 A hongkongi rendőrség pénteken indított nyomozást az ügyben. A tavaly elfogadott nemzetbiztonsági törvény értelmében a kínai himnusszal szembeni tiszteletlenség akár 3 év szabadságvesztéssel is büntethető.
 Ka Long Hongkong első aranyérmét szerezte az elmúlt 25 évben. Tokióban emellett a 23 éves Siobhan Haughey volt eredményes, ő második lett 200 méteres gyorsúszásban.
