A skandináv állam katasztrófavédelmi hatóságának (MSB) vasárnapi közlése szerint több mint egy napja lángol egy teherhajó rakománya Svédország partjainál. A tájékoztatás szerint a hajó egyelőre nem ég, „csak” a rakomány.
A Göteborgból indult hajó faanyagot szállít, amely szombaton kapott lángra, és a tüzet azóta sem tudták megfékezni. Az MSB két helikoptert küldött a helyszínre, míg a parti őrség saját erőkkel vesz részt a mentési műveletben.
„A hajón nagy mennyiségű üzemanyag van és az MSB felkészült arra, hogy szivárgás esetén segítséget tudjon nyújtani” – közölte a hatóság. A TT svéd hírügynökség szerint a tizenhét fős személyzetet egyelőre nem evakuálták az ibériai zászló alatt hajózó Almirante Storni fedélzetéről.
„Nem mondhatjuk, hogy sikerült úrrá lenni a tűzön, de a lángok már nem terjednek” – mondta a parti őrség egyik szóvivője a TT-nek nyilatkozva. Hozzátette, hogy a munkálatok még napokig eltarthatnak.

Elsüllyedt a romániai Tulcea megyében az az állóhajó, amit szeptember 22-én, Raluca Turcan munkaügyi miniszter jelenlétében avattak fel ünnepélyesen – írja a Főtér.ro.
A hajót fogyatékos gyerekek számára rendezték be terápiás céllal. A cikk szerint már az átadón is folyt be a víz egy pumpa meghibásodása miatt, de senki sem foglalkozott a problémával.
Az állóhajóra egyébként személyzetet sem találtak és úgy néz ki, még egy ideig nincs is rájuk szükség. Most szakembereket keresnek, hogy valahogy kiszedjék a járművet a vízből.

Megint megfeneklett egy hajó a Szuezi-csatornában és eltorlaszolta a forgalmas vízi utat, de az egyiptomi hatóságoknak most sikerült rövid időn belül kiszabadítaniuk – közölte csütörtökön a Szuezi-csatorna Hatóság.
Az egyiptomi hatóságok szerint egy panamai ömlesztettáru-szállító hajó zárta el az utat a csatorna egyik kétsávos szakaszán, ami miatt négy hajót kellett átirányítani a párhuzamos sávba.
A megfeneklett teherhajót vontatóhajókkal sikerült kiszabadítani.
A 225 méter hosszú, 32 méter széles, 43 ezer tonnás Coral Crystal ezt követően folytathatta útját Szudánba.
A Szuezi-csatorna köti össze a Földközi-tengert a Vörös-tengerrel. A szállítási útvonal jelenti egyben Egyiptom legnagyobb bevételi forrását a turizmus mellett.
Márciusban 6 napig az Ever Given blokkolta a Szuezi-csatornát
A mostani eset kapcsán hírügynökségek felidézték a 440 méter hosszú, több mint 200 ezer tonnás Ever Givennel történteket.
A világ egyik legnagyobb konténerszállító hajója március 23-án erős szélben átlósan beszorult a csatorna egyik szűk, déli szakaszában, aminek következtében teljesen leállt a forgalom az Európa és Ázsia közötti legrövidebb hajózási útvonalon.
A mentési műveletek akkor hat napig tartottak, és több mint egytucat vontatóhajó vett részt a munkában. A csatorna medrét is kimélyítették, hogy kiszabadítsák a beszorult konténerszállítót.
A hatóságok szerint Egyiptom napi 12-15 millió dollárt veszített a csatorna lezárásával.
Emellett a hatóság egyik alkalmazottja életét vesztette a mentési műveletek során, és károk keletkeztek a partburkolatban.
A hat nap alatt 422 hajót kellett feltartóztatni, fedélzetükön több mint 26 millió tonna áruval.
Az Allianz biztosító szerint a tengeri kereskedelem számára okozott veszteségek elérték a napi 6-10 milliárd dollárt.

A szigetország lakosságának körében komoly felháborodást váltottak ki a népszerű turistacélpont, Negombo strandjain készült felvételek.
A népszerű strandokon ugyanis mindent olaj, és a több mint egy hete kigyulladt tartályhajóról származó törmelék borít. A szingapúri bejegyzésű X-Press Pearl vegyszereket és kozmetikumokat szállított, és már több, mint egy hete ég.
A Srí Lanka-i haditengerészet az indiai haditengerészettel, és katasztrófavédelmi szakértőkkel együttműködve próbálja meg felszámolni a súlyos környezeti katasztrófával fenyegető károkat.
Mivel a hajó lassan süllyed, félő, hogy több száz tonna olaj szivároghat a tengerbe, ami komoly káros hatással lehet a tengeri életre.
A helyi tisztviselők szerint nagyban nehezíti a mentési munkálatokat, hogy a tengernek azon szakaszán napok óta hatalmas szél tombol.
Azon kívül, hogy Negombó népszerű turisztikai célpont, sokak számára a halászat jelenti a megélhetést, de jelenleg a hatalmas mennyiségű olaj miatt nem tudnak kifutni a halászhajók.
A Srí Lanka-i Tengeri Környezetvédelmi Hatóság (MEPA) elnöke, Dharshani Lahandapura az AFP hírügynökségnek elmondta, hogy személyzet korábban salétromsav-szivárgásról számolt be, még mielőtt az X-Press Pearl belépett volna Srí Lanka-i vizekre, és a tűz elkerülhető lett volna, ha a hatóságok időben cselekednek.
A hatóságok őrizetbe vették a hajó kapitányát, akit kedden a legénység többi tagjával együtt mentettek ki. Őt azzal vádolják, hogy nem jelentette időben a hajón keletkezett tüzet. Az X-Press Shipping, a hajót birtokló szingapúri társaság megerősítette, hogy a legénység tudatában volt a szivárgásnak, de ugyanakkor azt állítják, hogy Katar és India sem adott engedélyt nekik arra, hogy a tűz kitörésekor azonnal kiköthessenek.
Az X-Press Pearl nevű hajó május 15-én hajózott ki a nyugat-indiai Hazira kikötőjéből, fedélzetén 1486 konténernyi salétromsavval és egyéb vegyi anyagokkal, kozmetikumokkal, és május 20-án, Colombo partjainál adott le vészjelzést.

