A helyi média szerint a két rendőr akkor sérült meg, amikor egy kocsilopással gyanúsított embert akartak letartóztatni. A lopással gyanúsított férfi ellenállt a letartóztatásnak, és elővett egy kardot az autóból.
A kialakult konfliktusban az egyik rendőr az állán, a másik a fején sérült meg.
