Több mint száz embert, köztük diákokat hurcoltak el Etiópia forrongó régióiban a múlt héten, hogy váltságdíjat követeljenek értük – közölte hétfőn az Egyesült Államok addisz-abebai nagykövete. Mint mondta, szórványos összecsapások is voltak.
A tigréi régiónak viszonylagos stabilitást adó, 2022 novemberében született békemegállapodás ellenére Abij Ahmed etióp miniszterelnök kormányzatának nem sikerült az ország más forrongó térségeiben is szavatolni a biztonságot.
Tavaly az ENSZ adatai szerint több 1300-an vesztették életüket a különösen Oromia és Amhara régiókat sújtó erőszakban.
„Az Oromia és Amhara régiókban utóbbi időben történt gyakori emberrablások mutatják, hogy az elhúzódó konfliktus felbátorítja a bűnözőket és gyengíti a jogállamiságot” – húzta alá Ervin Massinga amerikai nagykövet az X-en tett bejegyzésében.
A múlt héten száznál is több diákot, illetve utazót hurcoltak el váltságdíj reményében – tette hozzá.
Szerdán három buszt tartóztattak fel ismeretlen fegyveresek Oromia régióban, nagyjából 120 kilométerre északra a fővárostól, Addisz-Abebától – mondta a Debark Egyetem egyik hallgatója, akinek később sikerült elmenekülnie és elrejtőznie egy közeli erdőségben. Beszámolója szerint az oromó nyelven beszélő fegyveresek botokkal verték és hajtották ki a járművekből az utasokat.
Hozzátette, hogy a tettesek hajviselete hasonlított az ENSZ által emberijogi jogsértések elkövetésével vádolt Oromó Felszabadítási Hadsereg (OLA) nevű lázadócsoport harcosainak hajviseletéhez.
Az egyetemi diák szerint az emberrablók egymillió birrt, vagyis nagyjából hatmillió forintnak megfelelő összeget követelnek a foglyok elengedéséért – értesült az MTI.

A helyi rendőrség közölte, hogy csütörtökön oszlatási parancsot adott ki Milton Keynes központjára.
A zűrzavarról készült felvételeken látható, amint egy biztonsági őrt gyerekek nagy csoportja vette körül. A rendőrök és a biztonságiak összetűzésbe keveredtek a tömeggel.
A gyerekek közül néhányan csuklyát viseltek és egyelőre nem tudni miért került sor az incidensre. A rendőrség nem adott információt arról, hogy megsérült-e valaki, vagy történt-e letartóztatás az eset miatt – írja a Mirror nyomán az Origo.

Ismeretlen fegyveresek több száz diákot raboltak el Nigéria északnyugati részén, Kuriga városából. A helyiek megpróbálták kimenteni a gyerekeket, de a fegyveresek visszaverték őket, és egy embert megöltek.
Fegyveresek több mint 280 nyolc és tizenöt év közötti diákot raboltak el az északnyugat-nigériai Kaduna állam egyik iskolájából csütörtökön.
Helyi kormánytisztség-viselők megerősítették az emberrablás hírét, ám a helyszínre érkező Uba Sani, Kaduna kormányzója azt közölte, egyelőre nincs pontos információjuk az elraboltak számáról.
Sani Abullah, az iskola egyik tanára elmondta, a fegyveresek rájuk törtek és a levegőbe lőttek, a személyzetnek pedig ezalatt sikerült kimenekítenie több diákot.
Egy szemtanú arról számolt be, hogy egy lányt meglőttek a fegyveresek, valamint egy tanár, akinek sikerült elmenekülnie, elmondta, hogy a helyiek megpróbálták kimenteni a gyerekeket, de a fegyveresek visszaverték őket, és egy embert megöltek.
Nigéria északnyugati régiójában az utóbbi években jelentősen megugrott a váltságdíj reményében elkövetett emberrablások száma.
A fegyveres bűnözők, dzsihadisták és az etnikai alapon szerveződő egyéb fegyveres csoportok miatt a közbiztonság az ország észak északkeleti és középső részében is rossz.
Csütörtökön az északkeleti Borno állam hatóságai azt közölték, hogy legkevesebb 200 embert, zömében tűzifát gyűjtő nőket és gyerekeket raboltak el a csádi határtól nem messze.

