Egy eddig ismeretlen veszélyes anyag miatt került kórházba hét ember a langenzenni DHL-elosztóközpontból, a hatóságok nagy erőkkel vonultak ki a helyszínre.
Péntek reggel, június 6-án veszélyes anyag miatt riasztották a hatóságokat a DHL elosztóközpontjához, Langenzenn Burggrafenhof városrészébe. Az egyik szállítószalagon egy eddig ismeretlen eredetű fehér por jelent meg, amellyel több dolgozó is kapcsolatba került. Az érintettek viszketésről számoltak be, ezután azonnal megkezdődött a mentés és az épület kiürítése.
A riasztás után mintegy 70 fős egység – köztük mentők, tűzoltók, egy ABC-mentőcsapat, valamint két speciális veszélyes anyag egység Erlangenből és Gredingből vonult a helyszínre. Az ABC-zászlóalj egy mobil dekontaminációs egységet is felállított, ahol 35 érintett dolgozót „száraz tisztításnak” vetettek alá. Ez azt jelentette, hogy le kellett vetniük ruhájukat, és steril, egyszer használatos öltözetet kaptak.
Az első orvosi vizsgálatok alapján 12 ember sérült meg enyhébben, közülük hetet kórházba szállítottak. Minden olyan személyt, aki érintkezett az anyaggal, biztonsági okokból orvos vizsgált meg.
A veszélyes anyag pontos összetétele egyelőre ismeretlen.
A rendőrség szerint a lakosság nem volt veszélyben, és a DHL-elosztóközpont, valamint a környékbeli üzemek megközelítése már újra lehetséges – írja az NN.de oldal.

Lúgos hatású tisztító- vagy zsírtalanítószer volt abban az ízesített ásványvízben, amelynek elfogyasztása után egy férfi Horvátországban kórházba került súlyos szájüreg- és gégesérülésekkel – derült ki az igazságügyi vizsgálatokat végző laboratórium jelentésből csütörtökön.
További 20 eredeti csomagolásban átvett, ugyanazt az italt tartalmazó üvegpalackban a szokásos pH-értékű folyadékot találták – közölte a fiumei rendőrkapitányság, amely a nyomozást vezette.
Horvátországban az elmúlt néhány napban 45 személy jelentkezett valamelyik kórház sürgősségi osztályán szájüregi sérülésekkel, azt állítva, hogy a Coca-Cola horvátországi forgalmazójának egyik szénsavas üdítőjét fogyasztották el előtte.
A Coca-Cola Horvátország szerdán két termékét is visszavonta a kereskedelmi forgalomból. Sajtóközleményükben azt írták: szóbeli hatósági határozat miatt döntöttek így, bár megjegyezték, hogy belső vizsgálatuk sem a gyártásban, sem a termékekben nem mutatott ki szabálytalanságot.
„Továbbra is együttműködünk az illetékes hatóságokkal, és konkrét lépéseket teszünk fogyasztóink védelme érdekében” – tették hozzá.
Az eset miatt az országban több üzletlánc is úgy döntött, hogy elővigyázatosságból a Coca-Cola minden alkoholmentes italát leszedi a polcokról, és hasonlóan járt el a legtöbb vendéglátóipari cég is.
Vili Beros egészségügyi miniszter csütörtökön a sajtónak úgy nyilatkozott: „Úgy tűnik, hogy csak egy bizonyított esetről beszélhetünk, és lehet, hogy nincs is köze a Coca-Cola üdítőihez.”
A Fiumében történt mérgezés lehet szándékos károkozás vagy véletlen hiba, az összes többi beteg azonban a pánik vagy más okok miatt jelentkezett a sürgősségi osztályokon – mondta a tárcavezető, hozzátéve, hogy mindössze négyüknél állapítottak meg nyálkahártyán bekövetkezett változásokat, amelyek nem kell, hogy közvetlenül összefüggésben legyenek egy lúgos anyag koncentrációjával.
Kedd óta több mintát bevizsgáltak Zágrábban is az állítólagos sérüléseket okozó termékek közül, de a horvát közegészségügyi intézet közlése szerint mindegyikük megfelelt az előírásoknak.

