 A jelentés szerint a felfüggesztett bíró kenőpénzt fogadott el egy felperestől egy adminisztratív ügyben számára kedvező döntés meghozataláért. A korrupciós juttatást két részletben vette át: a határozat meghozatala előtt 7 ezer dollárt kapott, utána 13 ezret vágott zsebre. A korrupcióellenes ügyészség nyomozói akkor kapták el, amikor 2021. november 9-én átvette a baksis második részletét.
 Mint hírportálunk a múlt héten beszámolt róla, Ukrajnában októberben a nyugalmazott bírák nyugdíjának az átlagösszege 91,2 ezer hrivnyát tett ki, miután az év eleje óta 23 ezer hrivnyával emelték, miközben az egyszerű ukránok nyugellátmánya csak átlagosan mindössze 400 hrivnyával emelkedett.

 A jelentés szerint a nyomozás megállapította, hogy a Munkácsi Városi-Járási Bíróság bírája a nyugdíjalap jogi osztályvezetőjének a közvetítésével 2017. szeptember 11-én 2 ezer hrivnyát kapott egy állampolgártól a járási állami adminisztráció ellen benyújtott adminisztratív kereset ügyében hozott határozatáért.
 A VAKSZ a korrupt bírót 7 év letöltendő szabadságvesztésre és teljes vagyonelkobzásra, halmazati büntetésként, pedig állami tisztség betöltésétől 3 évre történő eltiltásra ítélte. Bűntársára, a nyugdíjalap jogi osztályának volt vezetőjére 6 év letöltendő szabadságvesztést szabott ki a taláros testület vagyona felének az elkobzásával.
 A VAKSZ ítélete kihirdetésének pillanatától számított 30 napon belül megfellebezhető.

 A helyzetet súlyosbította Rodrigo Duterte 2016-ban hivatalba lépő köztársasági elnök, aki a rendőrség részére engedélyezte a drogkereskedők lelövését a kábítószer-ellenes kampánya részeként. Eddigi hivatali ideje alatt legalább 1000 drogkereskedőt lőttek le.
