A videón jól látható, ahogy a vásárlók lökdösődnek, kiabálnak, és próbálják egymást megelőzve megszerezni az akciós termékeket.
A káosz egy pontján az egyik férfi hangosan azt kiáltotta: „Utoljára mondom, ne nyúlj hozzá!”, míg egy másik hang a háttérből közbeszól: „Úgy viselkedtek, mint a disznók!”. A jelenetek sokak szerint inkább egy posztapokaliptikus filmre emlékeztetnek, mintsem egy átlagos hétköznapi bevásárlásra. A vásárlók viselkedése széles körben kiváltotta a közösségi média felhasználóinak rosszallását, sokan a kereskedelmi láncot is hibáztatják, amiért nem kezelik megfelelően az ilyen típusú helyzeteket.
Nem először fordul elő, hogy akciós termékek miatt elszabadulnak az indulatok a prágai Lidl üzletekben, ugyanis márciusban az üzletlánc egy másik boltjában akciós napernyők miatt tört ki dulakodás, torlódás és káosz, miután egyszerre próbáltak hozzájutni a leértékelt árucikkekhez.

This evening Ceres Engine 15, Ceres Battalion Chief 3, and Modesto Truck 1 were dispatched to a vehicle accident with pin-in at the Shell station on 4th Street. Initial reports were that a car and gas pump were on fire and people were trapped in the car. Battalion Chief 3 upgraded the incident to a potential structure fire, bringing Ceres Engine 18 to the scene.Crews arrived and found a car that had come off of Highway 99, struck a gas pump, and caught fire.
