Az indiai egészségügyi hatóság egy hete figyelmeztetett először az egyre gyorsabban terjedő gombás fertőzésre, mely alapjában is súlyosbítja a koronavírus-fertőzés lefolyását, és rendkívül veszélyes az emberre nézve.
Ahogy arról korábban is írtunk, Indiában egyre több gombás fertőzést jelentenek, először a feketegomba, most pedig a fehérgomba-fertőzés is megkeseríti az indiaiak életét. Jelenleg a világon észlelt feketegomba-fertőzések 70 százaléka származik Indiából, a fertőzés egyre gyorsabb terjedése pedig a koronavírus-járvány rohamos terjedésének tudható be.
A mucormycosis (zygomycosis) néven ismert betegséget a Mucorales gombacsaládba tartozó gombák okozzák, melyek egyébként az ember környezetében élnek, a talajban vagy egyéb bomló szerves anyagon, mint például a bomlásnak indult gyümölcsökön, vagy zöldségeken.
Az alapvetően egészséges emberek a mindennapi higiéniát betartva nincsenek kitéve ennek a veszélynek, de a betegek, így a koronavírus-fertőzöttek is, legyengült immunrendszerük és sérült szöveteik miatt komolyabban ki vannak téve a fertőzés veszélyének.
A mucormycosis könnyedén elkapható a spórák belégzésével, akár táplálkozás útján étellel vagy itallal is bevihetjük szervezetünkbe, illetve a bőrfelület sebein is bejuthat szervezetünkbe. A koronavírus okozta megbetegedés súlyosabb lefolyása esetén pedig tovább gyengíti a páciensek immunrendszerét, károsítja légzőszervrendszer szöveteit, a feketegomba-fertőzés levegővétel útján pedig egyből a sérült szövetet támadja meg a tüdőben.
Az indiai orvosok már egy hete egyre nagyobb aggodalommal követik az újabb fertőzéseket, most pedig járvánnyá is minősítették a feketegomba-fertőzést, mely az orvosok szerint egyáltalán nem túlzás, hiszen a koronavírus-fertőzésben szenvedők esetében akár négyszer-ötször olyan magasabb is lehet a halálozás aránya, mint a világjárvány előtt.
A csaknem 120 milliós lakosságú nyugat-indiai Mahárástra államban már 300 feketegombás esetet jelentettek, Gudzsarát államban hasonló a fertőzés aránya, ahol eddig már négy nagy településen, köztük a legnagyobb városban, Ahmedábádban is azonosították a ritka és veszélyes fertőzést írja az Euronews.

Egyre több koronavírus-fertőzött vagy a vírus okozta Covid-19 kórból éppen felépült ember betegszik meg Indiában egy ritka és halálos kimenetelű gombás fertőzésben – közölték hétfőn indiai orvosok.
A „fekete gombaként” is ismert mukormikózis (mucormycosis) fertőzés előfordulása a Covid-19-en átesett páciensek körében csaknem négyszer-ötször olyan magas, mint a világjárvány előtt. Az indiai egészségügyi minisztérium útmutatást tett közzé arról, hogyan kezeljék ezeket az eseteket.
A csaknem 120 millió lakost számláló nyugat-indiai Mahárástra államban már 300 feketegombás esetet jelentettek, illetve hasonló számokról tudni Gudzsarát államból is, ahol eddig már négy nagy településen, köztük a legnagyobb városban, Ahmedábádban azonosították ezt a ritka fertőzést – írta hétfőn a Daily Mail című brit napilap.
A fertőzés kifejezetten agresszív a legyengült immunrendszerű pácienseknél, és ha nem kezelik időben, akkor halált okozhat. A legnagyobb veszélyben azok a koronavírus-fertőzöttek vannak, akiknek elhanyagolt cukorbetegségük is van, illetve azok, akiket szteroidokkal kezeltek, vagy hosszú időt töltöttek intenzív osztályon.
A feketegomba-fertőzés során elfeketedhet vagy elszíneződhet a beteg orra, látászavar és mellkasi fájdalom alakulhat ki.
David Denning, a Manchesteri Egyetem professzora szerint más országokban is észleltek ilyen eseteket, de Indiában kifejezetten magasabbak az arányok a nagy számú, elégtelenül kezelt cukorbeteg miatt.
India továbbra is a koronavírus-járvány által leginkább sújtott ország a világon az Egyesült Államok után, eddig 22,6 millió fertőzöttet regisztráltak. Az orvosi felszerelések hiányát jelenleg nemzetközi segélyszállítmányokkal próbálják enyhíteni.
