Через пожежу на нафтовій вишці Pemex у Мексиканській затоці п’ять людей загинули, ще шість зазнали серйозних травм, а двоє зникли безвісти.
Як повідомляє інформаційний портал Sputnik, одна із жертв була співробітницею компанії Pemex, а четверо інших – постачальника Cotemar. Усіх поранених госпіталізували, один із них перебуває в реанімації у важкому стані.
Генеральний директор компанії Октавіо Ромеро Оропеса заявив, що ще дві людини розшукуються, а про смерть п’ятьох потерпілих на місці події повідомили рятувальні групи.
Інцидент стався на платформі Ku-Alfa, яка діє в складі великого комплексу Ku-Maloob-Zaap. Це одне з найбільших мексиканських родовищ, де добувають близько 640 тисяч барелів нафти на добу. Запаси родовища оцінюються в 4,9 млрд барелів.
