 Az EP április végén feloldotta a képviselő mentelmi jogát, majd a belga rendőrség egy nemzetközi elfogatóparancs alapján őrizetbe vette Brüsszelben a politikust.
 
 Tavaly októberben 13 éves börtönbüntetést szabott ki egy athéni bíróság az Arany Hajnal vezetőjére, Nikólaosz Mihaloliákoszra, illetve több tagjára, köztük Lagószra is, aki a görögországi elfogatóparancs kiadásakor Brüsszelbe utazott.
 A görög bíróság több mint öt évig húzódó tárgyalássorozatot követően bűnszövetkezetnek minősítette a pártot. A perben tárgyalták Pavlosz Füsszasz baloldali görög rapper meggyilkolását, illetve a migráns halászok és baloldali aktivisták ellen elkövetett támadásokat.
 Az idegengyűlölő szólamokat hangoztató radikális pártot a kilencvenes évek elején alapították, és sokáig csak egy kis szélsőséges csoportosulás volt. 2012-re viszont annyira megnőtt a támogatottsága, hogy 21 képviselői helyet szerzett a 300 fős görög parlamentben, és ezzel a törvényhozás harmadik legnagyobb erejévé vált.
 Az Arany Hajnal népszerűsége a Füsszasz-gyilkosság után erősen csökkent, a 2019-es választásokon pedig már be sem jutott a parlamentbe.
