Секретна служба США заявила про затримання водія, який у вівторок пізно ввечері в’їхав на автомобілі у ворота Білого дому у Вашингтоні.
Як передає Укрінформ, про це повідомляє The Washington Post.
Зазначається, що аварія сталася приблизно о 22.40 за місцевим часом біля воріт для проїзду автомобілів на територію Білого дому.
Поки невідомо, чому автомобіль в’їхав у ворота, з якою швидкістю він рухався і чи отримав водій травми.
Місце аварії знаходиться приблизно за декілька сотень метрів від резиденції президента США Дональда Трампа.
Секретна служба також розповіла, що водія було негайно затримано співробітниками її відомства. Поки що ім’я водія не було названо публічно, і йому не були пред’явлені звинувачення.
Рано в середу розпочалося розслідування.

На оприлюднених відеокадрах видно, як чоловік, одягнений у чорне, намагається перелізти через огорожу Білого дому, що посилено охороняється. За словами очевидців, чоловік перед тим голосно лаявся, інформує New York Post.
Доволі необачний інцидент зафіксував на свій телефон турист. Відео швидко поширилося на платформах у мережі. На ньому чітко видно, як чоловік біжить до південної огорожі Білого дому, а потім залазить на неї.
Поліцейські, які перебували на місці події, негайно відреагували на подію. Агенти секретної служби Білого дому теж кинулися до огорожі. Чоловік рішуче піднімався вгору, але його зупинили шипи на верхній частині високого паркану, тож він поліз назад, де його негайно затримали правоохоронці. Особа та мотиви чоловіка наразі не розголошуються.
Турист, який зафіксував ці моменти, Девід Стенлі, в інтерв’ю Fox 5 розповів, що перед інцидентом той чоловік голосно лаявся. Стенлі додав, що йому та його дружині було лячно бачити, як снайпери Білого дому зайняли свої позиції на даху будівлі згідно з протоколом безпеки.
Сполучені Штати приділяють особливу увагу безпеці Білого дому. Ділянку площею 18 гектарів охороняють агенти спецслужб, поліцейські, передові системи безпеки та кінологи.

Наказ про евакуацію був виданий у неділю ввечері. Невдовзі на місце події прибули пожежники та співробітники екстреної служби й почали розслідування справи.
Де саме в західному крилі було знайдено речовину білого кольору, не повідомляється. Водночас експрес-тест, проведений на місці події, підтвердив, що виявлений порошок – це кокаїн.
«Ми відправили знайдений наркотик на подальший лабораторний аналіз. Розслідування того, як він потрапив до Білого дому, триває», – повідомили в секретній службі.
Президента США Джо Байдена на момент інциденту в Білому домі не було, він вирушив у Кемп-Девід у п’ятницю, звідки у вівторок повернувся до Вашингтона.
