Natalja Humenyuk, a Pivdeny operatív parancsnokság vezetője a 24 kanal tévécsatornának adott interjújában elmondta, hogy Dél-Ukrajnában olyan hadművelet zajlik, amihez teljes csendre van szükség.
Arra kért mindenkit, hogy ne kommentálják az eseményeket és ne nevezzék meg a helyszíneket, ahol a manőverek zajlanak.
„Jó híreket csak a katonaságtól kell kapjunk. Amikor mások beleavatkoznak ezekbe a dolgokba, abból soha semmi jó nem sül ki” – mondta el.

A támadás célja a „demilitarizálás és denacifikáció”, valamint „azok bíróság elé állítása, akik számos véres bűncselekményt követtek el civilek, köztük az Orosz Föderáció állampolgárai ellen”.
Mindenkit arra kért, hogy „fogadja el” a döntését, „bármilyen nehéz is legyen”.
