Az öt embert, akik egy Csehországból érkezett csoporthoz
tartoztak, 2800 méter magasságban sodorta el a lavina, Ramsau-am-Dachstein
településéhez közel.
A helyi rendőrség szóvivője, Kerstin Hinterecker azt mondta,
a holttesteket azonosításra Hallstatt városába szállították.
Egyelőre nem tudni, mi okozta a lavinát.

Többen életüket vesztették Törökország keleti felén két lavinában, sokan a hó alatt rekedtek – közölték a helyi hatóságok szerdán.
Az első hóomlás
kedden késő este egy autópályán történt a keleti Van
tartományban található Bahcesaray körzetben. A hótömeg egy
hókotrót és egy kisbuszt söpört el. Öten életüket vesztették,
a kisbusz sofőrje és nyolc utasa megmenekült, ketten azonban
eltűntek.
A második lavina az
eltűnteket kereső mintegy háromszáz fős mentőegység nyolc
tagjának az életét követelte – közölte az NTV török
televízió, hozzátéve, hogy a munkálatokat köd és erős hóesés
akadályozza.
A török belügyminisztérium közlése szerint 10-15 ember a hó alatt rekedhetett, a mentőszolgálat 30 tagját viszont sikerült élve kiemelni a hótömegek alól, őket azóta kórházban kezelik.

Lavinában öten vesztették életüket a hétvégén a síelők és túrázok által közkedvelt észak-olaszországi Dolomitokban és a Svájci Alpokban.
Az olasz rendőrség szombaton közölte, hogy két német gyerek és egy nő meghalt. A hógörgeteg Dél-Tirolban, Merano városától nyugatra, Schnalstal síközpontban temette maga alá őket, továbbá még két embert befedett. Utóbbiakat sikerült kiszabadítani a hóréteg alól, kisebb sérülésekkel kerültek kórházba. Az egyik sérült annak a nőnek a gyereke, aki meghalt.
Miután a hegyi mentők megállapították, hogy a hó alatt nincsenek további áldozatok, a kutatást vasárnap leállították.
Az ügyészség vizsgálatot indított annak kiderítésére, miként érhette el lavina a síelésre jóváhagyott térséget.
Az olasz közszolgálati televízió vasárnapi közlése szerint a negyedik halálos áldozat egy síelő volt, akit három másik emberrel sodort el a lavina egy hegyi menedékház közelében a Dolomitokban. Három társát élve mentették ki a hegyi mentők. Állampolgárságát egyelőre nem tudni.
A Svájci Alpokban egy német férfi vesztette életét, aki a fiával indult a Schilthorn hegyfokra, de 2700 méteres magasságba elsodorta egy lavina.
