Az Európai Bizottság vizsgálatot indított annak megállapítására, hogy a Facebook közösségi portál megsértette-e az uniós versenyszabályokat a hirdetési piacon szerzett információk jogszerűtlen felhasználásával a versenytársak megkárosítására – közölte Margrethe Vestager, az uniós bizottság digitális korra felkészült Európáért felelős biztosa pénteken.
Az uniós biztos közölte: az Európai Bizottság azt vizsgálja, hogy a közösségi oldal visszaélt-e a rendelkezésére álló, nagymennyiségű adattal a versenytársak kárára, illetve, hogy a megszerzett adatok indokolatlan versenyelőnyt biztosítanak-e a vállalatnak az online apróhirdetések piacán.
A vizsgálat azt is fel fogja mérni, hogy a Facebook Marketplace nevű online apróhirdetési szolgáltatása megfelel-e az EU versenyszabályainak, vagy a felvetődött aggályoknak megfelelően jogszerűtlenül használja-e az üzleti szempontból érzékeny információkat saját szolgáltatása népszerűsítésére.
Vestager emlékeztetett, hogy a Facebookot havonta csaknem 3 milliárd ember használja, felületein csaknem 7 millió cég hirdet. A vállalat hatalmas mennyiségű adatot gyűjt közösségi hálózata felhasználói tevékenységeiről, ami lehetővé teszi számára, hogy hirdetéseivel meghatározott csoportokat célozzon meg. Felhívta a figyelmet arra is, hogy a Facebook olyan vállalatokkal is versenyez, amelyektől szintén adatokat gyűjt. „A mai digitális gazdaságban az adatokat nem szabad versenytorzító módon felhasználni” – szögezte le Margrethe Vestager.

Egészségügyi okokra hivatkozva mondott fel a BBC-nél Martin Bashir régiós szerkesztő, mielőtt nyilvánosságra hoznák az arról szóló vizsgálat eredményét, hogyan győzte meg Diana walesi hercegnőt arról, hogy interjút adjon neki még 1995-ben – írja a Guardian, hozzátéve, hogy Bashir már hónapok óta betegszabadságon volt, és szívműtétei után további egészségügyi problémákkal néz szembe.
A vizsgálat tavaly indult a BBC-nél az 1997-ben elhunyt Diana családjának nyomására. A célja az volt, hogy kiderüljön, Bashir valóban hamisított dokumentumokkal vette-e rá a hercegnőt arra, hogy kamera előtt a házasságának válságáról beszéljen neki. A vizsgálat eredménye már megvan, és a BBC hamarosan publikálni fogja, valamint készül az eredeti interjút is közlő Panorama sorozatban is egy új adás a témában.
Ez volt az az interjú, amely berobbantotta Martin Bashir karrierjét, miután Diana hercegnő az interjúban elmondta neki Camilla cornwalli hercegnőre utalva: Hárman voltunk ebben a házasságban.
A Guardian tavaly novemberben jelentetett meg egy interjút Matt Wiessler grafikussal, aki azt állította: Bashir 1995-ben azzal bízta meg, hogy gyorsan készítsen hamis bankszámla-kivonatokat. Bashir állítólag ezeket mutatta meg Diana testvérének, Charles Spencernek, azt állítva, hogy a média sokat költött arra, hogy egyesek meggyőzzék a királyi családot, hogy információkat szivárogtassanak a házasságról.
Wiessler ráadásul azt állítja: noha Bashir megcsinálta a karrierjét, és később olyan sztárokkal interjúzhatott, mint Michael Jackson, ő maga a médiacég feketelistájára került azért, amiért elkészítette a hamis dokumentumokat.
A BBC már korábban is indított egy belső vizsgálatot. Akkor azt mondták: Bashir „nem gondolkodott”, amikor a dokumentumok elkészítésére adott megbízást, de „alapvetően őszinte és tisztességes ember”. Állításuk szerint birtokukban van egy kézzel írott jegyzet Diana hercegnőtől, amelyen azt állítja, a számlák nem befolyásolták a döntését. Ez ugyanakkor meglehetősen közvetett bizonyíték, hiszen a vád szerint Dianát a testvére beszélte rá az interjúra, akit már befolyásolhattak a számlák.

Kamion és személygépkocsi ütközött a Kijev–Csap autóúton, a munkácsi járási Vezérszállás közelében. A VAZ sofőrje a helyszínen belehalt sérüléseibe. A baleset kapcsán a rendőrség vizsgálatot indított.
A rendőrségre március 11-én 11 óra 35 perckor érkezett bejelentés, miszerint baleset történt az állami jelentőségű Kijev–Csap autóút munkácsi járási szakaszán. A helyszínen a szakértők és a rendőrségi helyszínelők előzetesen meghatározták a baleset körülményeit: a VAZ 2108 személygépkocsi vezetője Vezérszállás település közelében Csap irányába közlekedett, amikor áthajtott a szembejövő sávba, és egy „DAF” típusú kamionnal ütközött. A teherautó sofőrje, egy 44 éves ternopili lakos, a baleset következtében nem szenvedett sérülést. Az ütközést követően a személygépkocsi sofőrje, egy 31 éves szolyvai lakos a helyszínen életét vesztette. A rendőrség nyomozói Ukrajna Büntető törvénykönyvének 286. cikkelye 2. része alapján indítanak büntetőeljárást (közlekedései szabályok megszegése, amely a sértett halálához vezetett).
A baleset résztvevőinek autóit a rendőrök lefoglalták és elszállították. Az előzetes nyomozás részeként a vizsgálatok elvégzését követően megállapításra kerülnek a baleset objektív körülményei és okai, közölte a Kárpátaljai megyei rendőrség kommunikációs osztálya.

