Lezuhant az indiai légierő (IAF) egyik kiképző gépe hétfő reggel Telangánban, a balesetben ketten – a pilótanövendék és oktatója – életüket vesztették – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
A Pilatus PC-7 Mk II típusú repülőgépen ketten tartózkodtak, a repülő a Légierő Akadémia (AFA) haidarábádi támaszpontjáról szállt fel rutingyakorlatra.
A hatóságok elmondták, hogy az IAF pilótái az alapkiképzés alatt rendszeresen gyakorlatoznak ilyen típusú repülőgépen.
A szerencsétlenség a légibázistól mintegy 55 kilométere történt, a jármű a becsapódás után azonnal lángba borult.

Lezuhant egy kisebb repülőgép csütörtökön Malajzia központi államának külvárosában. Legalább kilenc holttestet találtak – közölte a rendőrség.
Mohamad Iqbal kerületi rendőrfőnök megerősítette, hogy lezuhant egy kisebb repülőgép. Egy másik rendőrtiszt, aki nem kívánta magát megnevezni azt mondta, hogy legalább kilenc holttestet találtak.
Úgy tűnik, hogy a gép minden utasa meghalt, de további részleteket nem tudott mondani.
A közlekedési hatóságok szerint a gép fedélzetén hat utas és a személyzet két tagja tartózkodott. Szemtanúk szerint a repülőgép a becsapódáskor felrobbant, és a törmelék egy része motorkerékpároknak csapódott.
A repülőgép feltehetően az északi Langkawi üdülőszigetről tartott a Selangorban található repülőtérre, amikor probléma merült fel a gép vezérlésében és az autópályára zuhant.
A közösségi médiában megosztott videókon tűz és fekete füstfelhők emelkedtek fel a baleset helyszínéről, amely Shah Alam egyik főútja mellett, egy füves pázsiton volt. Az út egy részét sűrű korom borította. A helyszínre rendőröket és tűzoltókat vezényeltek – írta az ABC News.

A becsapódás után a gép lángokba borult, aminek gyakorlatilag csak a hátsó része maradt meg. A CNA azt írja, a FlightAware adatai szerint a repülő a lezuhanás előtt a mező felett körözött, majd ereszkedni kezdett.
Amikor a hatóságok megérkeztek a helyszínre, a gép már lángokban állt, senkin nem lehetett segíteni. Lehetséges, hogy lehettek volna túlélők, ha nem keletkezik tűz a repülőn, de erre csak a szakértői vizsgálatok adhatnak választ.
