További hat ember megsérült. A kétszintes, fából épült épület teljes legfelső emeletét kiégette az éjszakai tűz. Az első jelentések szerint a tüzet egy meghibásodott fűtőkazán okozhatta − írta meg a BBC.
Az idősek magánotthona illegálisan működött − idézte a tisztviselőket a TASZSZ hírügynökség. Több tucatnyi tűzoltó vonult ki a helyszínre, a tüzet szombaton kora reggel eloltották.
A régió kormányzója közölte, hogy minden hasonló létesítményt ellenőrizni fognak. Az ügyben a hatóságok bűnügyi vizsgálatot indítottak.
A helyi tűzoltóság illetékesei elmondták, hogy Oroszország-szerte számos be nem jegyzett idősek otthona működik. Mint ilyenek, magántulajdonnak minősülnek, és nem tartoznak a tűzvédelmi ellenőrzések hatálya alá.
2018-ban 60 ember − köztük 37 gyermek − halt meg egy kemerovói szabadidőközpontban keletkezett tűzben.