Egy odesszai líceum diákjai mérgezést kaptak, az ügyben nyomozást indított a rendőrség.

Rémálommá vált az osztálykirándulás annak a német csoportnak, akik egy nehezen járható ösvényre tévedtek az osztrák Alpokban. A 12-14 éves gyerekek közül többen lecsúsztak, megsérültek, helikopter és 60 hegyimentő kellett a kimentésükhöz.
Helikopterrel mentettek ki egy több mint száz fős német iskolai csoportot egy hegygerincről az ausztriai Alpokban – jelentette a Euronews. A Vorarlberg osztrák tartományban található Walmendingerhorn nevű hegyre tartó 99 diák és nyolc tanárjuk azután kerültek szorult helyzetbe, hogy az online útvonaltervezőt követve egy jelöletlen, nehezen járható ösvényre tévedtek.
Az osztrák hatóságok szerint a választott ösvény kitett, ráadásul egyes szakaszai csak hegymászó-felszerelésben, gyakorlott mászók számára járhatók.
Amikor a 12-14 éves, ludwigshafeni diákok egyik része megpróbált visszafordulni, többen is elcsúsztak az esőtől nedves köveken, és kisebb sérüléseket szenvedtek. Ekkor hívta az egyik tanár a rendőrséget.
A mentőakcióban több mint 60 hegyimentő vett részt, és egy válságkezelő csoportra is szükség volt, hogy megnyugtassák az elázott, kimerült, kihűlt és teljesen elkeseredett gyerekeket.

Elengedtek 28 diákot a túszejtők, akiket még július 5-én hurcoltak el az északnyugat-nigériai Kaduna állam egyik bentlakásos iskolájából, de 81 gyereket továbbra is fogva tartanak – közölte vasárnap John Hayab tiszteletes, aki részt vett a fiatalok kiszabadítása érdekében folytatott tárgyalásokon.
A Kaduna déli részén található baptista iskola alapítójának tájékoztatása szerint egy másik 28 fős csoportot két nappal a túszejtést követően engedtek el az emberrablók.
Mohammed Jalige, Kaduna állam rendőrségi szóvivője szerint a gyerekeket Sabon Gaya településén engedték el szombat este. Israel Akanji, a nigériai baptista gyülekezet elnöke újságíróknak elmondta, hogy az egyház nem fizetett váltságdíjat, ugyanakkor arról nem szólt, hogy esetleg a szülők így tettek volna.
A nigériai hatóságok szerint váltságdíjat követelő banditák felelősek a történtekért. A mostani eset nyomán tizenhárom iskolát zárattak be határozatlan időre a térségben.
Nigériában rendszeresek a tömeges emberrablások, december óta ez már a tizedik eset.
Henrietta Fore, az ENSZ Gyermekalapjának (UNICEF) ügyvezető igazgatója szerint az említett időszakban legalább 950 diákot hurcoltak el nigériai iskolákból. Hozzátette, hogy csak az utóbbi 6 hétben ötszáz fiatalt raboltak el négy incidens során az afrikai ország központi és északnyugati részén.
Ehhez folyamodnak többek között a térségben aktív iszlamista terroristák is, akik lányokat és nőket kényszerítenek arra, hogy dzsihadistákkal házasodjanak össze vagy öngyilkos merényleteket kövessenek el, másokat pedig dolgoztatnak. Más esetekben bűnszervezetek rabolnak el gyerekeket azért, hogy váltságdíjat követeljenek értük.

