Több ezren tüntettek csütörtökön Varsóban az abortuszt szabályozó törvények liberalizálását célzó, a parlamenti alsóház (szejm) napirendjére tűzött tervezetek ellen.
Az egész napos tiltakozó akció szervezői csütörtök reggel a szejm székháza előtti téren egy templomharangot állítottak ki „A meg nem születettek hangja” felirattal. A harangot a járókelők megkongathatták, a szervezők szerint azért, hogy a parlamenti ülés idején „felébresszék a képviselők lelkiismeretét”.
Délelőtti sajtókonferencián Jerzy Kwasniewski, az Ordo Iuris Intézet jogvédő alapítvány elnöke úgy ítélte meg: a parlamenti vitára csütörtökön bocsátott négy tervezet „radikálisan és egyértelműen felülírja az emberi élet alkotmányos védelmét a fogantatás pillanatától kezdve”. A tüntetők csütörtök délután Varsóban szentmisén vettek részt, majd a többezres tömeg a városközponton keresztül a szejm elé vonult „gyermekvédelmi menetként”.
A négy tervezet csütörtöki első olvasását és vitáját a parlamenti páholyban 30 feminista aktivista is meghallgatta. A lengyel kormánykoalíciót vezető Polgári Koalíció által benyújtott tervezet a terhesség 12. hetéig engedélyezné a terhesség megszakítását.
Ugyanazt tenné lehetővé a szintén a kormánykoalícióhoz tartozó Baloldal frakciója által benyújtott két tervezet is, amelyek emellett bizonyos, orvosilag meghatározott esetekben a terhesség minden szakaszában engedélyeznék az abortuszt. A kormánykoalíció további két pártja, a Lengyelország 2050 és a Lengyel Parasztpárt (PSL) közös tervezete pedig visszaállítaná az 1993-ban elfogadott, abortuszkompromisszumnak is nevezett törvény szerinti állapotot, és népszavazást hirdetne a témában.
Az 1993-as törvény három esetben engedélyezte a terhességmegszakítást: ha a terhesség nemi erőszak következménye, ha az anya élete veszélyben forog, vagy ha a magzat visszafordíthatatlan károsodást szenvedett. A lengyel alkotmánybíróság 2020-as döntése nyomán jelenleg az abortusz csak az első két esetben megengedett.
A szejm pénteken a négy kormánypárti tervezet további vitára bocsátásáról fog szavazni. Szymon Holownia házelnök korábban azt javasolta, hogy az egész csomag elbírálására hozzanak létre külön parlamenti bizottságot. Vasárnap a lengyel fővárosban több életvédő szervezet a lengyel püspöki konferencia tiszteletbeli védnökségével újabb tüntetést szervez.
Az Európai Parlament szerint az abortusz alapvető jog. A testület szerint ez nélkülözhetetlen a nemek közti egyenlőség fenntartásához. Az abortuszról szóló állásfoglalást 336 szavazattal, 163 ellenében és 39 tartózkodás mellett fogadták el.

2011 óta szeptember 28-a a nemzetközi biztonságos abortusz világnapja. Ennek alkalmából az amerikai kontinensen nagy hagyománya van az abortuszpárti tüntetéseknek, amelyek gyakran egyházellenes erőszakba torkollanak. Sajnos ez idén sem volt másképp.
A Catholic News Agency portugál híroldala arról tudósított, hogy a kolumbiai Medellin városában erőszakos abortuszpárti tüntetők felgyújtottak egy templomot, annak tudatában, hogy odabent éppen szentmise folyik, több, mint ötven résztvevővel.
A plébános, Guillermo Zuluaga atya szerint a tüntetők – körülbelül száz nő – este fél hét körül kezdték a zavargást a Loyolai Szent Ignác-templom előtti téren. Mivel a templomban épp az esti szentmisét ünnepelték, a hívek közül néhányan azonnal bezárták az ajtókat, hogy a tüntetők ne tudjanak bemenni. A zárt ajtók látványa feltüzelte a saját jogaikért tüntető nőket, akik rögtön nekiestek a több mint százéves faajtóknak, először csak egyházgyalázó feliratokkal firkálták össze, majd felgyújtották.
„Az emberek pánikba estek, mert amikor elkezdtek égni az ajtók, azt gondolták, hogy bent fognak égni a templomban” – mesélte a plébános.
A híveknek végül sikerült épségben kimenekülniük a sekrestyén keresztül. Szemtanúk szerint a tüntetők egy másik csoportja később visszatért a templomhoz, hogy még jobban megrongálják annak maradványait. A plébános által felbecsült károk értéke körülbelül hatvanmillió forintnak felel meg.
Nem ez volt azonban az abortuszpárti tüntetők egyetlen támadása a katolikus egyház ellen. Másnap, szeptember 29-én, az Egyesült Államokban, a coloradói Boulderben a Mária Szent Szíve-templomot rongálták meg „Jézus szereti az abortuszt”, „el a kezekkel a méhemtől” és „nem kérünk a tiltásaitokból” feliratokkal.
A templomhoz tartozott egy négyezer keresztből álló emlékmű is, amelyet az Egyesült Államokban meggyilkolt magzatok tiszteletére állítottak. Az abortuszpárti tüntetők ezeket sem kímélték, körülbelül minden második keresztet megrongálták.

Az elmúlt időszakban számos republikánusok által irányított államban hoztak az abortuszt megnehezítő, vagy teljesen ellehetetlenítő szabályokat, melyek miatt a Women’s March (Nők Menete) aktivistahálózat összehívta támogatóit, és Alaszkától Texasig nők ezrei vonulnak utcára, hogy tiltakozzanak a szigorítások ellen.
Ezen intézkedések közül a legnagyobb felháborodást az a Texas-államban elfogadott törvény keltette, amely kimondja, hogy nem hajtható végre abortusz miután ultrahangos vizsgálat során érzékelhetővé válik a magzat szívhangja. Ez azt is jelenti, hogy a terhesség hatodik hetétől fogva nincs lehetőség a terhesség megszakítására.

