A határőrséget ismeretlen személyek megjelenéséről egy helyi lakos tájékoztatta. A határőrök felderítési akciót indítottak, amelynek során négy, 17, 21, 22 és 33 éves férfit vettek őrizetbe. A fogvatartottak nem rendelkeztek semmilyen dokumentummal. Hárman közülük Afganisztán, a negyedik férfi Banglades állampolgárának nevezte meg magát. Az információ ellenőrzése folyamatban van. Valamennyien illegálisan szándékozták átlépni az ukrán–magyar határt, ketten Nagy-Britanniába, a másik kettő Franciaországba és Olaszországba szándékozott utazni.
A férfiakat a határőrség kirendeltségére szállították, a közigazgatási szabálysértés kapcsán jegyzőkönyvet állítottak össze. Emellett folyamatban van az illegális csempészet megszervezésében részt vevő személyek azonosítása, számolt be az Állami Határőrszolgálat Ukrajna-Nyugati Határ nyugati regionális osztálya.

Járőrözés közben a határőrök egy csoportra figyeltek fel, akik a határvonal felé igyekeztek, csomagokat cipelve. Figyelmeztető lövésekkel próbálták őket megállítani, egyiküket sikerült letartóztatni, a másik kettő azonban hátrahagyta a csomagokat és elmenekült a helyszínről.
A ládákban 4000 doboz cigaretta volt. Az előállított személy egy 20 éves munkácsi fiatalember. A hatóságok adminisztratív protokollt állítottak ki rá, az ügyben eljárást indítottak.
