A jelentés szerint Szaharuk az ukrán televízió szombat esti műsorában elmondta: „Ha a méretekről beszélünk, ez a második legnagyobb támadás márciusban. Az előző egy hete volt. E két támadás következtében rengeteg áramtermelő és áramelosztó létesítmény megsérült. A DTEK generáló létesítményeiről szólva: 6 erőműből 5 nagyon súlyosan megsérült.”
Az ügyvezető igazgató hozzátette, hogy a támadások mértéke miatt az erőművek egy része szinte teljesen megsemmisült. Korábban Szaharuk kijelentette, hogy a március 22-i támadás során a megszállók megsemmisítették azoknak az erőműveknek a kétharmadát, amelyeket a DTEK tavaly tél óta helyreállított.

A DTEK energiaholding két hőerőműve, Burstin és Ladizsin súlyosan megrongálódott az oroszok március 22-ei, az ukrán villamosenergia-hálózat elleni támadása következtében – közölte Dmitrij Szaharuk, a DTEK vezérigazgatója az Ekonomicsna Pravda című lapnak adott interjújában.
Hozzátette azt is, hogy „a Kurahivszka erőmű, amelyet a bombák szintén súlyosan megrongáltak, nem működik”. Összességében a rendszer csaknem 2 gigawatt rendelkezésre álló kapacitást veszített el, mondta Szaharuk. Előrejelzései szerint a DTEK erőműinek egy-két egysége hamarabb fog működni, de általában véve a helyreállítás 6–24 hónapig vagy még tovább tart. Szaharuk azt is elmondta, hogy az előzetes becslések szerint a nagyberendezések mintegy 200 millió dollár értékben károsodtak, de ez az összeg a hiba elhárítása után növekedni fog.
Megjegyezte azt is, hogy a DTEK-nek mintegy tucatnyi berendezésre, elsősorban transzformátorokra van szüksége. A DTEK részben saját költségén kívánja helyreállítani erőműveit, de – mint vezérigazgatója hangsúlyozta – „a kár mértéke óriási, így a vállalat nem lesz képes helyreállítani a nemzetközi adományozók támogatása nélkül” – írta meg az Interfax.
