Сьогодні, 28 жовтня, злочинець проник у будинок спікерки Палати представників Конгресу США Ненсі Пелосі в Сан-Франциско й жорстоко напав на її чоловіка Пола Пелосі.
Про це йдеться у заяві прессекретаря Ненсі Пелосі.
За словами прессекретаря, сьогодні вранці нападник увірвався в резиденцію Пелосі в Сан-Франциско і жорстоко напав на її чоловіка Пола Пелосі. Наразі зловмисника затримано, мотиви нападу з’ясовуються.
Пола Пелосі доставили до лікарні, де він отримує медичну допомогу та чекає на повне одужання. Ненсі Пелосі під час нападу на її чоловіка не було в Сан-Франциско.
“Ненсі Пелосі та її родина вдячні рятівникам та медичним працівникам, які були залучені, а також просять зараз про конфіденційність”, – йдеться у заяві прессекретаря спікерки Палати представників Конгресу США Ненсі Пелосі.
Нагадаємо, що 2 серпня 2022 року спікерка Палати представників США Ненсі Пелосі прибула на Тайвань, здійснивши перший візит американського посадовця найвищого рівня за 25 років і спричинивши у такий спосіб напружене протистояння з Китаєм, яке може призвести до більш агресивної військової позиції останнього.
Після майже двох з половиною годин телефонної розмови між Байденом і Сі Китай попередив, що Сполучені Штати “граються з вогнем”, якщо дозволять відбутися візиту спікерки.
Представник міністерства національної оборони Китаю Тан Кефей раніше пригрозив Сполученим Штатам Америки. Він сказав, що країна буде вживати рішучих заходів для припинення будь-якого іноземного втручання та змови на користь незалежності Тайваню, а також “рішуче захищатиме свій національний суверенітет та територіальну цілісність”.
Коли літак Пелосі наближався до Тайваню, кілька китайських державних ЗМІ повідомили, що китайські винищувачі Су-35 перетинали Тайванську протоку, надавши небагато подробиць.
Під час свого візиту на Тайвань спікерка Палати представників США Ненсі Пелосі зустрілась з президенткою Тайваню Цай Інвень. У дописі Цай Інвень зауважила, що їй приємно особисто познайомитись зі спікеркою Палати представників США Ненсі Пелосі та визнати її давню підтримку Тайваню.