„Továbbra is együttműködünk az illetékes hatóságokkal, és konkrét lépéseket teszünk fogyasztóink védelme érdekében” – olvasható a Coca-Cola Horvátország sajtóközleményében.
Horvátországban több különböző városban, Splitben, Fiumében, Varasdon és Zágrábban kerültek kórházba kedden és szerdán olyan személyek, akik Coca-Colát vagy a cég által forgalmazott Römerquelle Emotion Blueberry, illetve Pomegranate ásványvizet fogyasztottak, és az megmarta a nyelőcsövüket.
A hatóságok jelentése szerint mindannyian könnyebb sérüléseket szenvedtek, és már nincsenek kórházban.
Az ügyben a rendőrség és az ügyészség is nyomoz.
Krunoslav Capak, a Horvát Közegészségügyi Intézet (HZJZ) igazgatója szerint valószínűleg valamilyen maró hatású anyagról van szó. „A legfontosabb, hogy megvizsgáljuk, nincs-e idegen elem az italokban, mert maga az üdítő, annak összetevői nem okozhattak ilyen sérüléseket” – hangsúlyozta az igazgató a minták bevizsgálásával kapcsolatban.

Az Amerikai Egyesült Államok beli Betegségellenőrzési és Megelőzési Központ (CDC) előzetes becslései szerint évente több mint fél millió ember betegedhet meg az USA-ban a coccidioides gomba okozta völgylázban – számolt be az Index.
A hatóságok és a tudományos társaságok által nyilvánosságra hozott előzetes adatok szerint a gombás megbetegedés halálos áldozatainak száma a háromszorosa lehet a korábbi becsléseknek.
Egyszerűen nincs elég ismeretünk a betegségről. Sok utazással összefüggő esetet látunk, de olyan helyeken is történtek megbetegedések, ahol nem jellemző a völgyláz – mondta a CBS News-nak Samantha Williams, a CDC járványügyi szakértője, aki annak a csapatnak a tagja, aki a völgylázzal összefüggő előrejelzéseket pontosította. A projekt célja, hogy az ügynökség fokozza a betegségre adott válaszlépéseket az érintett területeken, elsősorban délnyugaton, Kaliforniától Texas középső részéig.
A CDC-nek csak az esetek töredékét jelentik, de ezek az adatok is folyamatosan emelkednek. 2021-ben 20 197 esetet regisztráltak, ami a 2011-es rekord óta a legtöbb egyetlen év alatt jegyzett megbetegedés.
„Ha összehasonlítjuk a mostani és a 2021-es számokat a 2014-es adatokkal, akkor drasztikus emelkedésről beszélhetünk. Arizonában gyakorlatilag megduplázódott, Kaliforniában pedig több mint megháromszorozódott a regisztrált esetek száma” – mondta Williams.
A betegség tünetei
A völgyláz tünetmentes esetei gyakran enyhén kezdődnek, az influenzához vagy a koronavírushoz hasonló tünetekkel, például lázzal, köhögéssel és kiütéssel. Az emberek fejfájást, fáradtságot, éjszakai izzadást és izom- vagy ízületi fájdalmat is tapasztalhatnak.
A tünetek jellemzően pár héttel a gomba spóráinak belélegzése után alakulnak ki – a gomba a nyugati államok talajában fordul elő, főleg délnyugaton.
Sokan maguktól meggyógyulnak, de az esetek tíz százalékában veszélyes szövődmények alakulhatnak ki. Enyhe megbetegedés esetén is hetekig elhúzódik a rosszullét.
Az utóbbi években egyre könnyebben diagnosztizálják a völgylázat, de van, hogy hetekbe telik az orvosoknak, mire rájönnek, mi okozza a problémát. „A korai felismerés és a korai kezelés nagyon fontos” – tette hozzá Williams.
A betegséget nagyon nehéz elkerülni, mert a spórák a levegőben terjednek. Kaliforniában arra kérik a lakosságot, hogy mérsékeljék az ásás által felkavart port, és minimalizálják a szabadban töltött időt a szeles napokon.
A betegség kezelése még nehézkes, a protokoll más gombák ellen jóváhagyott gyógyszerekre támaszkodik. Nincs vakcina, hiányoznak a hatékony terápiák. Jelenleg tesztelik a potenciális oltásokat, és különböző támogatásokat ítéltek meg a kutatóknak, hogy ösztönözzék a völgyláz elleni terápiák kidolgozását.

