A Nemzetbiztonsági Tanács egyik tisztviselője megerősítette, hogy Izrael és a Hamász közötti konfliktusban 9 amerikai állampolgár vesztette életét, közölte az UNN a CNN-re hivatkozva.
„Jelenleg kilenc amerikai állampolgár halálát tudjuk megerősíteni. Mély részvétünket fejezzük ki az áldozatoknak és minden érintett családnak, és mielőbbi felépülést kívánunk a sebesülteknek. Továbbra is szoros figyelemmel kísérjük a helyzetet…” – áll az USA Nemzetbiztonsági Tanácsának közleményében.
Matt Miller, a Külügyminisztérium képviselője a CNN TV-csatorna egyik tudósítójával folytatott beszélgetésében megerősítette ezt a közleményt.

A Hamász terroristáinak Izrael elleni támadása az egyik legnagyobb izraeli hírszerzési kudarc lehet az 1973-as jom kippuri háború óta.
Mint a Bloomberg írja, a támadás több tucat szárazföldi és tengeri műveletet, valamint rakétatámadást is tartalmazott. Ennek a támadásnak a megtervezése mélyreható szervezést és koordinációt igényel, amit az izraeli titkosszolgálatok sem tudtak figyelmen kívül hagyni.

A hírt a hadsereg szóvivője közölte. A hadsereg visszaszerezte az irányítást a gázai határ menti közösségek többsége felett, ahová a Hamász és az Iszlám Dzsihád harcosai beszivárogtak.
A listán szerepel Sderot, Sofa, Kerem Shalom, Nirim, Naziv Hathara, Nir Oz, Nahal Oz előőrs, Hulit, Nir Am, Nir Yitzhak, Be’er Sheva, Sde Jemen, Magen és Urim.

🛑BREAKING: In a self-defense act to remove Hezbollah’s threat, the IDF is striking targets in south Lebanon, from which the Iranian-backed Lebanese terror organization was planning to launch their attacks on Israeli civilians.
Ataque inédito: Israel logró hackear los dispositivos de comunicación de los militantes del Hezbollah y los hizo estallar. Se reportan más de 100 heridos solamente en la capital Beirut.
Izrael több mint 500 célpontra mért csapást az éjszaka folyamán a Gázai övezetben – közölte az izraeli hadsereg hétfő reggel.
Az izraeli katonaság szóvivője tudatta, hogy az övezet közelében még 7-8 helyen folynak harcok, négy hadosztályt vezényeltek az ország déli részébe, és a tervezettnél tovább tart a biztonság helyreállítása. Beszámolt arról is, hogy a Hamász iszlamista fegyveresei közül páran továbbra is képesek bejutni Izraelbe.
A közszolgálati rádió híradása szerint hétfő reggelig nem sikerült elzárni a határkerítésen található réseket, s ezeken a nyílásokon folyamatosan utánpótláshoz jutnak az izraeli területen harcoló iszlamisták.
Emellett támadó alagutat fedeztek fel Kfar Aza és Beri kibuc területén, ahol szintén beszivároghattak az izraeli civileket lemészároló és az övezetbe elhurcoló terroristák.
A hadsereg egységei a katonai szóvivő szerint több száz gázai célpontot támadtak, másfél óránként indítják a fokozatosan egyre erősebb légitámadásokat a Hamász Gázai övezetben található célpontjai ellen.
Az izraeli haditengerészet is folyamatosan lő a tenger felől izraeli területre tartó fegyveres csoportokra. Ők elfogták Ali Ralit, a Hamász tengeri egységének vezetőjét.
A rádió jelentése szerint szombat reggel egyidőben nyolcvan helyen törte át a határt a térfigyelő rendszer felrobbantása után mintegy 800–1000 palesztin fegyveres. A hadsereg reggeli közleménye szerint a leghevesebb harcok Beri kibucban zajlanak, ahol hetven terrorista hatolt be a településre, akik túszokkal elbarikádozták magukat.
Emellett összecsapások zajlanak Nirim kibucban, Nahal Óz, Nir Óz kibucban, ahol házanként haladtak a terroristák, feldúlták és felgyújtották az épületeket, s megölték és elhurcolták az ott élőket.
Tűzharc dúl az izraeli kommandósokkal Alumim, Gevim, Holit és Kfar Aza kibucban. A lakosság egy részét már kimenekítették, többeket tűzharc közepette, de vannak helyek, ahol az állandó tűzharc miatt még mindig a bunkerszobákban vannak bezárkózva szombat reggel óta.
A hadsereg célja a háború harmadik napján a Gázai övezet határkerítésének teljes helyreállítása, hogy ne érkezhessenek a terroristák utánpótlását biztosító egységek, valamint az izraeli területen lévő fegyveres csoportok felszámolása.