Több mint nyolcvan diákot ejtettek túszul ismeretlen fegyveresek az északnyugat-nigériai Kebbi állam egyik iskolájában – közölték pénteken egybehangzóan rendőrök, helyi lakók és egy tanár.
Az eset előző napon, csütörtökön történt, de az esti hírekből még nem lehetett tudni, hogy hány diákot vittek magukkal az emberrablók.
A tűzharcban megöltek egy rendőrt, és megsebesítettek egy diákot is. A gyermekekkel együtt öt tanárt is elraboltak.
Három hét leforgása alatt ez volt a harmadik tömeges emberrablás az ország északnyugati részén. December óta összességében több mint nyolcszáz nigériai diákot raboltak el az iskolájukból – a hatóságok szerint váltságdíj fejében – fegyveresek. Többeket elengedtek, de mások sorsa továbbra is ismeretlen.
A rajtaütéseket többnyire az északnyugati régióban követik el, függetlenül az északkeleti országrészben elkövetett támadásoktól, ahol a Boko Haram iszlamista fegyveres csoport 2014-ben több mint 270 diáklányt rabolt el Chibok városából.
Fegyveresek az ország délkeleti részében, Ogun államban szerdán négy kínai munkást raboltak el egy vasúti építkezésről, s a biztonságukért felelős őröket megölték. Kínai cégek több milliárd dolláros infrastrukturális befektetéseken dolgoznak Nigériában, gyakran rendőri védelem mellett.
Áprilisban két kínai munkást raboltak el a délnyugat-nigériai Osun államban egy bányából, a biztonsági őreiket agyonlőtték. A munkásokat négy nappal később kiszabadították.

Kezdjük azzal a ténnyel, hogy a diákokat „összeesküvéssel, csoportosan elkövetett bűncselekmény elkövetésével vádolják, amelyek durván sértik a közrendet”. Az ügyben 12, 19 és 24 év közötti vádlott van. Már több mint hat hónapja vannak előzetes letartóztatásban. A belorusz emberi jogi aktivisták az ügy mind a 12 résztvevőjét politikai fogolyként ismerték el.
Mint ismeretes, sok fehérorosz fiatal vett részt a fehéroroszországi elnökválasztás eredményei ellen szervezett tüntetéseken, szeptemberben pedig a tanév kezdetével a diákok az erőszak és a választási csalások elleni országos megmozdulások fontos elemévé váltak. A diákok részt vettek a nagy méretű vasárnapi tüntetéseken, helyi akciókat is szerveztek, gyakran közvetlenül a felső oktatási intézmények belsőudvaraiban, a bejáratoknál, az épületekben. Sokukat őrizetbe vették, és több napos letartóztatást vagy pénzbüntetést kaptak, és több tucatjukat kizárták az egyetemekről.
A „Diákok ügye” közvetlenül a Szvitlana Tihanovszkaja központja által tervezett október 26-i általános sztrájk után jelent meg. November 12-én öt minszki egyetem hallgatója, az Informatikai és Rádióelektronikai Egyetem tanára valamint az Orvostudományi Egyetem végzős diákjánál házkutatást tartott a Biztonsági Szolgálat. Ennek eredményeként 12 személy letartóztattak. Jelenleg a „Diákok ügye” dosszié már 36 kötetből áll.
Mint ismeretes, hogy a nyomozás „tüntetések összehangolásával”, „tematikus Telegram-csatorna létrehozásával”, „röplapok elkészítésével és terjesztésével”, „a tüntetések résztvevői irányításával, felkészítésével és anyagi támogatásával”, „a rendvédelmi szervek mozgásáról szóló üzenetek küldésével” vádolja a fogvatartottakat.
A vizsgálat szerint mindezek a „tüntetési akciók megzavarták az oktatási folyamatot és az egyetemek szokásos munkáját, mivel a fiatalok blokkolták a folyosókat, ezzel akadályozták a diákok és tanárok bejutását a tantermekbe, hangosan kiabáltak, fütyültek, skandáltak és énekeltek”.
A Nyomozói Bizottság információi szerint a vádlottak videokonferencia keretén belül folyamatosan egyeztettek Szvitlana Tihanovszkajával.
Március végén Fehéroroszország Főügyésze bejelentette, hogy a vádlottak tervet készítettek a „jogellenes eredmény” elérésére. A Főügyészség szerint a terv az alábbi pontokat tartalmazta:
„egyes társadalmi csoportok – diákok és tanárok – képviselőinek bevonása az jogellenes tevékenységekben való részvételbe; a tiltakozó akciók információs támogatása, további terjesztése a társadalmi tudat befolyásolása céljából; rendezvények szervezése, amelyek gyakorisága a résztvevők ellenkező viselkedési modelljét váltotta ki, segítette a tiltakozási aktivitás kialakulását, a fiatalság irányítása módjainak kipróbálása.”
Május 14-én mintegy 200 ember érkezett Minszk Zsovtnevi kerületi bíróságának épületébe – rokonok, barátok, évfolyamtársak, politikusok és újságírók. A tárgyalóterembe csupán 25 személyt engedtek be rokonak, vádlottanként kettőt. Az EU-s országok diplomatái, akik a tárgyalóterembe szerettek volna bemenni, már nem jutottak be a tárgyalásra. A rendőrség a tömeg feloszlására szólított fel, azután letartóztatásokra került sor.
Jelenleg már 14 fogvatartottról van információ, közöttük van Anantolij Lebegyko, az Egyesült Polgári Párt egykori vezetőije és Szvitlana Tihanovszkaja képviselője, valamint Ljubov Kaszperovics, közismert újságíró. A letartóztatása előtt interjút készített az egyik vádlott barátjával. A „Diákok ügyében”a bírósági tárgyalások június 7-ig tartanak. Az is ismertté vált, hogy az eljárást gyakorlatilag minden nap megtartják. A vád képviselői szerint hamarosan megkezdődik az eljárás a „tüntetések vezetői és szervezői” ellen.

