Az Ungvári Járási Rendőrkapitányság nyomozói vizsgálják az Ungvári Központi Klinikai Kórházban történt tűzeset körülményeit, amelynek következtében egy 74 éves beteg életét vesztette.
A tűzről szeptember 16-án éjjel érkezett bejelentés a rendőrséghez a tűzoltóságtól. A lángokat a tűzoltók eloltották az intézmény ötödik emeletén, ahol a rendőrök egy eszméletlen férfit találtak az egyik kórteremben. A beteget azonnal az intenzív osztályra szállították, ám később elhunyt. A halál előzetes oka: szén-monoxid-mérgezés.
A helyszíni szemle és a tanúk meghallgatása során kiderült, hogy az elhunyt férfi többször megszegte a kórházi tűzvédelmi szabályokat.
A pontos okok tisztázása érdekében több szakértői vizsgálatot rendelnek el – közölte a egyei rendőrség kommunikációs osztálya.
Legkevesebb tíz újszülött halt meg az észak-indiai Dzshánszí kórházában keletkezett tűzben – közölte Uttar Prades állam kormányszóvivője. A Times Now hírportál jelentése szerint 16 csecsemő van még életveszélyben. A tüzet már eloltották ‒ írja külföldi források és az MTI alapján a Magyar Hírlap.
„Tíz csecsemő sajnos meghalt” – közölte szombaton Uttar Prades állam kormányának szóvivője a péntek esti tűzvészről. „Hét holttestet már azonosítottak. Három holttestet egyelőre nem sikerült azonosítani” – mondta.
A tűz a kórház újszülöttosztályán ütött ki helyi idő szerint pénteken este fél 11 körül. Az NDTV hírcsatorna szerint összesen 54 újszülött volt az osztályon a tűz kitörésekor. Az első megállapítások szerint rövidzárlat okozta a tüzet.
Mivel tűzriadó nem volt, a jelentések szerint a gyerekek evakuálása nem történt meg időben. A lángokat azóta eloltották.

Az országban az utóbbi évben négy másik tragédia is történt a Covid-kórházakban. Tavaly novemberben a kelet-romániai Karácsonkő (Piatra Neamt) koronavírusos betegeket ápoló kórházának intenzív osztálya gyulladt ki: akkor tízen életüket vesztették. Idén januárban a bukaresti Matei Bals járványkórház koronavírus osztályának egyik kórtermében keletkezett tűz, amelyben négy beteg vesztette életét. Áprilisban oxigénellátás nélkül maradt a bukaresti Victor Babes járványkórház udvarán egy konténerben kialakított intenzív terápiás Covid-részleg, és emiatt három súlyos állapotban lévő koronavírusos páciens meghalt. Októberben a konstancai járványkórház intenzív osztályán keletkezett tűz, hét beteg halálát okozva.
Halálos áldozatokat is követelő tűz pusztított pénteken Romániában a koronavírusos betegeket ápoló konstancai járványkórházban.
A katasztrófavédelem a tűz megfékezése után közölte: kilenc páciens életét vesztette, a kórházat kiürítették.
Az első jelentések szerint a kórház intenzív osztálya gyulladt ki, ahol lélegeztetőgépek működnek. A tragédiáról készült amatőr videofelvételeken az látszik, hogy a kétemeletes épület jelentős részét sűrű füst lepte el, a földszinti kórtermekből a betegek az ablakokon kimászva menekültek.
A katasztrófavédelem a szomszédos megyékből is Konstancára küldött tűzoltóegységeket, hogy az oltásban és a betegek kimenekítésében segédkezzenek. A konstancai járványkórház udvarán a tűzoltók mobilkórházat állítottak fel, amelyben elvégzik az evakuált betegek szűrését, és állapotuk függvényében más kórházakba irányítják át őket.
Az egészségügyi minisztérium szerint a konstancai járványkórházban 113 beteget kezeltek, közülük tízet az intenzív terápiával.
Romániában a koronavírus-járvány negyedik hulláma minden korábbit meghaladó ütemben terjed, az újonnan fertőzöttek száma a héten már több ízben rekordot döntött, a kórházak túlterheltek, a Covid-kórházak intenzív terápiás részlegei országszerte megteltek, a szaktárca újabb kórházi részlegek felszabadításával és a szakszemélyzet áthelyezésével próbálja a helyek számát a növekvő igényekhez igazítani.

Tűz ütött ki a New York Queens negyedében található egyik klinikán, a mentők két embert súlyos égési sérülésekkel kórházba szállítottak.
A Queensben lévő Rockaway városrészben helyi idő szerint péntek délután 5 órakor csaptak fel a lángok az egyik kórház épületében – adta hírül az NBC New York televíziócsatorna.
A vészjelzésre azonnal több száz tűzoltót riasztottak, akik kiérkezvén még időben el tudták oltani a lángokat, és ki tudták menekíteni a bent rekedt pácienseket és a személyzet összes tagját.

Kigyulladt egy koronavírus-fertőzötteket ellátó kórház a dél-iraki Nasszírija városban, legalább ötven ember meghalt, többen pedig válságos állapotban vannak.
Az INA iraki állami hírügynökség arról számolt be, hogy a lángoló épületből tizenhat beteget épségben ki tudtak menekíteni, valamint számos megégett holttestet kihoztak. A halálos áldozatok között két egészségügyi dolgozó is van.
A tüzet hétfő estére még nem sikerült teljesen eloltani.
A hatvanágyas létesítményben az egészségügyi hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint még zajlanak a kutatási-mentési munkálatok.
Nem kizárt, hogy az áldozatok száma tovább fog emelkedni, több beteget ugyanis egyelőre nem találtak meg.
