Az olasz monopóliumellenes bizottság 10 millió euróra (12 millió dollárra) bírságolta meg az Apple-t – írja a Reuters.
A hír szerint a cég úgy reklámozta készülékeit, hogy azok vízállók, azonban nem közölte, hogy ez a tulajdonságuk csak bizonyos esetekben áll fenn, s a garancia nem érvényes abban az esetben, ha folyadék kerül a készülékbe. Az átvert kliensek így nem élhettek az ingyenes javíttatás lehetőségével.

Bitcoinos csalók élnek vissza Steve Wozniak nevével.
A Bloomberg beszámolója alapján Steve Wozniak saját maga és tizenhét további közismert személy nevében pert indított a YouTube ellen. Az Apple társalapítója azt kifogásolja, hogy rendre a felperesek nevével és megjelenésével visszaélő, bitcoinos csalásokat elkövető videók jelennek meg a portálon, ám semmi sem történik, hiába lesznek azok jelentve.
A YouTube alapértelmezett reakciója az efféle vádakra, hogy nem felelős a felhasználók által feltöltött tartalmakért. Wozniak ügyvédeinek jogértelmezése szerint ez onnantól kezdve nem igaz, hogy bejelentésre kerülnek a csalók videói. Pozitív példaként a Twittert hozták fel, amely egy napon belül reagálni szokott Steve Wozniak bejelentéseire, és törli a csalók tweetjeit.
További érdekesség, hogy Steve Wozniak is érintett volt a múlt heti Twitter-hackelésben, az ő fiókját is felhasználták mások megkárosítására.
A Twitter és a YouTube bitcoinos csalásai azonosak, a bűnözők arra kérik a potenciális áldozatokat, hogy küldjenek egy bizonyos mennyiségű BitCoint a megadott címre, majd a dupláját kapják vissza. Persze egy fityinget sem küldenek ezután a csalók.
Wozniak köteleztetni kívánja a YouTube-ot a csaló videók azonnali törlésére, a nézők csalásokról való tájékoztatására, továbbá kártérítési és büntető jellegű pénzbírságok megítélését is kéri.