A támadás megindítása előtt Benjamin Netanjahu izraeli miniszterelnök felszólította a Gázai-övezetben élőket, hogy azonnal hagyják el a területet vagy vonuljanak óvóhelyekre. Televíziós beszédében Gázát a Gonosz városának nevezte, és azt mondta rommá változtatnak minden helyet, ahol a Hamász rejtőzködik.
Rakétacsapás ért egy kórházat
Hajnalban közben folytatódtak a Hamász támadásai, Tel-Avivot és más városokat ismét súlyos rakétatámadás érte. Askelónt is lőtték, ahol egy kórházat is találat ért.
„Rakéta csapódott a kórházunkba, jelenleg próbáljuk felmérni a károkat. Nagyon nehéz napunk volt és még nehezebb éjszakánk” – mondta a kórház egyik dolgozója.
A Hezbollah is közbeavatkozott
Izraelt közben Libanon területéről is támadás érte, egyes források szerint a libanoni Hezbollah terrorszervezet a lötte a Dov-hegység területét. Nemrég az izraeli hadsereg viszonozta a tüzet.
Korábban Izrael arra figyelmeztette a siíta iszlamista szervezetet, hogy ne avatkozzon bele a kirobbant konfliktusba. A Hezbollahot Libanonban – ugyanúgy mint a Hamaszt a Gázai övezetben – Irán irányítja és pénzeli.
A Vaskupola ezúttal nem mentette meg Izraelt
A súlyos fegyveres konfliktus szombaton hajnalban kezdődött, amikor Izraelt váratlanul nagyarányú rakétatámadás érte. A Hamász terrorszervezet több ezer rakétát lőtt ki a Gázai övezetből.
Ezzel egyidőben palesztin fegyveresek lépték át Izrael határát, a kerítésrendszert több ponton is átszakították.
A csapatok több tucat zsidó települést foglaltak el, sok civilt túszul ejtettek. Az internetet olyan felvételek árasztották el, amelyeken nőket, gyerekeket rabolnak el és Gázába viszik őket. A Hamász bejelentette, hogy az elhurcolt túszokat az övezet alatt kiépített alagútrendszerébe vitte. Szakértők szerint valószínűleg kórházakban és iskolák alatti betonbunkerekben rejtik el őket, hogy az izraeli katonáknak nehezebb dolguk legyen a kiszabadításukkal.
Előzőleg a Gázai övezetet uraló Hamász iszlamista szervezet katonai vezetője általános felkelést hirdetett. Felszólított minden palesztint, ragadjon fegyvert és induljon meg Izrael felé.
„A Hamász rajtaütésszerű, gyilkos támadást indított ellenünk. Összehívtam a belügyi szervek vezetőit és elrendeltem a megtámadott települések kiürítését, majd ezzel egyidejűleg a tartalékosok átfogó mobilizációját és az ellentámadás megindítását is” – mondta Benjámin Netanjahu izraeli miniszterelnök.
Az izraeli hadsereg nem sokkal később átfogó hadműveletekbe kezdett a zsidó állam határainál. A Gázai övezetben a Hamász több katonai támaszpontját is megsemmisítették.
Izrael több városában utcai harcok alakultak ki, ahol a terroristák házakban barrikádozák el magukat és ott ejtettek túszokat. A hadsereg hajnalban Szderótban visszafoglalt egy rendőrállomást, amit előzőlek a palesztinok elfoglaltak.
Közben Jaír Lapid, az izraeli parlamenti ellenzék vezetője felajánlotta a miniszterelnöknek, hogy a harcok végéig alakítsanak egy vészhelyzeti szakértői kormányt.
Izraelben a vasúti személyszállítást ideiglenesen felfüggesztették, mert a vonatok a több tízezer mozgósított tartalékost és a szükséges katonai felszerelést szállítják az ország déli részébe, illetve a Hezbollah libanoni síita szervezet támadásától tartva az északi határhoz.
Szombatra és vasárnapra a tel-avivi repülőtéren több tucat nemzetközi járatot töröltek.

A legfrissebb hírek szerint a Gázát uraló Hamász terrorszervezet több tucat fegyverese egy meglepetésszerű támadás során behatolt Izrael területére.
A mentőszolgálatok közlése szerint egy ember meghalt, tizenöten pedig megsérültek.
Szombat reggel arról szóltak a hírek, hogy több tucat rakétát indítottak a Gázai övezetből Izrael felé, országszerte légiriadót okozva. A Gáza környéki településeken és Tel Aviv közelében robbanásokról számoltak be.
A támadást a Hamász vállalta magára, állítása szerint 20 perc alatt 5000 rakétát lőtt ki. Az Izraeli Védelmi Erők (IDF) arról számolt be, hogy a csoport „tömeges rakétalövöldözésbe kezdett a Gázai övezetből Izrael területére”, és a fegyveresek „különböző helyeken” léptek be Izraelbe.
A tájékoztatás szerint „helyzetértékelést” végeznek, és a Hamásznak szembe kell néznie a történtek következményeivel.
Izrael a támadásra válaszul hadiállapotot hirdetett.
A Gáza környéki települések lakóit arra kérték, maradjanak otthonaikban, míg a déli és középső területeken a civileket sürgették, hogy tartózkodjanak az óvóhelyek közelében.
Benjámin Netanjahu izraeli miniszterelnök hivatala közölte, hogy rendkívüli biztonsági tanácskozást hívtak össze.

A szombati munkaszüneti nap, és sátoros ünnep ellenére a hadsereg szóvivője felszólította a vallásosokat, hogy kapcsolják be rádiójukat, tévéjüket, hogy értesüljenek a biztonságiak esetleges felhívásairól. Ugyanakkor a vezetékek megsérülése miatt számos helyen megszűnt az áramszolgáltatás, és a folyamatos rakétatámadás következtében jelenleg nem tudják helyreállítani a szolgáltatást.
Kibi Sabtáj rendőrfőkapitány az állami és biztonsági vezetők közül elsőként szólalt meg az izraeli közszolgálati televízióban, és bejelentette, hogy gyakorlatilag háborús helyzet van Izraelben, és egyelőre nem sikerült úrrá lenni a behatolt Hamász-egységeken.
