Lázadás szítása és terrorizmus vádjával letartóztatták szombaton Jeanine Ánez volt bolíviai elnököt – adta hírül az AP amerikai hírügynökség.



A letartóztatáshoz az a nyomozás vezetett, amely Evo Morales korábbi államfő elleni, feltételezett puccs miatt indult. Ánezt otthonában, Trinidad városában tartóztatták le és a fővárosba, La Pazba vitték.







Ánez törvénytelennek mondja letartóztatását. Szavai szerint nem államcsíny történt, hanem alkotmányos siker, amikor 2019-ben hatalomra jutott, Evo Morales pedig külföldre távozott.



A nyomozás egyébként a Morales alapította Mozgalom a Szocializmusért (MAS) párt egyik képviselőjének decemberben benyújtott panasza nyomán kezdődött.



Bolíviában az utóbb két évben igencsak felgyorsult a politikai váltógazdálkodás. Morales 13 éven át vezette Bolíviát és a 2019-es választáson még mint elnök indult. A hivatalos eredmény szerint megnyerte, az ellenzék azonban csalást kiáltott, tüntetések kezdődtek, zavargások törtek ki, majd a hadsereg kihátrált Morales mögül, ő pedig lemondott, és előbb Mexikóba, majd Argentínába távozott, a jobboldali Anéz pedig hatalomra került.



Ezután Morales hívei kezdtek tüntetni, és a belpolitikai zavarok miatt tavaly ismét választást tartottak Bolíviában, amelyet a Mozgalom a Szocializmusért nyert meg a szavazatok 55 százalékával, és novembertől ismét ez a párt adja az elnököt Luis Arce személyében.
