ФБР провело пресконференцію після вбивства Чарлі Кірка, відомого консервативного політичного активіста, в четвер уранці за американським часом. 31-річний чоловік був убитий у середу під час виступу в Університеті Юта-Веллі.
За повідомленням CNN, було знайдено зброю вбивці, потужну мисливську рушницю, яку виявили в лісистій місцевості. Було встановлено, як він втік з місця події, а також з’ясовано, яким чином він рухався в будівлі. Були знайдені сліди взуття та відбитки долонь, на даний момент отримано 130 повідомлень.
Вже встановлено, що підозрюваний прибув до кампусу о 11:52 за місцевим часом. Його пересування відстежували по сходах до даху, а потім по даху до місця пострілу.
Про злочинця сказали, що це молодий чоловік студентського віку, розпочато його розшук. Також додали, що мають якісний відеозапис із підозрюваним, але поки що його не ідентифікували.
Дональд Трамп назвав вбивство «темною годиною Америки» і звинуватив «радикальну лівицю» в політичному насильстві. Віцепрезидент Венс написав, що їде до Юти і не братиме участі в урочистостях 11 вересня.
За даними влади, постріл, ймовірно, був зроблений з більш віддаленої точки, з даху будівлі — приблизно за 180 метрів від сцени, тому розслідування зосереджується на зборі та вивченні записів з дахів/будівель та записів із камер спостереження. Одна людина загинула внаслідок вибуху бомби, що стався в суботу, 17 травня, поблизу клініки репродуктивного здоров’я American Reproductive Centers у місті Палм-Спрінгс, Каліфорнія. Федеральне бюро розслідувань вже кваліфікувало цей інцидент як „навмисний терористичний акт” і розглядає версію вибуху замінованого автомобіля.

Особу загиблого наразі не встановлено. Проте, як зазначив керівник місцевого відділення ФБР Акіл Девіс, активний розшук підозрюваних на даний момент не ведеться, що може вказувати на те, що загибла особа і була виконавцем теракту.
Сама клініка репродуктивного здоров’я зазнала пошкоджень: вибухом частково обвалило дах та пошкодило офісні приміщення, де проходять консультації. На щастя, за словами керівника клініки доктора Махера Абдалли, лабораторія екстракорпорального запліднення (ЕКЗ) та збережені ембріони не постраждали. Також ніхто з персоналу не зазнав ушкоджень, оскільки, за щасливим збігом обставин, у день вибуху прийому пацієнтів у клініці не було. У своїй заяві медичний заклад висловив співчуття з приводу трагедії та оголосив про намір повністю відновити роботу вже в понеділок, 19 травня, „продовжуючи служити з силою, любов’ю та надією”.
За повідомленнями, на місці вибуху, що стався близько 11:00 за місцевим часом, видно згорілий автомобіль, а уламки розлетілися на значну відстань. Очевидці розповідали про потужний вибух, від якого здригнулися сусідні будівлі, та про велику хмару диму.

Трамп заявив, що він перебуває в безпеці й почувається добре, а підозрюваного затримали. Офіційної інформації про його особу поки немає.
Співробітники правоохоронних органів повідомили, що агенти секретної служби, яка охороняє Трампа, помітили озброєного чоловіка в кущах поблизу поля для гольфу, недалеко від місця, де грав Трамп. Агенти зробила попереджувальні постріли, і підозрюваний втік, але згодом був затриманий.
Влада припускає, що ця людина хотіла стріляти в Трампа. Також у поліції підтвердили повідомлення сина кандидата Дональда Трампа-молодшого, який написав у соцмережі X, що у кущах знайшли автомат.

Водія, який навмисно в’їхав у ворота штаб-квартири Федерального бюро розслідувань в Атланті, заарештували. У ФБР повідомили, що автомобіль проїхав через ворота для співробітників близько полудня в понеділок. Водій мав намір прорватися в будівлю, але правоохоронці зупинили його за допомогою автоматичних болардів.
Зловмисника доставили до лікарні, а потім узяли під варту.
Представник відомства Пітер Елліс повідомив, що підозрюваний їхав упритул за одним зі співробітників, щоб проскочити через перший шлагбаум. На думку правоохоронців, водій навмисно намагався проникнути в будівлю, його мотиви наразі невідомі.

