Szumi megyében az ukrán erők hat megszállt települést szabadítottak fel, és két ponton elérték a határt, miközben az oroszok több kilométert nyomultak előre Dobropillja közelében – jelentette ki kedden Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök a sajtótájékoztatóján, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Zelenszkij azt mondta: „Szumi megye. 18 pontunk volt ott – elfoglalt falvak vagy fontos pontok. Hatot felszabadítottunk. Vagyis haladunk előre. Ez jó hír. Két ponton elértük az orosz határt. Szerintem ott többé-kevésbé pozitív a helyzet.” Mint megjegyezte, délelőtt meghallgatta Oleh Aposztolnak, az ukrán fegyveres erők légideszant rohamosztag parancsnokának és Olekszandr Szirszkijnek, az ukrán fegyveres erők főparancsnokának jelentéseit.
„További 900 métert tisztítottunk meg Szumi megyében, a határhoz közeli több ponton. Zaporizzsja megyében. Tartjuk a pozícióinkat” – magyarázta az elnök. Kitért a luhanszki térségben kialakult helyzetre is. Megjegyezte, hogy nem pontosítja, mely egységekről van szó és hol, mivel az intézkedések még folyamatban vannak, de az ukrán hadsereg egy kilométert előrenyomult az ellenség állásaiban.
Az államfő szerint a legnehezebb helyzet jelenleg Kramatorszk irányában van. „Dobropillja-Kramatorsk. Mi történt ott? Az oroszok csoportjai több ponton körülbelül 10 kilométert haladtak előre. Mindegyikük felszerelés nélkül van, csak fegyver van a kezükben. Néhányat már megtaláltak, részben megsemmisítettek, részben fogságba ejtettek. A közeljövőben másokat is meg fogunk találni és megsemmisíteni. Ennek az előrenyomulásnak a feladata világos számunkra” – hangsúlyozta.
Az elnök szerint az oroszok augusztus 15-ig, Vlagyimir Putyin orosz diktátor és Trump amerikai elnök találkozója előtt bizonyos információs teret szeretnének kialakítani. „Mindenekelőtt Amerikában, ahol Oroszország halad előre, előretör, Ukrajna pedig vesztésre áll” – sajnálkozott Volodimir Zelenszkij.
