A rendőrség percekkel a támadás után elfogta a feltételezett elkövetőt, az intézmény 23 éves hallgatóját. A négy sebesült közül egy az egyetem végzős hallgatója, őt súlyos, de stabil állapotban szállították kórházba. A másik három sérült nem az iskola tanulója, az egyiküket súlyos, a másikat válságos állapotban szállították kórházba. A negyedik sérült megtagadta az orvosi ellátást.
A hatóságok úgy vélik, véletlenszerű támadás történt. A gyanúsítottat percekkel a támadás után elfogták, a vádemelés folyamatban van.
