На Філіппінах в четвер, 6 лютого, розбився літак, який належить американським військовим, внаслідок чого загинули всі чотири особи, які перебували на борту. Про це повідомляє АР.
Зазначається, що посольство США і філіппінські офіційні особи повідомили, що літак розбився на рисовому полі на півдні Філіппін. Літак був зафрахтований американськими військовими, повідомила прессекретар посольства США Канішка Гангопадхьяй, додавши, що Індо-Тихоокеанське командування Збройних сил США пізніше зробить детальнішу заяву щодо авіакатастрофи.
Управління цивільної авіації Філіппін підтвердило катастрофу легкомоторного літака в провінції Магінданао-дель-Сур.
З-під уламків літака в місті Ампатуан було вилучено тіла чотирьох людей, які, скоріш за все, були іноземними громадянами, повідомив співробітник служби безпеки Амір Джехад Тім Амболодто.

Тайфун, що обрушився на філіппінську провінцію Кагаян у четвер, затопив села, поваливши дерева, електроопори і пошкодивши будинки, повідомила місцева влада, додавши, що понад 40 000 людей були евакуйовані із постраждалих сіл у безпечніші регіони провінції.
За словами губернатора Марілу Кайко, на Батанесі, найпівнічнішому острові країни, «Цзіньсін» зірвав дахи будинків, пошкодив гавані і два внутрішні аеропорти. Також повідомлялося про зсуви ґрунту в двох північних містах у горах.

Тропічний шторм «Трамі» спричинив масштабну катастрофу на Філіппінах, кількість загиблих напередодні зросла до 26 осіб, повідомляє місцева влада.
У північній провінції Ізабела у четвер уранці шторм, який прибув зі швидкістю вітру 160 кілометрів на годину, забрав семеро життів, ще семеро людей вважаються зниклими безвісти.
Ще під час наближення шторм викликав повені, довелося евакуювати десятки тисяч місцевих жителів. Станом на середу кількість жертв становила вже 14. Школи закриті, офісна робота також була обмежена до мінімуму в постраждалому регіоні. Стихія торкнулася близько мільйона людей.
Влада заявила, що кількість жертв, імовірно, буде зростати, оскільки повінь повністю ізолювала кілька населених пунктів, зробила непроїзними дороги, що значно ускладнило рятувальні операції. До надання допомоги населенню залучили і військових.

Внаслідок потужного тропічного шторму Ягі на Філіппінах загинули щонайменше 13 людей. Четверо вважаються зниклими безвістичерез викликані рясними зливами зсуви ґрунту та раптові повені. Про це повідомляє Reuters.
За даними метеорологів, 2 вересня шторм, який сформувався у Філіппінському морі, вийшов на сушу на півночі провінції Аурора біля міста Касігуран із населенням понад 27 тисяч жителів. Через сильний вітер і дощ місто було знеструмлено.
До ранку 3 вересня шторм перетнув острів Лусон, а його центр знаходився у прибережних водах біля північного міста Лаоаг у провінції Ілокос.
Середня швидкість вітру становить 75 км/год, а сам шторм рухається у північно-західному напрямку над Південнокитайським морем.

Інфікований 33-річний філіппінець, який не виїжджав за межі країни, але чотири тижні тому міг контактувати з інфікованою особою.
Симптоми в пацієнта почали з’являтися понад тиждень тому – спочатку лихоманка, а через чотири дні з’явилася висипка на обличчі, спині та інших частинах тіла. Його доправили до лікарні, де діагностували зараження вірусом mpox.

Тайфун «Гемі» призвів до смерті 16 людей на Філіппінах, повідомила місцева влада.
Через сильні дощі й повені закрилися всі відомства та навчальні заклади в столиці, Манілі. На місцевій фондовій біржі навіть призупинили торги.
Як повідомила метеорологічна служба Філіппін, тайфун посилив південно-західний мусон, який триває з 11 липня.
За даними влади, серед жертв негоди були, зокрема, вагітна жінка та її 9-річна донька. Вони загинули через зсув, який стався на південь від Маніли.
Десятки тисяч людей залишилися без даху над головою.
Напередодні вночі тайфун досяг східної частини Тайваню, де також уже є двоє загиблих і кілька травмованих. На острові призупинили залізничний рух, скасували авіарейси та навчання в школах.

Танкер під філіппінським прапором, який перевозив 1,4 мільйона літрів нафти, у четвер затонув біля узбережжя Маніли, повідомила влада. Наразі ведуться пошуки зниклого члена екіпажу та робота із запобігання розливу нафти.
Суховантаж Terra Nova, який прямував до центрального філіппінського міста Ілоіло, рано-вранці в четвер перекинувся й затонув приблизно за сім кілометрів від столиці Філіппін у Манільській затоці.
«Ми змагаємося з часом і робимо все можливе, щоб негайно локалізувати й зупинити витік палива», – заявив на пресконференції контр-адмірал Армандо Баліло, речник берегової охорони Філіппін.
На жвавій судноплавній трасі було помічено нафтову пляму завдовжки близько 3,7 км, яка дрейфує зі сходу на північний схід під дією сильної течії. За оцінками коментатора, якщо з танкера витече все паливо, це буде найбільший розлив нафти в історії Філіппін.
Чотирьом членам екіпажу було надано медичну допомогу.
У зв’язку з інцидентом почалося розслідування, щоб визначити, чи стали причиною аварії судна погодні умови в навколишніх водах. Адже останніми днями регіон потерпає від проливних дощів, пов’язаних з тайфуном «Гаемі» та сезонним мусоном.
Рік тому в лютому філіппінський танкер, який перевозив 800 тисяч літрів мазуту, затонув біля острова Міндоро, на південь від столиці. Частина вантажу розлилася, забруднивши води й пляжі на узбережжі провінції та завдавши серйозної шкоди рибальству і туризму. Нафта поширилася на сотні кілометрів у водах, які є домом для різноманітних морських мешканців.
Крім того, 18 років тому біля центрального острова Гімарас затонув нафтовий танкер, з якого також вилились десятки тисяч літрів нафти. Аварія знищила морський заповідник та спустошила місцеві рибальські угіддя, частина узбережжя вкрилася чорним намулом.

Шторм Евіньяр у понеділок приніс сильний вітер і зливи на південь Філіппін. Через це були закриті аеропорти та морські порти, а також порушено електропостачання.
У вівторок шторм перемістився до східного узбережжя Японії, швидкість вітру сягала 130 кілометрів на годину з поривами до 160 кілометрів на годину.
В південній східній провінції Філіппін Місаміс підтверджено загибель 14-річної дівчинки. Причиною стало дерево, що впало на припаркований автомобіль, в який вона сідала. Ще один школяр отримав поранення, йдеться у повідомленні Національного агентства з надзвичайних ситуацій.
У провінції Кесон, на схід від столиці, загинуло шестеро людей, повідомила радіостанції DWPM майор поліції Елізабет Капістрано. Серед загиблих – двоє чоловіків у віці 56 і 22 років, які потонули, і 39-річний чоловік, на якого впало дерево.
Маркос заявив, що шторм зачепив майже 27 тисяч людей і порушив роботу трьох аеропортів і дев’яти морських портів на вихідних.
Евіньяр став першим тропічним штормом, що обрушився на Філіппіни цього року. Щорічно на цю країну в Південно-Східній Азії обрушується в середньому 20 штормів, які часто призводять до злив, сильних вітрів і смертоносних зсувів ґрунту.