Néhány hónapos működése alatt mintegy 84 panaszt nyújtott be a pedofília eseteit vizsgáló lengyel állami különbizottság. Hat egyházi személy esetében is ügyészségi eljárást kezdeményeztek – számolt be a lengyel sajtó nyomán az MTI. A hat egyházi személyre vonatkozó két kereset dokumentumai szerint „elegendő ismerettel rendelkeztek” bizonyos, korábbi években elkövetett pedofil esetekről, amelyet azonban nem osztottak meg a büntetőjogi szervekkel.
Az onet.pl azt írta, többek között Stanisław Dziwisz nyugalmazott krakkói érsek is érintett ebben, a gyanúsítottak nevét azonban a hatóságok nem erősítették meg. A bizottság szerint mindenesetre nincs formális akadálya, hogy az érintettek ellen bűnvádi eljárás induljon.
A krakkói kerületi ügyészség a PAP hírügynökség megkeresésére közölte: hozzájuk irányították az állami ügyészségtől a különbizottság kereseteit.
A 15 év alatti gyermekekkel szembeni szexuális visszaélések eseteit, illetve ezek eltussolását is vizsgáló állami különbizottság tavaly júliusban alakult meg. A különféle társadalmi közegekben előforduló pedofil esetek vizsgálatára hivatott héttagú testületben az államfő, a kormányfő és a gyermekjogi szóvivő egy-egy képviselője kapott helyet, három tagját a parlamenti alsóház, egyet pedig a felsőház választotta meg hétéves időszakra.
A bizottság büntetőeljárások kezdeményezése mellett arra is jogosult, hogy a pedofil tettekért jogerősen elítéltek nevét és foglalkozását egy nyilvánosan elérhető listán közzétegye.
Lengyelországban 2019-ben szigorítottak a kiskorúakkal szembeni visszaélésekért kiszabható büntetéseken. Az ilyen bűncselekmény öttől harminc évig terjedő, rendkívüli esetekben akár életfogytiglani szabadságvesztéssel is sújtható, csakis letöltendő szabadságvesztés szabható ki érte, és nem évül el.

Az OLAF gyanúja szerint szabálytalan kifizetések történtek a Frontex költekezésekor. Néhány EP-képviselő és aktivista lemondásra szólította fel Leggerit, aki közölte: nem áll szándékában lemondani, hangsúlyozva: az emberkereskedelem elleni harcban most óriási szükség van a Frontexre.
De nem csak a csalás gyanúja lengi körül a szervezetet, a ZDF és a Le Monde is közzétett ugyanis olyan dokumentumokat, amelyek arra utalnak, hogy tucatnyi technikai és védelmi eszközökkel foglalkozó lobbista nyomul a határőrök körül úgy, hogy megszegik a transzparencia uniós szabályait. Emellett sajtóértesülések szerint a Frontex székhelyén dolgozó munkatársak zaklatásáról is szólnak a szervezet elleni vádak.
A Frontex igazgatósága egy külön vizsgálócsoportot is felállított a gyanús esetek kivizsgálására, a testületbe a tagországok és az Európai Bizottság is delegált tagokat.

A Csuhujev közelében lezuhant AN-26-os gép balesetének vizsgálata során számos szabályszegésre derült fény a repülés előkészítése és végrehajtása során, többen is jogellenesen tartózkodtak a gépen.
A fedélzeten kialakult „válsághelyzet” alatt a vezetőség nem tett elegendő intézkedést a katasztrófa elkerülése érdekében, nyilatkozta Szerhij Licsik, a Honvédelem területére szakosodott katonai ügyészség helyettes vezetője.
Elmondása szerint a repülést mind a repülőgép üzemeltetési, mind a repülések végrehajtási szabályainak megsértésével engedélyezték.
Vagyim Prijmacsok, az Állami Nyomozó Iroda nyomozói főosztályának vezetője elmondta, hogy a repüléshez azok a kadétpilóták is engedélyt kaptak, akiknek még nem volt tapasztalatuk a rakománnyal rendelkező repülőgépek vezetésében.
Amint megjegyezte, a parancsnok a személyzet kiképzésének koncepcióját a kadétpilóták, valamint a kadét-navigátorok képzésével egyidejűleg hagyta jóvá. Prijmacsok szerint az ilyen cselekmények jogellenesek.
Mivel egyidejűleg képzést is tartottak, a kadét pilóták nem vezethették a rakománnyal és utasokkal teli gépet, tehát törvényellenesen engedték fel őket a gépre – hangsúlyozta ki az Állami Nyomozó Iroda nyomozója.
Prijmacsok szerint a legénység parancsnokának is szabálysértéssel engedélyezték a repülést. A nyomozó elmondta, hogy több mint 11 hónapja nem újította fel az éjszakai repülési képességeit, amit a dokumentumok tiltanak, egyben hozzátette, hogy a segédparancsnok sem tartózkodott a fedélzeten.
Licsik egyben hozzátette, hogy részletesebb információval a vizsgálat eredményeinek kézhezvétele után szolgálnak.
