 Судан передасть екс-президента Омара аль-Башира, Міжнародному кримінальному суду в Гаазі – пише CNN, посилаючись на суданські урядові джерела. Колишнього диктатора Судану звинувачують у військових злочинах, злочинах проти людства та геноциді.
 Міжнародний суд розшукує його вже багато років, в той час як у своїй країні він був притягнутий до кримінальної відповідальності за корупцію та зловживання владою.
 Омар аль-Башир, який очолював країну 30 років, був скинутий з влади військовими в квітні минулого року. Масові протести з вимогою відставки президента і зміни правлячого режиму тривали в Судані з грудня 2018 року, однак довгий час в країні була патова ситуація, адже протестуючі та опозиція Башира не хотіли, щоб в довгостроковій перспективі країною керували військові.
 Протести і надалі тривають, допоки опозиція остаточно не домовиться з армією про розподіл влади. Новий уряд було сформовано у вересні.