A nyugat-nigériai Kaduna államban péntekre virradóra fegyveresek diákokat ejtettek foglyul és hurcoltak el – tudatta egy nigériai kormányzati tisztségviselő.
A terrorista akció részleteiről a hírügynökségi jelentések egyelőre csak helyi szemtanúk alapján számolhattak be. Eszerint a Kaduna város peremén, a katonai akadémia épülete mellett felépült erdészeti gépészképző iskola kollégiuma irányából éjszaka lövéseket hallottak, sokan azt hitték, hogy a katonai akadémia rendszeres gyakorlatainak egyikéről van szó.
Amikor e szemtanúk a helyszínre érkeztek, az iskola tanárai és növendékei elmondták, hogy fegyveresek megtámadták az épületet, és elhurcolták a diákok egy csoportját, állítólag az elhurcoltak mind lányok voltak. A katonák az ott maradt diákokat biztos helyre, az akadémia épületébe vitték, amelyet katonák védenek.
December óta ez volt a negyedik csoportos emberrablás az afrikai országban, legtöbbjüket a dzsihadista Boko Haram szervezet hajtja végre. Ezeknek az akcióknak a sorozata azonban jóval korábban vette kezdetét. 2014-ben az északkeleti Chibokból 270 iskolás lányt hurcoltak el. Az eset hatalmas felháborodást váltott ki világszerte.
Tavaly decemberben 300 fiút raboltak el fegyveresek egy iskolából, februárban pedig 300 lányt.
Utóbbiakat hamar elengedték, ám a fiúkról azóta sem tudni. Ugyanazon a napon ismeretlen fegyveresek legkevesebb tíz embert meggyilkoltak egy nigériai bányásztelepen, mintegy száz másikat pedig elhurcoltak Zamfara államban.
Nigériában az iszlamisták egyebek között azért folyamodnak tömeges emberrablásokhoz, hogy például a foglyul ejtett lányokat és nőket házasságra kényszerítsék dzsihadistákkal, vagy arra, hogy öngyilkos merényleteket kövessenek el, másokat pedig dolgoztatnak. Más esetekben bűnszervezetek rabolnak el gyerekeket azért, hogy váltságdíjat követeljenek értük.
A zamfarai hatóságok és az állam területén aktív fegyveres csoportok között már egy éve sikertelenül folynak a fegyverletételt célzó tárgyalások. Muhammadu Buhari nigériai államfő ugyan szigorú biztonsági intézkedéseket rendelt el az iskolák védelmére, március 2-án repüléstilalmi zónát rendelt el Zamfara államban, betiltotta a bányászati tevékenységet, és parancsba adta a katonák és hírszerzők nagyszabású telepítését a térségbe a rend helyreállítása érdekében.
A mostanihoz hasonló emberrablásokat azonban így sem sikerül megelőzni. Az elnök ugyanakkor felhívta a figyelmet, hogy ha váltságdíjat fizetnek a rablóknak, azzal tovább bátorítják őket.
