Közel 1,3 tonna, legalább 95 millió euró értékű kokaint foglaltak le a hollandiai Vlissingen kikötőjében, a drogszállítmányt egy Ecuadorból érkezett hajó banánrakománya közé rejtve találták – közölte a Dutch News című angol nyelvű holland hírportál csütörtökön.
A beszámoló szerint egy rutinellenőrzés vezetett a banánokkal teli konténerekbe rejtett kábítószer megtalálásához.
A banánt egy vlissingeni élelmiszeripari cégnek szánták. A rendőrség ugyanakkor kizárta, hogy a vállalatnak köze lett volna a drogszállítmányhoz.
Az elkobzott kábítószert megsemmisítették.
A most talált kábítószer lefoglalását több drogszállítmány elkobzása is megelőzte idén.
A rotterdami nemzetközi kikötőben szintén banánok közé rejtve csaknem nyolc tonna kokaint foglaltak le novemberben, a szállítmány értéke meghaladta a 200 millió eurót.
A művelet négy ember előállításához vezetett.
Júliusban Costa-Ricából származó banánok között 1298 kilogramm kokaint találtak Rotterdamban, ugyanekkor Vlissingen kikötőjében körülbelül 130 kiló kokaint foglaltak le egy curacaói mészkővel megrakott konténerben.
A vlissingeni vámhatóság októberben 254 kilogramm, több mint 26,5 millió euró értékű kokaint fedezett fel a helyi kikötőben. A drogszállítmány egy ecuadori banánszállítmányban volt elrejtve.
Júliusban a hollandiai Zwolle bírósága hét gyanúsított ellen emelt vádat, amiért összesen 9000 kilogramm kokaint csempésztek Európába Vlissingen kikötőjén keresztül – közölték.
Az Euractiv című angol nyelvű brüsszeli hírportál friss cikkében közölte, a rotterdami kikötőben tavaly rekordnak számító, közel 70 tonna kábítószert foglaltak le, 74 százalékkal többet, mint az előző évben.

Az ecuadori rendőrség mintegy 2,5 tonna kokainra bukkant egy Európába tartó konténerben elrejtve – közölte vasárnap az ország belügyminisztériuma.
A tájékoztatás szerint a 2458 kilogramm kábítószert egy banánnal megrakott konténer ellenőrzése során fedezték fel a csendes-óceáni partvidéken fekvő Guayaquil kikötőjében. A szállítmány rendeltetési helye Belgium volt.
Egy személyt letartóztattak – tette hozzá a tárca.
Ecuador szomszédját, Kolumbiát tekintik a kokain fő származási országának, megelőzve Perut és Bolíviát, ahol szintén termesztik a kokacserjét. Nagy részét az Egyesült Államokba és Európába csempészik.
Erősen megnőtt a lefoglalt drog mennyisége Antwerpenben 2013 óta. A belga nyomozók 2020-ban 65 tonna kokaint foglaltak le, míg egy évvel korábban 61,8 tonna kokaint.
Antwerpen Európa egyik legnagyobb kikötője, amelyen keresztül a kontinens számos országába csempésznek kábítószert. Tavaly október végén például 11,5 tonna – Hollandiába szánt – kokaint találtak egy Guyanából származó konténerben.
A kábítószercsempészek elleni küzdelem jegyében a belga vámhatóság a következő években minden olyan konténert át akar világítani, amely Kolumbiából, Brazíliából vagy Ecuadorból érkezik.