A szalmonellával szennyezett termékek a Ferrero belgiumi gyárából kerültek ki. A helyi hatóságok jelentése szerint a 2021. december eleje és 2022. január vége között, az érintett üzemben végzett ellenőrzések során a kész- és félkész termékekből, köztes termékekből, nyersanyagokból, környezeti kenetmintákból és öblítőolaj-mintákból vett 81 minta volt pozitív szalmonellára. A termelést többször leállították és újraindították.
A Nébih április elején arra figyelmeztetett, hogy Magyarországra is kerültek szalmonellával szennyezett édességek.

Az Egészségügyi Világszervezet (WHO) afrikai irodája csütörtökön jelentette be, hogy Afrikában – miután sok régióban elakadt az oltási kampány – idén márciusig a tavalyi év azonos időszakához képest négyszáz százalékkal nőtt a kanyarós megbetegedések száma.
Matshidiso Moeti, a szervezet Afrikáért felelős igazgatója sajtóközleményében hangsúlyozta: bár a kontinensen még tart a koronavírus-járvány elleni harc, nem szabad megfeledkezni más, az egészséget fenyegető veszélyekről sem − közölte az MTI.
A tájékoztatás szerint január elejétől március végéig csaknem 17 500 kanyarós megbetegedést regisztráltak Afrikában, mind ez idáig húsz ország jelentett kanyarójárványt, nyolccal több, mint a tavalyi év ugyanezen időszakában.
A WHO a héten jelentette be, hogy a kanyarós esetek száma világszerte megugrott: 2022 első két hónapjában 79 százalékkal több megbetegedést regisztráltak a tavalyi év azonos időszakához képest. A Genfben ismertetett jelentésben a szervezet szakértői a növekedést a koronavírus-járvány miatt elakadt oltási kampánnyal, valamint az kanyaró elleni védekezésre elkülönített források átcsoportosításával indokolták.
Tavaly összesen 24 afrikai ország jelentett kanyarójárványt, míg az azt megelőző évben húsz. Míg 2019-ben három, 2020-ban kilenc, 2021-ben tizenhárom sárgalázjárványt jelentettek.

Az Egyesült Államok Betegségellenőrzési és megelőzési Központja óva int a melioidosis betegséget kiváltó spray használatától. A Központnál elmondták, az orvosoknak tisztában kell lenniük ennek a fertőző betegségnek a tüneteivel, amelyet nehéz diagnosztizálni. Az intézmény októberben közölte, Georgia államban tanulmányozta a halálos fertőzés esetét. A fertőzés terjedését a népszerű Walmart áruházláncban vásárolt légfrissítő spray okozta. „Öt másik, ugyanolyan márkájú „drágakőn érlelt” légfrissítőt tesztelünk” – közölte a Betegségellenőrzési és Megelőzési Központ, egyben hozzátette: a sprayt 2021 február–októbere között országszerte árulták a Walmart üzletekben.
Az Egyesült Államok Betegségellenőrzési és Megelőzési Központja közleményt adott ki a betegség tüneteinek leírásával az egészségügyi dolgozók számára: „láz, fejfájás, gennyes duzzanatok a májban, tüdőben, lépben és prosztatában. A betegeket meg kell kérdezni, használtak-e légfrissítőt, beleértve, hogy a szobában tartózkodott-e a termék permetezése közben, és belélegezte-e, érintkezett-e olyan termékekkel, amelyeket érintett a permet.”
Az embereknek azt tanácsolják, hagyják abba a spray használatát. De ne dobják ki, hanem gondosan csomagolják be és vigyék vissza a boltba.
