A Földközi-tenger felől az izraeli hadsereg által kilőtt rakéták a szíriai Tartus tartomány déli részén csapódtak be. Legalább két civil megsérült és anyagi kár is keletkezett.
A SANA szíriai állami hírügynökség az MTI szerint két rakétatámadásról számolt be, amit az izraeli hadsereg a Földközi-tenger felől indított, és amelyben eddig két sérültről adtak hírt Tartus tartományból.
Korábban, június 10-én az izraeli légierő a damaszkuszi repülőteret lőtte. A támadás megrongált két kifutópályát, megszűnt a navigációs világítás, találat érte az irányítótornyot, és károk keletkeztek az egyik terminálépületben. Ezután a szíriai hatóságok kénytelenek voltak ideiglenesen bezárni a repülőteret.
Izrael az elmúlt években már több száz hasonló légicsapást hajtott Szíriában a kormányerők és az Irán támogatását élvező síita szövetségeseik hadállásai ellen, ám az izraeli hadsereg rendszerint nem kommentálja az ezekről szóló híradásokat.

Az éjjeli razzia célja az izraeli hadsereg jelentése szerint illegális fegyverek lefoglalása volt. Két épületet akartak átkutatni, s mikor az első épületben végeztek, és a második ház felé tartottak, a palesztinok tüzet nyitottak rájuk az út szélén álló járműből.
A katonák viszonozták a lövéseket, miközben más irányból is hevesen tűz alá kerültek, és robbanóanyagot dobtak rájuk. Az izraeli kommandósok agyonlőtték a járműből rájuk tüzelőket, majd átvizsgálták az autót, ahol két gépkarabélyt, egy géppisztolyt, lőszereket és golyóálló mellényt találtak.
A palesztinok nyilvánosságra hoztak helyszíni felvételeket, melyeken heves tűzharcok hallatszanak. Az összecsapásokban nyolc további palesztin is megsebesült a palesztin egészségügyi minisztérium jelentése szerint.
Az izraeli hadsereg szinte naponta hajt végre rajtaütéseket az 1967-ben Jordániától elfoglalt Ciszjordániában, miután februárban tizenkilenc emberéletet követelő terrorhullám kezdődött izraeliek ellen. A razziákon letartóztatják a terrortevékenységgel gyanúsítottakat. Dzsenínben több alkalommal is lecsaptak, mert több támadás is onnan indult.

Izrael elismerte az amerikai kormánynak, hogy az izraeli hadsereg felelős Szajjád Hodaji iráni ezredes haláláért, aki az iráni Forradalmi Gárda külső műveletekért felelős titkos katonai elit egységének, az al-Kudsznak volt a tagja – jelentette a The New York Times (NYT) szerda este.
A baloldali-liberális amerikai napilap online cikke az iráni állami hírügynökségre hivatkozva azt írta: Szajjád Hodajit vasárnap ölte meg két motoros, akik a Teherán keleti részén álló lakása előtt öt lövést adtak le a gépkocsijában ülő 50 éves ezredesre.
Izraeli kormányzati, katonai és hírszerzési tisztségviselők szerint Szajjád Hodaji volt annak a 840-es egységnek nevezett titkos katonai alakulatnak a helyettes vezetője, amelynek izraeli kormánytisztviselők és civilek, illetve más külföldi állampolgárok elrablása és meggyilkolása volt a feladata a világ bármely pontján.
Teherán sosem ismerte el a halálbrigád létezését sem – tette hozzá a napilap.
A NYT kiemelte: az izraeli miniszterelnök szóvivője ugyan nem kommentálta a gyilkossággal kapcsolatos kérdéseket, de az ezzel kapcsolatos izraeli-amerikai információcserét és kommunikációt jól ismerő hírszerzési tisztviselő szerint Izrael arról tájékoztatta az amerikai tisztségviselőket, hogy Izrael áll a merénylet mögött.
Az amerikai napilap cikke szerint Irán azonnal Izraelt vádolta meg a gyilkossággal, amely az írás szerint az iráni célpontok ellen végrehajtott izraeli célzott kivégzések tipikus jegyeit viselte magán. Ezek a célzott kivégzések mind részei annak a titkos, háttérben folyó háborúnak, amelyet földön, vízen, levegőben és a kibertérben folytatnak egymás ellen a felek – fogalmazott a NYT.
„Gondunk lesz rá, hogy az ellenség megbánja, amit tett, és az ellenség ördögi lépései nem maradnak majd válasz nélkül” – jelentette ki hétfői beszédében Hosszein Szalami tábornok, a Forradalmi Gárda főparancsnoka. Az iráni állami hírügynökség szerint Madzsid Mirahmadi, az iráni nemzetbiztonsági tanács tagja pedig leszögezte: a merénylet minden kétséget kizáró módon Izrael akciója volt, és arra figyelmeztetett, hogy kőkemény bosszút állnak – tette hozzá az amerikai napilap.
Az Egyesült Államok még 2019-ben helyezte az iráni Forradalmi Gárdát a külföldi terrorszervezeteket tartalmazó listájára, amely döntés már többször megakasztotta a 2015-ös iráni nukleáris megállapodás felélesztésével kapcsolatos tárgyalásokat, mivel Teherán több ízben szabta feltételül, hogy Washington vegye le a Forradalmi Gárdát a terrorszervezetek listájáról – magyarázta a The New York Times cikke.

