A 37 éves Amanda Gallagher szombaton a Kansas állambeli Derbyben ejtőernyősökről készített fényképeket, amikor hátralépett, és így véletlen belesétált a mögötte lévő repülőgép forgó propellerébe – írja a The Guardian.
A hatóságok közölték, hogy az elsősegélynyújtók egy helyi kórházba szállították Gallaghert, de az orvosok már nem tudták megmenteni az életét, a nő belehalt sérüléseibe.

Egy madárral ütközött az SA Airlink légitársaság egyik gépe, aminek következtében letört a légcsavar egyik lapátja, és átfúrta a repülő oldalát.
A Jetstream JS-41 típusú gép a dél-afrikai Johannesburgból Venetia Mine-ba tartott, és nem sokkal leszállás előtt egy nagy madárral ütközött. A becsapódás miatt a repülő légcsavarjának egyik lapátja letört, és behatolt az utastérbe, ahol a másik falon állt meg.
A repülő rendben leszállt. A balesetben senki sem sérült meg, de a repülőgépben komoly kár keletkezett – írja az Aviation Herald.
