А також попередило, що ця цифра, ймовірно, зросте, оскільки деякі регіони потерпають від значних повеней.
Директор Агентства з охорони навколишнього середовища, яке займається, зокрема, питаннями захисту від повеней, розповів BBC Breakfast, що в Англії випало багато дощів. У листопаді та грудні після штормів «Бабет» і «Кіаран» земля була неймовірно насичена водою по всій країні, особливо на сході.

14-річна українська дівчина загинула після того, як її знайшли без свідомості на пляжі в Південному Девоні в суботу, повідомила поліція.
Офіцери заявили, що їх викликали в суботу ввечері, щоб повідомити про дівчину -підлітка, яка пропала з району Дауліш у Девоні.
Пошуки проходили за підтримки поліцейського вертольота та берегової охорони, а на пляжі Дауліш знайшов непритомну людину.
Згодом українська дівчина була доставлена до Королівської лікарні Девона та Ексетера, де вона згодом померла.
Поліція заявила, що офіційна ідентифікація відбулася, і родина була поінформована.
Її смерть трактується як незрозуміла, і поліція закликає допомогти тих, хто має певну інформую.
Детективний інспектор Беккі Девіс, з поліції Девона та Корнуолла, заявила: „Дівчина була українкою за національністю, яка жила в районі Дауліш»..

За даними поліції, пожежу в 17-поверховому будинку в Бристолі спричинив електричний самокат.
Службу екстреної допомоги викликали в район Істон міста Бристоль на світанку в неділю. Пожежа виникла на останньому поверсі Twinnell House на Wills Drive.
Імовірно, чоловік загинув, намагаючись врятуватися від вогню через вікно, з якого, на жаль, випав.
Внаслідок пожежі постраждало вісім осіб, яких доставили до лікарні. Один із них отримав серйозні опіки, повідомляє Sky News.
Із 17-поверхового будинку евакуювали близько 90 мешканців, пункт тимчасового перебування облаштували в церкві неподалік.
До гасіння пожежі залучили 11 вогнеборців.
