A közösségi médiában található drámai felvételeken hatalmas lángok törnek a magasba, szinte beborítja a füst a várost.
Rosztov regionális kormányzója szerint rövidzárlat okozta a tüzet, amely miatt lángra kapott több üzemanyagtartály. Az utcát, ahol az épület található, lezárták.
A lángok az FSZB regionális határőrosztályához tartozó épületben keletkeztek a város lakott területén.
Az FSZB Oroszország belső biztonsági szolgálata, mely a titkosszolgálatért, a határbiztonságért és a terrorizmus elleni küzdelemért felelős.
Vaszilij Golubev rosztovi kormányzó szerint a tűz 800 négyzetméterre terjedt ki, és két fal összeomlott.
Rosztov-Don az ukrajnai Donyeck és Luhanszk régiókkal határos dél-orosz régió fővárosa, jelenleg heves harcok zajlanak a háborúban.
Ukrajna 2022. februári inváziója óta sorozatos gyújtogatások zajlanak Oroszországban, főleg sorkatonai hivatalokat, kormányzati épületeket ért eddig támadás.
