Ezrek tüntettek csütörtök este Prágában és több cseh nagyvárosban Milos Zeman államfő, illetve más cseh politikusok oroszbarát politikája ellen.
A Millió pillanat a demokráciáért nevű civil szervezet felhívására Prágában a Vencel téren mintegy 20 ezer ember gyűlt össze, akik szerint Csehország a Nyugathoz, nem Oroszországhoz tartozik, és amiat tiltakoztak, hogy Milos Zeman államfő a vrbeticei lőszerraktárakban 2014-ben történt robbanások ügyében Moszkva oldalára állt.
Míg Andrej Babis miniszterelnök szerint a robbanásokban szerepet játszottak az orosz titkoszolgálatok, addig Milos Zeman vasárnapi televíziós interjújában azt állította, hogy az eseményeknek két változata létezik, az orosz ügynökök részvétele a robbanásokban nem bizonyított, ezért a rendőrség feladata megállapítani, mi is történt valójában. A cseh sajtó szerint Zeman ezzel az orosz álláspontot képviselte, és muníciót adott az orosz propagandának. Babis a héten megismételte, hogy az eseményeknek szerinte csak egy változata van. Az ellenzéki szenátorok egy csoportja ezért bejelentette: bepereli az elnököt az alkotmánybíróságon, mert szerintük Zeman tevékenysége kimeríti a hazaárulás fogalmát.
Milos Zeman államfő immár Csehország biztonságát veszélyezteti, tevékenységének egyszavas megnevezése hazaárulás – jelentette ki Prágában Benjamin Roll, a Millió pillanat a demokráciáért szervezet elnöke. Felszólította a szenátorokat, hogy kezdeményezzék Zeman visszahívását az elnöki tisztségéből.
Hasonló tüntetések – néhány száz fős részvétellel – voltak Brünnben, Ostraván, Pilzenben és más nagyvárosokban is.
