Kínában kábítószer előállításának bűntette miatt újabb kanadai állampolgárt ítéltek halálra.
A dél-kínai Kanton (Kuangcsou) középfokú bírósága csütörtökön közleményben jelentette be az ítéletet, amelyet a legfelsőbb bíróságnak kell jóváhagynia. A helyi sajtó beszámolói szerint aXu Weihong nevű kanadai állampolgárságú elítélt, társával együtt 2016. októbere óta ketamint állított elő, amelyet Xu otthonában tároltak. A kínai rendőrség az ügy kapcsán több mint 120 kilogramm ketamint foglalt le az elítélt otthonában, és egy másik címen.Xu társát, a kínai állampolgárságú Ven Kuang-hsziongot életfogytiglani börtönbüntetésre ítélték.Kínában tavaly két másik kanadai állampolgárt ítéltek halálra két, egymástól független kábítószeres ügyben. Az ítélet ellen mindkét esetben fellebbezést nyújtottak be.
Vang Ven-pin kínai külügyi szóvivő csütörtöki sajtótájékoztatóján a legújabb eset kapcsán úgy nyilatkozott, hogy az nem fogja befolyásolni a kínai-kanadai kapcsolatokat.
A két ország kapcsolata azt követően vált feszültté, hogy a kanadai hatóságok 2018 végén amerikai kérésre őrizetbe vették Meng Van-csout, a Huawei kínai telekommunikációs óriásvállalat pénzügyi igazgatóját. Röviddel Meng elfogását követően Kínában két kanadai állampolgárt vettek őrizetbe, de Peking tagadja, hogy elfogásuknak köze lenne Meng ügyéhez. Michael Kovrig korábbi diplomata és Michael Spavor üzletember ellen idén júniusban kémkedés miatt emeltek vádat.

Részletes információkkal nem szolgál a rendőrség arról a hírről, mely szerint kokaint találtak a brit királyi családnál. A sajtó azonban megszellőztetett néhány részletet a botránnyal kapcsolatban. Értesüléseik szerint a westminsteri Szent Jakab Palota (St James’s Palace) egyik mosdójában az egyik személyi testőr kilenc csomag kokaint és ketamint talált. Őrizetbe vették a királynő különleges testőrségének egyik tagját.
A palota formális ünnepségek, állami látogatások helyszíne a mai napig, a királyi család két tagja, Alexandra és Anna hercegnő is rendszeresen használja – írja a Ripost.

Huszonkilenc év óta a legnagyobb kábítószerfogását jelentette be szerdán a hongkongi rendőrség: csaknem három mázsa metamfetamint kobozott el.
A drogot egyetlen akció során sikerült lefoglalni. Hét embert őrizetbe vettek, akiknek életkora 26 és 57 év között van. Kábítószer-csempészet és -birtoklás mellett tiltott fegyver és hamis eszközök birtoklása címén indult ellenük eljárás.
A rendőrség közlése szerint valószínűleg további letartóztatások is lesznek a szállítmánnyal összefüggésben. A hongkongi rendőrségnek áprilisban ez már a második jelentős fogása. A hónap elején csaknem hat mázsa hasist foglalt le rajtaütéssel egy parkolóhelyen.

A megyei ügyészség a
bíróság elé terjesztett egy szervezett bűnbanda négy résztvevőjével szembeni
vádiratot, akik metamfetamin értékesítésével foglalkoztak a Huszti járás
területén.
Az említett személyeket
2019 augusztusában állították elő a megyei nemzeti rendőrség súlyos
bűncselekményekkel foglalkozó osztályának nyomozói, valamint a rendőrség
kábítószer-ellenes egységének munkatársai.
A vizsgálat során
bebizonyosodott, hogy a szervezett csoport metamfetamin illegális vásárlásával,
birtoklásával és értékesítésével foglalkozott profitszerzés céljából. A banda
minden tagját előzetes letartóztatásba helyezték, óvadékuk egyenként 1–2 millió
hrivnya. A férfiak ellen büntetőeljárás indult, az üggyel kapcsolatos
vizsgálatok jelenleg is folynak.
