Витік радіоактивної води з атомної електростанції Монтічелло, яка знаходиться за 56 км на північний захід від Міннеаполіса, у суботу вранці призвів до зупинки її роботи, повідомляє MTI. Це вже другий подібний інцидент на АЕС за останній час.
Компанія Xcel Energy, яка експлуатує атомну станцію, повідомила, що витік 400 000 галонів (1,5 мільйона літрів) води, яка містить тритій, був виявлений у листопаді минулого року. Тоді проблему тимчасово вирішили, але цього тижня сотні галонів тритієвої води витекли знову. Це призвело до рішення закрити станцію.
Кріс Кларк, президент Xcel Energy, заявив, що після того, як за кілька днів відбудеться необхідне охолодження, вони відріжуть трубу, яка протікає. Їй уже понад 50 років. За його словами, загрози постачанню питної води в Монтічелло та сусіднє місто Беккер немає, оскільки ці населені пункти отримують її з іншої ділянки річки Міссісіпі.

Радіоактивна вода витекла з труби між двома будівлями на атомній електростанції «Монтічелло», що за 56 км від Міннеаполіса. Наразі пошкодження ліквідовують, пише BBC.
Уперше проблема була виявлена наприкінці листопада, але державні органи повідомили про це громадськість лише минулого четверга. Компанія Xcel Energy, яка експлуатує станцію, заявила, що витік був «повністю локалізований на майданчику і не вийшов за його межі».
Вода містить тритій, який є поширеним побічним продуктом роботи атомних електростанцій.
Влада контролює процес очищення 1,5 мільйона літрів радіоактивної води, що витекла з АЕС у Міннесоті. Як заявляють чиновники штату, безпосереднього ризику для здоров’я населення або навколишнього середовища немає, і забруднення не досягло річки Міссісіпі.

Сьогодні під час ракетної атаки росії зафіксували прольоти двох ворожих ракет над Південноукраїнською АЕС.
Про це повідомили у НАЕК «Енергоатом» у Telegram.
«Росія вкотре здійснила акт ядерного тероризму. Сьогодні, 18 лютого 2023 року, під час чергової масованої ракетної атаки росії на Південноукраїнській АЕС о 8:25 та 8:27 зафіксовано прольоти двох ворожих крилатих ракет», – сказано в повідомленні.
Як зазначили в НАЕК, повітряні об’єкти рухалися руслом Південного Бугу в напрямку міста Первомайськ Миколаївської області і «пролетіли небезпечно близько до ядерного об’єкта».
«Загроза поцілити в реактор з можливими наслідками – ядерною катастрофою – знову була високою. Це черговий акт ядерного терроризму рф, що загрожує безпеці всього світу!», – зазначили в компанії.
В Енергоатомі вкотре звернулися до МАГАТЕ «з вимогою вжити всіх можливих заходів для припинення ядерного тероризму росії, виведення військових формувань рф з території Запорізької станції та встановлення демілітаризованої зони навколо неї, а також безпольотної – над усіма атомними об’єктами України».

«Сьогодні вночі, 19 грудня о 00:46, зафіксовано проліт дрона-камікадзе Shahed над майданчиком Південнооукраїнської АЕС поблизу ядерної установки. Це абсолютно неприпустиме порушення ядерної та радіаційної безпеки», – йдеться у повідомленні.
В Енергоатомі зазначили, що вони звернулися до МАГАТЕ та всієї світової атомної спільноти, інформуючи про факт прольоту ударного безпілотника над майданчиком атомної станції.
«Ще раз закликаємо не допустити, щоб ядерні об’єкти наражалися на ризик нападу з боку армії росії і несли загрозу ядерній та радіаційній безпеці України та світу», – наголошується в повідомленні.

На тимчасово окупованій Запорізькій АЕС росіяни готують серйозну провокацію.
Про це повідомило у Фейсбуці державне підприємство НАЕК “Енергоатом”, передає Укрінформ.
“Загарбники, які перебувають на ЗАЕС, збираються звинуватити українських атомників у зберіганні зброї на території станції. Задля цього затримали кількох працівників і тортурами вимагають у них зізнання, точніше – оговорення себе, що нібито ще в березні у бетонні чаші охолоджувальних басейнів на ЗАЕС вони скинули якусь зброю: чи то вибухівку, чи то снаряди”, – йдеться в повідомленні.
За інформацією НАЕК, під цим приводом окупанти наполягають на осушуванні охолоджувальних басейнів – для перевірки його чаш – та зупинці насосів, які подають воду на системи безпеки енергоблоків. Якщо це станеться, то системи безпеки найбільшої в Європі атомної станції залишаться без охолодження, що вже є серйозним порушенням та може загрожувати ядерній безпеці. До того ж, такі роботи недоцільно проводити у теплу пору року через ризик перегріву та відмови обладнання.
Але найголовнішим, застерігає енергетична компанія, залишається питання контролю дій окупантів, адже під виглядом «проведення перевірки» вони можуть накидати у бетонні чаші що завгодно: вибухівку, нерозірвані снаряди, іншу зброю. А потім звинуватити у цьому працівників ЗАЕС чи її захисників і зробити це формальним приводом для запрошення на станцію МАГАТЕ й представлення цих «фактів», та ще й картинку для пропагандистських росЗМІ зробити – як росіяни про безпеку станції піклуються, а український персонал її порушує.
Енергоатом наголошує, що будь-яка зброя, знайдена на території ЗАЕС, – це зброя окупантів, яку вони використовують для вчинення ядерного тероризму та погроз усьому світові новою страшною катастрофою.
Як повідомлялося, Запорізька АЕС із 4 березня тимчасово захоплена російськими військами. На майданчику ЗАЕС, окрім військових рф, тривалий час незаконно перебувають представники Росатому. Наразі на Запорізькій АЕС перебуває близько 500 російських солдатів, важка техніка, танки та вибухівка.
