Az ukrán 24-es csatorna műsorvezetője, Olekszij Pecsij akkreditációt kapott a december 14–15. között megrendezett EU-csúcstalálkozóra, ahova el is utazott. Majd úgy döntött, hogy nem tér vissza Ukrajnába − írta meg az Ukrajinszka Pravda.
Az ukrán fél a háború kezdete óta korlátozza azt, hogy kik és milyen feltételek mellett hagyhatják el az országot. Az újságíró most az EU-csúcsot használta ki arra, hogy illegálisan távozzon Ukrajnából.
A tévécsatorna vezetősége közölte, hogy megdöbbentette őket Pecsij tette, és nem tudták elhinni, hogy ilyesmire képes.
Hangsúlyozzák, hogy a műsorvezető megszégyenítette kollégáit, és árnyékot vetett az ukrán újságírók hírnevére.
A honlap hivatalos állásfoglalást is közzétett, amelyben elítélték volt munkatársuk viselkedését. Pecsij maga is írt egy bejegyzést a közösségi oldalakon, amelyben azt írta, hogy nem hagyja abba a munkát, hogy azt tegye, amihez ért, és ami egy kicsit közelebb viheti az országot a győzelemhez.
Vagyis azt állítja, hogy külföldről többet tud segíteni Ukrajnának, mint odahaza.
Vera Girics, az ukrán Szabad Európa Rádió, a Radio Szvoboda újságírója az otthonát ért rakétatámadásban halt meg.
A Radio Szvoboda újságírójának kijevi házát orosz rakétacsapás érte a csütörtöki bombázáskor. Vera Girics holttestét másnap találták meg a romok alatt, közölte a Radio Svoboda.
Vera Girics négy éve dolgozott a Radio Szvoboda kijevi irodájában, előtte vezető ukrán televíziós csatornák munkatársa volt. Korábban Kijev polgármestere, Vitalij Klicsko a Telegramon számolt be arról, hogy egy holttestet találtak a romok alatt a Sevcsenko kerületben, a rakétacsapások egyik helyszínén.
A Radio Szvoboda szerkesztősége részvétét fejezte ki Vera Girics családjának.
A tegnapi orosz rakétatámadás – mely Antonio Guterres ENSZ-főtitkár látogatása alatt történt – következtében egy 25 emeletes lakóház 1. és 2. emelete részben megsemmisült, az épületben tűz ütött ki. A városi hatóságok szerint további négy ember került kórházba.