„A cionista rezsim hírszerzési szolgálatának útmutatása alatt működő hálózat banditák közreműködésével állami és magántulajdon ellopásával, illetve megsemmisítésével, valamint emberrablásokkal és koholt tanúvallomások megszerzésével próbálkozott” – ismertette a Forradalmi Gárda sajtószolgálata közleményében Izraelre utalva.
Az állami sajtó mindemellett beszámolt arról is, hogy a Forradalmi Gárda egyik ezredesét ismeretlen elkövetők agyonlőtték Teherán belvárosában lévő otthona előtt. A tájékoztatás szerint Hasszán Szajad Hodajarival öt lövés végzett az autójában.
A sajtóértesülések mindössze „a szentély védelmezőjeként” hivatkoztak az ezredesre, ami utalás azon iráni katonákra, akik Szíriában és Irakban harcoltak az Iszlám Állam szélsőségesei ellen a Forradalmi Gárda külföldi műveletekért felelős al-Kudsz nevű elitalakulatának soraiban. Egyelőre senki sem jelentkezett a merénylet elkövetőjeként.

Terrortámadás történt Izraelben, Beerseva városában – számolt be kedden az Euronews. A portál azt írja, hogy a támadó először egy negyvenéves nőt késelt halálra a város egyik benzinkútjánál, majd beszállt autójába és elgázolt egy kerékpárost. Később ismét kiszállt és több embert megkéselt a BIG bevásárlóközpontban.
A terroristával a cikk szerint egy felfegyverzett buszsofőr szállt szembe, aki arra próbálta rávenni, hogy tegye le a fegyvert. A támadó ehelyett a sofőrre rontott, aki egy másik felfegyverzett férfivel együtt rálőtt. A késelő a szemtanúk beszámolói szerint belehalt sérüléseibe.
A támadás további öt áldozatát kórházba szállították, azonban a kerékpáros és a késelés többi áldozata belehaltak sérüléseikbe.
A palesztin média nem sokkal az eset után azonosította az elkövetőt: mint írják, a támadó egy 34 éves férfi, aki egy beduin városból származó terrorista. A férfi korábban négy évet ült börtönben, mert azt tervezte, hogy az Iszlám Államhoz csatlakozik Szíriában, csupán 2019-ben szabadult. A hatóságok közlése szerint ez az ámokfutás volt a legsúlyosabb támadás izraeli civilek ellen 2016 júniusa óta, amikor két terrorista tüzelt egy tel-avivi piacon négy ember halálát okozva ezzel.

Szíriában két civil vesztette életét az izraeli légicsapásban. Ez volt az első azóta, hogy Oroszország megtámadta Ukrajnát – jelentette hétfőn a ynet, a Jediót Ahronót című újság hírportálja.
Szíriai katonai források szerint a hajnali 5 óra körül, déli irányból, Bejrút felől végrehajtott izraeli légicsapásokban életét vesztette Damaszkusz közelében két szíriai civil.
Szíriában működésbe helyezték a légvédelmi rendszert az izraeli rakéták ellen, amely jelentésük szerint befogta a lövedékek többségét. Anyagi károk is keletkeztek.
