A orosz megszálló csapatok március 11-én este tüzérségi támadást indítottak a Donyeck megyében található Rivne település ellen. Két gyermek életét vesztette.

A támadás áldozatai két fiútestvér, 11 és 13 évesek. Emellett egy 14 éves fiú is megsebesült, ő súlyos állapotban van.
Ez önmagában is szörnyű hír, de még borzalmasabb, hogy mindhárom gyermeket tavaly augusztus-szeptemberben evakuáltuk Dnyipropetrovszk megyébe. Nyilvánvaló, hogy a döntést nem ők hozták meg, de a döntésükért a legszörnyűbb árat fizették

Az UNICEF legfrissebb jelentése szerint 2024-ben az ukrajnai háborúban elhunyt gyermekek száma 50 százalékkal emelkedett az előző évhez képest. A konfliktus harmadik éve eddig a legsúlyosabb következményekkel jár: már 2520 gyermek halt meg vagy sérült meg, miközben milliók kényszerültek otthonaik elhagyására és küzdenek a mindennapi túlélésért – közölte a szervezetre hivatkoza az Index.
A jelentés rámutat, hogy a háború pusztító következményei egyre mélyülnek: minden ötödik gyermek elvesztette valamely szerettét, több mint 1600 iskola és közel 790 egészségügyi intézmény semmisült meg vagy károsodott. A diákok fele csak online vehet rész azt oktatásban, ami jelentős lemaradást okoz: mindez átlagosan kétéves lemaradást eredményez az olvasásban és egy évnyit a matematikában a kortársaikhoz képest. Jelenleg világszerte 6,86 millió ukrajnai menekült él, közülük a gyermekek fele nem tud beilleszkedni a helyi oktatási rendszerbe.

A mentők kiemelték a jég alá süllyedt harmadik holttestet az Inhulec folyóból Herszon megyében. A keresési munkálatok befejeződtek.
A Renkdívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának (DSZNSZ) sajtóközpontja közölte, hogy a búvárok a folyó fenekén találták meg a 13 éves fiú holttestét. 500 méterre találták meg attól a helytől, ahol a gyerekek a jég alá süllyedtek.
A keresésben összesen 25 fő és 5 jármű, vízi járművek, speciális keresőfelszerelés és víz alatti drónok vettek részt.
A tragikus esemény február 13-án történt, a Herszon megyei Velikoolekszandriivka községben. Egy család négy gyermeke – két fiú (13 és 9 évesek) és két lány (14 és 12 évesek) – az Inhulecj folyó jegén sétált. A vékony jég beszakadt alattuk, és mindannyian a vízbe estek.
Ezt észrevette egy közelben tartózkodó 16 éves lány. Rohant, hogy megmentse a gyerekeket, de ő maga is a jég alá került. Futva érkezett a tragédia helyszínére egy helyi lakos. Sikerült kimentenie a vízből a gyerekek segítségére siető 16 éves lányt és egy 12 éves kislányt, hárman sajnos életüket vesztették.

Cserkaszi megyében három gyermek vesztette életét egy tűzeset során.

Odesszában három gyermek mérgezést szenvedett el egy ismeretlen anyagtól. Erről a megyei rendőrség tájékoztatott.
Az előzetes nyomozás alapján két kislány, három és öt évesek, valamint hét éves fiútestvérük otthon, amikor az édesanya házimunkát végzett, mérgező anyagot fogyasztottak.
A 30 éves nő súlyos állapotban találta meg gyermekeit és azonnal mentőt hívott. Az orvosok, miután mérgezést diagnosztizáltak, megpróbálták megmenteni a gyerekeket, de sajnos nem sikerült

Pakisztán délnyugati részén egy pokolgépes merényletben hét ember, köztük öt kisgyermek vesztette életét pénteken – jelentette az MTI a helyi hatóságokra hivatkozva.
A robbantás célpontjai rendőrök voltak, akik a járványos gyermekbénulás elleni oltási kampányban részt vevő egészségügyi dolgozókat kísértek a Beludzsisztán tartománybeli Másztung város központi piacán. A detonáció egy lányiskola épülete közelében történt, emiatt az áldozatok között volt öt kislány is, továbbá egy rendőr és egy piaci árus.
Mohszin Nakvi pakisztáni belügyminiszter elítélte a „brutális támadást, amelynek ártatlan gyerekek lettek az áldozatai”, és azt ígérte, nem kegyelmeznek az elkövetőknek.
A támadásért egyelőre egy csoport sem vállalta a felelősséget.
Pakisztánban az utóbbi időben egyre több járványos gyermekbénulásos megbetegedést jelentenek: az év eleje óta legkevesebb 41 fertőzött gyereket regisztráltak, ami drámai növekedés az utóbbi három év adataihoz képest.
Hétfőn mintegy 405 ezer embert mozgósítottak országszerte, hogy egy hét leforgása alatt 45 millió gyerekhez juttassák el a vírus elleni vakcinát.
A kampány segítői házról házra járnak, hogy meggyőzzék a családokat a kétdózisú, orális vakcina beadásának fontosságáról.
Pakisztánban rendszeresen érik erőszakos támadások azokat az egészségügyi csapatokat, amelyek tagjai oltást akarnak beadni a gyerekeknek a poliovírus ellen. Az év eleje óta ezeknek a támadásoknak 16 halálos áldozata volt. A helyiek sok helyen még mindig úgy vélik, az oltókampány nyugati összeesküvés annak érdekében, hogy sterilizálják a gyerekeket. Az Egészségügyi Világszervezet szerint a vírus terjedésének megállításához arra lenne szükség, hogy a 10 év alatti gyerekek 90 százaléka megkapja a vakcinát.

Egy 9 és egy 12 éves német gyermek vesztette életét egy dániai strandon történt földcsuszamlásban – közölte szerdán a dán rendőrség.
Fotó: EPA/Johnny Pedersen A baleset még vasárnap történt az északi fekvésű Norre Vorupor településén. A homoktömeg által elsodort két gyerek után mintegy 40 percen át kutattak. Helikopterrel válságos állapotban szállították őket kórházba, kedd este azonban mindketten elhunytak – ismertette a rendőrség.
A hatóságok továbbra is abból indulnak ki, hogy tragikus baleset történt. A két fiú eddigi értesülések szerint a strandon játszott egy kis barlangot ásva a dűnékben, ami feltehetően kiváltotta a földcsuszamlást. A rendőrség szerint az utóbbi idők esőzései is közrejátszhattak a szerencsétlenségben. Szüleik a helyszínen voltak, amikor a tragédia történt.
