Російські окупанти дійсно знищили один з бойових танків Challenger 2, який Британія передала Збройним силам України.
Про це повідомляє Sky News.
Міністр оборони Британії Грант Шеппс підтвердив знищення танка Challenger 2 в Україні. Він зазначив, що це могло статися „у військовій зоні”.
При цьому Шеппс наголосив, що Британія не надасть заміну знищеному танку.
Вчора у мережі з’явилося відео, на якому видно як танк, схожий на Challenger 2, горить.
Джерела ЗМІ в оборонному відомстві повідомляли, що танк міг підірватися на міні, що спричинило пожежу в задньому паливному баку.
При цьому зазначимо, що танк має дуже гарний захист. А джерело ВВС в одному із західних оборонних відомств зауважило, що екіпаж із чотирьох людей вижив.

Танк Т-90 російського виробництва, імовірно, потрапив на територію США для вивчення конструкції.
Військову техніку на причепі вантажівки зафіксував на камеру американець, котрий заїхав на заправку в штаті Луїзіана поблизу міста Роанок.
Придивившись до бойової машини, чоловік визначив, що це танк Т-90 російського виробництва, і зробив ще кілька фотографій, якими й поділився на інтернет-сервісі Reddit.
«Я зупинився на заправці поїсти й помітив танк. Одразу впізнав, що це Т-90, бо дуже люблю танки і бачив багато Т-90 у військовій грі War Thunder. Я швидко зробив кілька фотографій», – цитує німецький новинний портал ZDF слова затятого любителя бойових машин.
За словами чоловіка, вантажівка, яка перевозила танк, була змушена зупинитися біля заправки через несправність. Поблизу американець не побачив ані військових, ані будь-кого іншого: вантаж залишився фактично без нагляду.
Видання ZDF почало обдумувати, як російський танк опинився на заправці в глибинці США.
За однією з версій, це трофейний танк Т-90 з білими хрестоподібними розпізнавальними знаками українських військових. Якщо припущення правильне, бойова машина, імовірно, була доставлена в Сполучені Штати для детального вивчення.
Як зазначив один із німецьких військових експертів, якого цитує ZDF, випадки, коли представники компаній, що перевозять військову техніку, зупиняються для відпочинку, не є рідкісними. Подібні вантажі фіксували й на дорогах у Німеччині. За даними видання, протягом війни українські військові затрофеїли 12 російських танків Т-90.
Згідно з базою даних організації, що спеціалізується на каталогізації російських втрат, згаданий танк міг бути захоплений українцями під Харковом у вересні 2022 року, зазначає видання. В інтернеті є тогорічні кадри, за якими можна ідентифікувати цю бойову машину, ідеться в статті.
Як повідомляє авторитетний військовий журнал Janes, у військових експертів з’явилися нові можливості для вивчення Т-90, адже вони можуть «розібрати російський танк до останнього гвинтика».
Т-90, розроблений на початку 1990-х років, використовується російськими військовими, а також Індією та В’єтнамом.

Відзначено, що Окружний суд міста Кіль, що на півночі країни, призначив пенсіонеру умовний термін ув’язнення терміном 14 місяців і зобов’язав його виплатити штраф у розмірі 250 тисяч євро.
З них 50 тисяч євро треба сплатити в державну казну, решта суми штрафу піде на благодійність.
Суд також зобов’язав підсудного, ім’я якого не названо, протягом наступних двох років продати чи передати 45-тонний танк і зенітну гармату тематичному музею чи колекціонерові.
