A szélsőséges Szvoboda párt védelmi zsarolással foglalkozó három önkormányzati képviselőjét vették őrizetbe az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) munkatársai Kirovohrad megyében, egész fegyverarzenált találtak náluk – adta hírül az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál szerdán az SZBU sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a bűnöző szvobodás képviselőknél a hatóság emberei engedély nélkül tartott éles lőfegyverek egész arzenálját találták, közte pisztolyokat hozzájuk való lőszerekkel, és hangtompítókkal. Az SZBU nyomozói vizsgálják, hogy a szélsőséges párt bűnszervezetbe tömörült önkormányzati képviselői nem akarták-e a fegyvereket a helyzet destabilizálására használni a régióban az ukrán függetlenség 30. évfordulója előtt.
A lekapcsolt bűnbanda vezetője a Szvoboda párt Kirovohrad megyei szervezetének elnöke volt. A nyomozás megállapította, hogy a politikus bűnözők védelmi pénzeket szedtek helyi vállalkozóktól, az egyik farmertől például 60 ezer dollárt követeltek, azt ígérve, hogy lezáratják az ellene indított nyomozást. Két bandatag képviselőt akkor vettek őrizetbe, amikor átvették az összeg egy részét.

A Nemzeti Korrupcióellenes Iroda (NABU) és az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) munkatársai őrizetbe vették Andrij Balonyt, Kirovohrad megye kormányzóját, aki egyik beosztottjától 1,8 millió hrivnya kenőpénzt követelt, az összeg 250 ezer hrivnyás részletének átvételekor csaptak le rá – adta hírül pénteken a liga.net hírportál.
A kiadvány Juruj Butuszov oknyomozó újságíróra hivatkozva közölte, hogy a kormány az Elnöki Hivatal indítványára Balonyt őrizetbe vételének a napján, június 25-én leváltotta tisztségéből. A riporter azt is jelezte, hogy a kormányülés napirendjén nem szerepelt a kormányzó elmozdításának kérdése, arról a kormánytagok vita nélkül döntöttek.
A korrupciós ügy kapcsán Butuszov a Facebook-oldalán azt írta: Andrij Balony egyik bizalmas munkatársa által zsarolta meg az Állami Fogyasztóvédelmi Szolgálat Kirovohrad megyei főosztályának vezetőjét azzal, hogy az csak akkor maradhat meg tisztségében, ha fizet neki 1,8 millió hrivnyát. A kenőpénz 100 ezer hrivnyás első részletét a kormányzó a napokban megkapta, a hatósági munkatársak a 250 ezer hrivnyás második részlet átvételekor kapták el. A nála tartott házkutatás során a nyomozók megtalálták a korábban megvesztegetésként átvett megjelölt bankjegyeket és nagy összegű, tisztázatlan eredetű készpénzre is rábukkantak, amellyel kapcsolatban nem zárható ki, hogy megyei tisztségek árusításából és vesztegetésből származik.
