Ukrajna húsvétkor újabb fogolycserét hajtott végre, aminek köszönhetően 130 katona szabadult ki az orosz fogságból – jelentette be vasárnap Andrij Jermak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetője Telegram-csatornáján, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
Jermak közlése szerint a hazatértek katonák, határőrök, nemzeti gárdisták, tengerészek, az Állami Különleges Közlekedési Szolgálat munkatársai. A csere az elmúlt napokban több szakaszban zajlott – tette hozzá. „Közlegényekről és őrmesterekről van szó, akiket Bahmut, Szoledar, Zaporizzsja és Herszon térségében ejtettek foglyul” – tette hozzá.
A hadifoglyok kezelését koordináló törzs jelezte, hogy az ukrán fegyveres erők 92 katonája, 20 területvédelmis, 11 nemzeti gárdista, három határőr, a haditengerészet és az Állami Különleges Közlekedési Szolgálat két-két tagja tért haza. A kicserélt katonák közül 48-at eltűntnek tekintettek. A hazatértek egy része megsérült, számosan zúzódást és végtagveszteséget szenvedtek. „Két testvért is kiengedtek a fogságból, akik Bahmut környékén harcoltak. A kiszabadult védők közül a legidősebb már betöltötte az 58. életévét, a legfiatalabb pedig 21 éves” – áll a közleményben.

Április 10-én, hétfőn fogolycsere keretében száz ukrán hadifogoly térhetett haza, köztük Mariupol és Gosztomel védői − közölte az ukrán Unian hírügynökség szerint Andrij Jermak, az elnöki hivatal vezetője.
Sikerült újabb nagyszabású fogolycserét végrehajtanunk. Hazatér száz emberünk − katonák, tengerészek, határőrök, nemzeti gárdisták. Köztük vannak Mariupol, az Azovsztal, Gosztomel védelmezői. Az amerikai haditengerészet veteránját szabadon engedték, miután közel egy évig orosz fogságban volt. A 35 éves, michigani Taylor Dudley-t tavaly áprilisban vette őrizetbe az orosz határőrség, miután Lengyelországból átlépte a határt a Lengyelország és Litvánia közötti orosz exklávéba, Kalinyingrádba.
Taylor Dudley hátizsákos túrán volt Európában, amikor átlépte a lengyel–orosz határt. Csütörtökön engedték szabadon hónapokig tartó tárgyalások után, és fogva tartását a mai napig nem hozták széles körben nyilvánosságra, mert a családja azt akarta, hogy a szabadon bocsátásáról folytatott tárgyalások bizalmasak maradjanak.

Megtörtént az új esztendő első fogolycseréje Oroszország és Ukrajna között.
Andrij Jermak ukrán elnöki tanácsadó megerősítette az 50 ukrán katonát érintő fogolycserét. A kijevi védelmi minisztérium arról számolt be, hogy 33 tisztet és 17 sorkatonát szabadítottak ki, akik többek között a csernobili atomerőműnél, illetve Mariupol ostrománál estek hadifogságba.

Az USA és Oroszország elcserélte a februárban bebörtönzött amerikai kosárlabdasztárt, Brittney Grinert a hírhedt fegyverkereskedő Viktor Butra, akit 12 éve tartanak fogva egy amerikai börtönben – számolt be a Telex a BBC-re hivatkozva.
Grinert február 17-én, egy héttel az orosz–ukrán háború kitörése előtt tartóztatták le a Moszkva melletti seremetyjevói nemzetközi repülőtéren, miután hasisolajat tartalmazó, elektromos cigarettához való patronokat találtak a poggyászában. Griner a WNBA mellett – sok női kosárlabdázóhoz hasonlóan – Amerikán kívül is játszott, ő például az orosz Jekatyerinburg csapatában, ismert figurának számított tehát Oroszországban.
A fogolycserét nyáron kezdeményezte az Egyesült Államok, a fegyvercsempészetért 2012-ben 25 évre elítélt Viktor Butot ajánlotta fel Oroszországnak Grinerért cserébe.
A tárgyalás hónapokon keresztül folyt, Joe Biden amerikai elnök a napokban hagyta jóvá a cserét, amit az Abu Dzabi repülőterén bonyolították le.
Viktor Butot az egyik legjelentősebb illegális fegyverkereskedő volt a ’90-es években és a kétezres évek elején. Az ENSZ és az Egyesült Államok 2005-ben kezdeményezte a Buthoz köthető cégek számláinak zárolását. 2008-ban őrizetbe vették a thaiföldi hatóságok, majd szűk két év után végül kiadták az Egyesült Államoknak. Oroszország tiltakozott, előzetesen kérte is állampolgára kiadatását, ez azonban nem valósult meg. 2010 novemberében zárult le a kiadatás, 2012-ben pedig 25 év börtönre ítélték Butot, többek között fegyvercsempészet vádjával. Az elmúlt 12 évet börtönben töltötte.
But nagy halnak számít a fegyvercsempészet területén, ennél nagyobb cserét az oroszok és az amerikaiak nem hajtottak végre azóta, hogy Oroszország 2014-ben annektálta Ukrajnától a Krímet.

„Minden ukránt hazahozunk” – szögezte le üzenetében Jermak. Tájékoztatása szerint a kiszabadultak között „katonák és őrmesterek vannak, akik harccal védték” az ukrán államot. Arra nem tért ki, hogy cserébe hány orosz katonát adtak át Moszkvának.
Utoljára november 3-án hajtott végre nagyszabású fogolycserét az ukrán és az orosz fél: akkor 107 ukrán katona szabadult ki orosz fogságból.
Az ukrán vezérkar pénteki jelentése szerint az elmúlt napon mintegy 710 orosz katona halt meg Ukrajnában. Velük együtt a vezérkar szerint az orosz hadsereg már csaknem 80 ezer katonát veszített.
A kijevi katonai vezetés összesítése szerint az orosz erők Ukrajnában eddig egyebek mellett 278 repülőgépet, 261 helikoptert, 2814 harckocsit, 5696 páncélozott harcjárművet és 1817 tüzérségi rendszert veszítettek.

A szabadon bocsátott amerikaiak között van a Citgo olajipari vállalat öt alkalmazottja, akiket csaknem öt évig tartottak fogva Venezuelában. 2017-ben Caracasban egy üzleti találkozón vettek részt, ahonnan maszkos biztonsági ügynökök hurcolták el őket, majd több évig tartó börtönbüntetést szabtak ki rájuk.
Szabadon engedték továbbá Matthew Heath volt amerikai tengerészgyalogost, akit 2020-ban vettek őrizetbe kémkedés gyanújával, illetve elengedtek még egy floridai férfit, aki január óta volt venezuelai őrizetben tiltott határátlépés miatt.
Washington cserébe Maduro elnök feleségének két unokaöccsét engedte szabadon. A két férfit Haitin fogták el 2015-ben és a következő évben egy New York-i bíróság el is ítélte őket kábítószercsempészet vádjával.
Még legalább négy olyan amerikai állampolgárról tudni, akiket Venezuelában tartanak fogva.
A dél-amerikai ország legutóbb márciusban engedett szabadon egy amerikait, a Citgo vállalat egy másik vezetőjét.