Американське ФБР та інші компанії з США допомагають Україні збирати докази скоєння воєнних злочинів.
Про це повідомляє Reuters з посиланням на свої джерела у Вашингтоні.
В основному йдеться про цифрову інформацію, таку як перехоплення дзвінків, геолокацію, інформацію з мобільних телефонів та їх власників.
Зазначається, що ФБР не приховує, що допомагає українській стороні.
«Збір інформації, її аналіз та подальше застосування – це те, в чому ФБР має великий досвід», – сказав Reuters спецагент ФБР Алекс Кобзанець.
Крім того, проводяться аналізи зразків ДНК убитих цивільних і загиблих військових.
Все це – свідчення тісної співпраці США та України в галузі кібербезпеки, в якій обидві країни вважають росію загрозою, зазначає агентство.
У ФБР заявляють, що до збору та аналізу даних також залучено низку американських профільних компаній, і шанси того, що максимальну кількість воєнних злочинів та винних у них буде встановлено, дуже високі.

За допомогою блокчейн-аналізатора Chainalysis Федеральне бюро розслідувань вилучило криптовалюту на 30 мільйонів доларів, викрадену північнокорейською хакерською групою Lazarus, повідомляє Engadget.
Ці кошти є незначною частиною криптовалюти на суму 625 мільйонів доларів, яку зловмисники з Північної Кореї викрали з онлайн-гри Axie Infinity, заснованої на цифрових валютах. Це перший випадок конфіскації криптовалюти, викраденої північнокорейською групою хакерів.
Власники онлайн-гри повідомили, що повернуті цифрові активи будуть поступово спрямовуватися жертвам, але це може зайняти кілька років.
Північнокорейська група, названа на честь біблійного Лазаря, діє понад десять років. У 2014-му ці хакери атакували компанію Sony після того, як вона зняла комедію про Кім Чен Ина. Окрім розповсюдження програм-вимагачів, за останні роки група пограбувала кілька банків, казино та компаній.
У 2015-му зловмисники зламали ІТ-систему центральної кредитної установи в Бангладеш і заволоділи понад мільярдом доларів, але зрештою змогли вкрасти лише 81 мільйон. Співробітники ФБР не знають, скільки людей у цій групі, хто її керівник, але впевнені, що хакери працюють на уряд Північної Кореї.
У їхніх акціях бере участь злочинний світ. У Сполучених Штатах вважають, що їм допомагають і китайські спецслужби. Раніше група хакерів запустила криптовалюту під назвою Marine Chain, яка була шахрайством: інвестори, що купували її, втратили свої гроші. Lazarus створює криптовалютні гаманці та програми, а потім використовує отримані таким чином дані для крадіжки статків трейдерів. Tornado Cash, яка нещодавно потрапила під санкції США, використовувалася для відмивання крадених грошей.

1 вересня ФБР та Міністерство внутрішньої безпеки США провели обшуки в будинках, які можуть бути пов’язані з російським олігархом та союзником Володимира Путіна Віктором Вексельбергом. Про це повідомляє американський телеканал NBC News.
Детективи побували в його будинку на Фішер-Айленді в Маямі, у маєтку в Саутгемптоні (штат Нью-Йорк), а також у квартирі на Парк-авеню на Манхеттені. Як уточнюється, звідти поліція винесла кілька коробок.
В офіційних інстанціях у США причини обшуків поки не коментують.
Російський підприємець з оточення Путіна також є об’єктом розслідування міністерства юстиції США за звинуваченням у банківському шахрайстві. Жодних звинувачень у цій справі поки не пред’явлено.
Віктор Вексельберг — під санкціями з 2018 року
Віктор Вексельберг із березня 2022 року перебуває під санкціями США у зв’язку з війною в Україні.
До цього санкції проти нього запроваджували ще у квітні 2018 року США через його ймовірну причетність до втручання в американські вибори. Всі його активи у США заморозили, американським компаніям заборонено співпрацювати з олігархом із країни-агресора.
Очолювана Вексельбергом група компанія „Ренова” включає металургійні, гірничодобувні, технологічні та ряд інших активів.
