszközt használ, legyen szó korrupciós hálózatokról, vagy olyan befolyásolókról, mint Donald Trump és Elon Musk, hogy belviszályt szítson” – mondta egy kongresszusi podcastban.
A Wall Street Journal összegzése szerint Musk 2022 vége óta személyes ügyekről, üzleti és geopolitikai feszültségekről beszélgetett Putyinnal, és a csevegésekbe olykor más magasrangú orosz tisztviselők is bekapcsolódtak, mint Putyin egyik fő bizalmasa, Szergej Kirijenkó. Kirijenko korábban miniszterelnökként is szolgált, majd ő lett a főmérnöke Oroszország dezinformációs szervezetének, amely a Nyugat-ellenes fellazító politikák főszereplője.
Kirijenko fiát, Vlagyimirt 2021-ben nevezték ki a VKontakte vezérigazgatójává, miután a Gazprom állami gázvállalat rátette a kezét a befolyásos közösségi hálózatra. A kritikusok azzal gyanúsítják a céget, hogy megosztja felhasználóinak adatait az orosz biztonsági szolgálatokkal.
Musk folyamatos kapcsolatban állt Kirijenkóval, és ezt a tényt Dmitrij Peszkov Kreml-szóvivő sem tagadta.
Musk az orosz megbeszélések jellegéről és tartalmáról nem közölt részleteket, és nem látni világosan azt sem, hogy milyen súlyú magánérdekeket vagy politikai ügyeket tárgyalt meg Putyinnal, illetve ezeket hogyan kombinálta. Nem lehet tudni azt sem, hogy a Putyin-Musk kapcsolat valóban segítheti-e az elnök Ukrajna-politikájának sikerét és a háború lezárásával kapcsolatos elképzeléseit.
Musk fenyegető kijelentései azután hangzottak el, hogy Trump újra hangoztattam hogy hogy bosszút áll ellenségein, ha visszatér a Fehér Házba. A megtorlási hajlam sokaknak ijesztő lehet, mert a teljes Kongresszus republikánus megszerzésével sok fék és akadály elhárul Trump útjából. Így kevésbé lesznek erősek a korábbi négy év védőkorlátjai, amikor az elnök még egy személye elleni FBI-vizsgálatot is kénytelen volt eltűrni.
A washingtoni pletykák szerint Musk olyan mélyen beférkőzött a lojalitást követelő Trump bizalmába, sőt a leendő kormányzatba is, hogy esetleg benyújthatja saját igénylistáját személyes ellenfelei és konkurensei kárára.
Ezek között még Jeff Bezost, az Amazon tulajdonosát is megemlítik, akinek Blue Origin űrhajózási vállalata kezd aggasztó kihívást jelenteni Musk SpaceX-e számára.
Musk taktikai pozíciója Trump udvartartásában e pillanatban rendíthetetlen. A választások éjszakáján a friss győztes azt üzente meg híveinek, hogy „új csillag született, és ez a csillag Elon Musk!”, de ez a pályaelőny idővel csökkenhet. Az első nézeteltérések akkor jelentkezhetnek, amikor az orosz és a kínai kapcsolatok teljes súlyukkal napirendre kerülnek.
Ezekben az ügyekben a Trump-adminisztráció és Elon Musk érdekei nem fognak feltétlenül egybeesni, és már abból is baj lehet, ha az új elnök valóban belevág az új vámháborúba Kína és Mexikó ellen. Azért, mert mindkét államban nagyon erősek a Musk-birtokolta Tesla gyártói pozíciói, ami azt jelentené, hogy az onnan importált elektromos autók hazai árai meg fognak lódulni. Ez ellentmondásokat szülhet épp most, amikor a Tesla óriásgyárat épít a mexikói Montereyben, és már 2026-ban elkezdené a behozatalt.
Valószínűtlen, hogy Elon Musk kedvéért Trump lemondjon ambiciózus vámháborús terveiről, ám ha a milliárdos közben ott ül a kabinetben, akkor lehet befolyása a végeredményre, és esetleg szerezhet felmentéseket vagy kivételezést.
Ugyancsak kérdéses, hogy az állami költségek visszafogására fölesküdött Trump hajlandó lesz-e tovább folyósítani a SpaceX rakétavállalat számára azokat az erőforrásokat, melyekhez könnyűszerrel jutott a Biden-kormány alatt.
A katonatiszt nem lesz kellemes ellenfél Elon Musknak
A két férfi már 2022-ben ütközött a közösségi médiában, amikor Vindman a „gyűlölet és megosztottság beszállítójának” nevezte Muskot. A mostani vádakra azt mondja, hogy Musk vádaskodó megjegyzései hamisak és teljesen megalapozatlanok, és hogy felkészült a védelemre. „Úgy hiszed Elon, hogy büntetlenül cselekedhetsz, és megpróbálhatod elhallgattatni a kritikusaidat? Nem vagyok tőled megijedve” – tette hozzá az X-en.
