Tovább nőtt az újonnan diagnosztizált fertőzöttek száma Szlovákiában, ahol öt roma telep mintegy hatezer lakója került karanténba.
Az országban csütörtök délig 19 új fertőzöttet diagnosztizáltak, s így a korábbiakkal együtt már 701 fertőzöttet tartanak nyilván – jelentette be Marek Krajcí egészségügyi miniszter Pozsonyban csütörtökön. Szlovákiában a hét elejétől gyorsult az újonnan diagnosztizált fertőzöttek számának növekedése, csütörtökön viszont az ütem lassulást mutatott. Míg a múlt héten a 30-as napi átlagot közelítette az újonnan diagnosztizált fertőzöttek száma, hétfőn és kedden közel ötven volt, szerdán viszont már meghaladta a százat.
Az előző napi adatok nyilvánosságra hozatalától számítva 1690 új tesztet végeztek el, csütörtök délutánig pedig az eddig összesen elvégzett teszt száma elérte a 21 371-et, ezek közül 20 670 bizonyult negatívnak. A betegségnek egyelőre két halálos áldozata van, a gyógyultak száma csütörtökön héttel nőtt, és így 23-ra emelkedett.
Közben csütörtöktől a kelet-szlovákiai Szepességben található öt roma telep került karanténba, miután az ezekben végzett vírustesztelések során sok fertőzöttet találtak. A teszteléseket a hét elején kezdték el 33 – nagyobb fertőzésveszélynek kitett – roma telepen. A karanténba került településeken élő mintegy hatezer embert tartálykocsik segítségével látják el ivóvízzel, illetve megoldották számukra, hogy élelmiszereket rendeljenek, amelyeket a hatóságok szállítanak ki számukra.