Egy politikai aktivista, „művészeti” csoport egy majdnem tizennégy méter széles molinót függesztett fel az egyesült államokbeli Arkansas egyik városában egy Krisztus-szoborra „Isten áldja az abortuszokat” felirattal. Az aktivisták építőmunkásnak álcázták magukat, hogy bejussanak a telekre, ahol a szobor áll. Az Eureka Springs nevű városkában, az Ozark-hegység közelében 1966-ban állították fel az „Ozark Krisztusa” szobrot. Kent Butler, a szobrot karbantartó és aköré épülő rendezvényekért felelős szervezet, a The Great Passion Play igazgatója a The Christian Postnak elmondta: reméli, hogy az aktivisták politikai üzenete Jézusra irányítja az emberek figyelmét – írja a Magyar Nemzet.
Ti gonoszat terveltetek ellenem, de Isten jóra fordította azt – idézte a Teremtés könyvét az igazgató. A szobor közelében hetente többször előadásokat is tartanak, amelyek Jézus szenvedéstörténtét, a passiót mutatják be az évi több mint ötszázezer látogatónak. Butler szerint a politikai aktivista csoport a Krisztus-szobrot reklámfogásként és politikai beszéd eszközeként használta fel. Az aktivisták elmondták, hogy az akció arra adott válasz, hogy egész Arkansasban és a déli államokban „drámai” módon törekednek az abortusz betiltására – írta a Fox News. A csoport közleménye az abortuszt „ünnepelni való csodának” nevezte, mondván, az „életeket ment meg”. Végül egy helyi fafeldolgozó vállalkozás segített eltávolítani a molinót a szoborról.

Lencsevégre kapták, ahogy az éj leple alatt abortuszpárti tüntetők rongálták meg a lengyel Alkotmány téri emlékművet. Úgy tűnik ugyanakkor, hogy egyre kevesebben értik a rongálók motivációit.
A felvételek szerint az aktivista először vörös festékkel írta az „Abortusz határok nélkül” feliratot a tér közepén álló emlékműre. Az egyik járókelő meg is kérdezte, hogy miért csináljátok ezt?
Azonban a nőt ez nem tántorította el, és nem sokkal később már a történelmi városközpont egyik falát firkálta.
Lányom, térj már észhez! – hallatszott egy másik járókelő hangja, amint az aktivista ezúttal LMBT-szlogent és villámokat festett a régi kőfalra.

Több tízezren gyűltek össze Varsóban péntek este az abortuszszabályzást érintő alkotmánybírósági ítélet elleni tüntetésen, tiltakozásokat más lengyelországi városokban is szerveztek – olvasható a Híradó oldalán.
A tüntetők– közöttük ott van az ellenzéki pártok több vezető politikusa is – Varsóban a belváros három különböző pontjában gyűltek össze. A menetek később a varsói Zoliborz negyed felé vettek irányt, ott rendőrségi kordon állította le őket Jaroslaw Kaczynski miniszterelnök-helyettes, a PiS elnöke háza közelében.
A tömeg azt követeli, hogy az abortusz korlátlanul legyen elérhető, és követelik a kormány leváltását is. Sok vulgáris jelszó hallatszik, a tüntetők petárdákat, jelzőfényeket lőnek ki.
A résztvevők néhány helyen ellentüntetőkkel csaptak össze, a verekedő csoportokat rendőrök választotta el egymástól. Rendőrségi közlés szerint az ellentüntetők soraiból több fociszurkolót vettek őrizetbe.
Az abortuszpárti tüntetők több varsói templom mellett vonultak, egyes szentélyeket rendőrség, másokat a nemzeti körök kezdeményezésére szerveződő őrség vette körül. Az őrséget azután állították fel, hogy múlt hét végén a tiltakozók több templomot is megrongáltak, szentmiséket zavartak meg.
Pénteken Andrzej Duda elnök, valamint Mateusz Morawiecki kormányfő a kedélyek csillapítására, a tüntetések felfüggesztésére hívtak fel. Morawiecki ismételten járványügyi érveket hozott fel. Közölte azt is: az egy hete a koronavírus-járvány miatt meghirdetett gyülekezési tilalom ellenére nem akarják feloszlatni a tömeget, mivel a nagyon fiatal tüntetők életkora miatt ez jelenleg nem lenne a helyes megközelítés. A kormányfő úgy látta: párbeszédet kellene elkezdeni az elnök aznap benyújtott törvénymódosító javaslata alapján.
Andrzej Duda pénteken benyújtotta a parlamentbe az eddigi abortusztilalom alóli kivételeken pontosító tervezetét, mely lehetővé tenné a terhességmegszakítást, ha a magzatnak az élettel összeférhetetlen károsodását valószínűsítik, de védené az abortusztól a Down-szindrómás gyermekeket.
Rafal Trzaskowski ellenzéki varsói főpolgármester a tüntetésen rögzített videóüzenetében támogatását fejezte ki a tiltakozók iránt. Úgy vélekedett: a párbeszéd előfeltétele a múlt heti alkotmánybírósági döntés visszavonása.
A varsói főpolgármesteri hivatal kezdeményezésére a főváros egyik jelképeként tartott, sztálini időkben épített Kultúrpalota homlokzatára a jelenlegi tüntetések jelképét, a vörös villámot vetítették.
