A londoni West Enden, a Sondheim színházban a Just Stop Oil nevű szervezet klímaaktivistái megrohamozták a „Les Misérables” (A nyomorultak) musical előadását. A csoport tagjai felmásztak a színpadra, és azt követelték, hogy azonnal állítsák le az olaj- és gázkitermelésre vonatkozó új engedélyek kiadását.
Az esetről készült felvételeken látható, hogy a tüntetőket a nézők hangosan kifütyülik, miközben a biztonságiak kikísérik a színészeket a színpadról, és elhúzzák a függönyt. Az előadása félbeszakadása után biztonsági okokból ki is kellett üríteni a színházat.
A Just Stop Oil az X/Twitteren és az Instagramon közzétett bejegyzéseiben azt írta, hogy négy tüntető kerékpárzárak segítségével odaláncolta magát a színpadhoz, ezért kellett az előadást leállítani és a színházat kiüríteni. A londoni rendőrség szerint öt embert letartóztattak.
