Legalább 126 ember meghalt egy földrengésben a kínai Tibetben. Több mint 14 000 mentő kutat az áldozatok után. Mintegy 400 embert már sikerült kimenteni – írta a BBC a kínai állami sajtóra hivatkozva. A földrengés kedden történt, és több ezer házat rongált meg. A földrengések gyakoriak ebben a régióban, de ez volt az egyik leghalálosabb az elmúlt években.
Az állami People’s Daily kiadvány adatai szerint több mint 30 ezer lakost evakuáltak. A hatóságok becslése szerint több mint 3600 épület pusztult el, és több ezer ember maradhat hajléktalanná.
A külföldi riporterek Tibetbe való bejutása korlátozott – a terület látogatásához a kormány engedélye szükséges. Az internet-hozzáférés is korlátozott. A földrengésről rendelkezésre álló adatok túlnyomó többsége állami felügyelet alatt lévő médiából származik.
„Az itteni házak sárból vannak, ezért amikor a földrengés elkezdődött… sok ház összedőlt” – mondta Sanji Danji helyi lakos az AFP-nek telefonon. A földrengés megrongálta a szupermarketjét is.
A férfi hozzátette: a mentők egész nap szállították a sebesülteket kórházba.
Az Egyesült Államokban a földrengés erősségét 7,1-re becsülték, és körülbelül 10 kilométeres mélységben kezdődött. A rengések Nepálban és a Tibettel szomszédos India egyes részein is érezhetőek voltak.

Összeomlott egy hatemeletes lakóépület a közép-kínai Csangsa városában péntek délután – számolt be az MTI több kínai sajtóforrás nyomán.
Az egyelőre ismeretlen okból összedőlt épületben tartózkodók mentésére több mint száz főből álló csapatot küldtek. A helyi tűzoltóság arról számolt be, hogy már néhány embert sikerült kimenteni, de nem adtak tájékoztatást sem az eddig kimentettek, sem a szerencsétlenség idején az épületben tartózkodók számáról.
Sajtóbeszámolók, továbbá a kínai közösségi platformokon megosztott felvételek szerint az épület összeomlása hatalmas porfelhőt kavart a környéken.
A Csangsai Orvosi Egyetem közelében található épület alsóbb szintjein étterem és mozi is működött.
Kínában gyakoriak a különböző, az épületbiztonsági előírások be nem tartásával összefüggő balesetek. Tavaly júliusban egy szálloda omlott össze a kelet-kínai Szucsouban. A balesetben 17 ember veszítette életét.

A legkisebb esélyt sem akarják megadni annak, hogy országban ismét elszaporodjon a vírus. Emiatt az elmúlt két évben már nem egyszer zártak le olyan városokat, ahol több millió ember él. Most is hasonlóan tettek, ezúttal egy 3,5 milliós városról van szó, ami a vietnami határ közelében található.
A déli Guangxi régióban lévő Baise városának területéről van szó, ahol vasárnap jelentették be, hogy senki sem hagyhatja el a körzetet, egyes városrészek lakóinak pedig otthon kell maradniuk. A hivatalos bejelentés szerint az egész városra kiterjedő forgalomellenőrzést vezetnek be, amit nagyon szigorúan vesznek.
Ez azt is jelenti, hogy egy jármű és egy ember sem léphet be a városba, illetve nem hagyhatják el azt. Kiemelték, a szükségtelen mozgások nem megengedettek ebben a helyzetben, így az emberek a következő időszakban javarészt az otthonaikban fognak tartózkodni.
Az első helyi esetet még pénteken regisztrálták, aki az egyhetes holdújévi ünnepekre tért haza. Nem sokkal később elrendelték a lakosság tömeges tesztelését, amiben szintén nagy tapasztalata van Kínának.
Decemberben például egy 13 millió lakosú kínai várost helyeztek zár alá több mint egy hónapra, miközben több mint 2000 beteget regisztráltak. Az NDTV arról számolt be, hogy a lakosok az élelmiszerhiányra panaszkodtak, és a túlságosan is szigorú korlátozások megakadályozták a betegek kritikus orvosi kezeléseit, ami egyes esetekben halálhoz vezetett.
Kína hétfőn országszerte 79 új fertőzést regisztrált, ebből 37-et Guangxiban.

Aggasztó hírek érkeztek a H5N6 típusú madárinfluenza emberi terjedéséről, ugyanis két ember elhunyt és három ember súlyosan megbetegedett a fertőzést követően.
A BNO Newsbeszámolója szerint Szecsuán, Csöcsiang és Kuanghszi tartományokban regisztráltak madárinfluenzás betegeket az elmúlt hetekben, azonban ezt nem hozták nyilvánosságra egyből a tisztviselők.
A beszámolók szerint egy 75, egy 54, egy 53 és egy 28 éves férfi, valamint egy 51 éves nő volt az öt eset, ebből az idősebb férfiak életüket vesztették. Valamennyi esetben bizonyítható volt, hogy érintkeztek szárnyasokkal, amely a fertőzést okozhatta.
Ami aggasztó a helyzetben, hogy ugyan a 2014-es felfedezése mindössze 65 embernél mutatták ki a H5N6 madárinfluenza-vírust, azonban az esetek több mint fele az elmúlt hat hónap során történt, ráadásul a vírus halálozási rátája is 50 százalék körül lehet.
A WHO egyelőre nem tud sokat a kórokozóról, mivel a kínai hatóságok meglehetősen korlátozottan szolgáltatnak információt. Arról egyelőre nem tudni, hogy emberek közötti terjedés is történt volna a vírust illetően.