A személyzet egyik, Fülöp-szigeteki tagját egy megfigyelő repülőgépről vették észre, amint a vízben hánykolódott mentőmellényben. Sikerült kimenteni a férfit, aki elmondta, hogy a hajó felborult és elsüllyedt.
A 11 947 tonnás, Gulf Livestock 1 nevű hajó 5800 szarvasmarhát szállított az Amami-szigetekről a Kelet-kínai-tengeren, amikor vészjeleket adott le.
Egyelőre nem ismert a szerencsétlenség oka, de a baleset idején a térségben tomboló Majszak tájfun miatt rendkívüli viharos volt a tenger.
A parti őrség tájékoztatása szerint a hajó fedélzetén 38 Fülöp-szigeteki, két új-zélandi és két ausztrál szolgált. A Gulf Navigation, amely augusztus közepén indult Új-Zélandról egy, az Egyesült Arab Emírségekben bejegyzett cég tulajdona. Végső úti célja a kelet-kínai Tangsan kikötője lett volna.

A bejrúti kikötőben történt keddi nagy erejű robbanástól elsüllyedt a kikötőben horgonyzó Orient Queen óceánjáró.
A legénységnek a fedélzeten tartózkodó két tagja meghalt, heten megsérültek – közölte a tulajdonos, Mari Abu Mehri libanoni üzletember a NNA libanoni állami hírügynökség szerdai jelentése szerint.
Az 1989-ben épített, 121 méter hosszú, 7,4 ezer tonnás vízkiszorítású hajó bahamai zászló alatt hajózott, és a robbanás idején a bejrúti kikötőben horgonyzott. A robbanás során súlyosan megsérült a hajótest, és víz ömlött a hajó belsejébe. A mentési kísérletek nem jártak sikerrel, és a hajó elsüllyedt.
A hajótulajdonos gyors és átlátható vizsgálatot sürgetett a felelősök azonosítása és felelősségre vonása érdekében. Közben Farhan Haq ENSZ-szóvivő szerdán New Yorkban bejelentette, hogy mintegy száz ENSZ-alkalmazott sérült meg a keddi robbanásban.

A dél-iráni Busehr kikötőjében legalább hét hajó gyulladt ki – jelentette a Tasnim iráni hírügynökség szerdán.
A szerdai tűzeset a legutóbbi a június óta az iráni nukleáris és ipari létesítmények körül történt incidensek sorában – írta a Reuters brit hírügynökség. A hírügynökség jelentése szerint károkról egyelőre nem érkeztek jelentések.
Június vége óta több robbantás és tűzeset történt iráni katonai, nukleáris és ipari létesítmények közelében. Július 2-án a Natanzban működő földalatti atomlétesítményben csaptak fel a lángok.
Natanz az iráni urándúsító program legfontosabb létesítménye. Teherán szerint az urándúsítás kizárólag békés célokat szolgál. Nyugati hírszerző szervek és a Nemzetközi Atomenergia-ügynökség (NAÜ) szerint Iránnak összehangolt, titkos atomfegyver-programja volt, amelyet 2003-ban leállított. Teherán tagadja, hogy valaha is atomfegyverre kívánt volna szert tenni.
Az iráni hatóságok július 3-án közölték, hogy megállapították az urándúsítóban keletkezett tűz okát, de később fogják közölni. Egyes iráni vezetők szerint feltehetően kibertámadás történt, és figyelmeztettek, hogy Irán bármilyen elkövető ország ellen megtorló intézkedéseket hoz. Július elején az egyik írásában az IRNA hivatalos iráni hírügynökség arról írt, hogy a szabotázsakciók mögött olyan ellenségek állhatnak, mint Izrael vagy az Egyesült Államok, majd rövidesen felhagyott a közvetlen vádaskodással.
Az izraeli védelmi miniszter július 5-én kijelentette, hogy nem feltétlenül az országa áll a titokzatos iráni incidensek mögött.

Több, a Földközi-tengeren kimentett bevándorló öngyilkosságot kísérelt meg az Ocean Viking nevű hajón pénteken, a kapitány ezért rendkívüli állapotot rendelt el a fedélzeten – Írja az Al Jazeera a hajót üzemeltető SOS Mediterranee civil szervezet közleménye alapján.
Az Ocean Viking nevű hajó június végén három csónakról is kimentettek Líbiából Európába tartó bevándorlókat, összesen 180 embert. Közülük hatan a civil szervezet tájékoztatása szerint öngyilkosságot kíséreltek meg pénteken. Ketten a tengerbe ugrottak, őket sikerült kimenteni, még egy fő megpróbált a tengerbe ugrani. Hogy a többiek hogyan próbáltak véget vetni az életüknek, azt nem közölte a szervezet.
Mindez azután történt, hogy a hajó legénysége 44 fő egészségügyi evakuálását kérte több ország hatóságaitól, arra hivatkozva, hogy az átélt szörnyűségek miatt nagyon rossz a mentális egészségi állapotuk. A szervezet közleménye szerint ezek az emberek magukra, valamint a többi utasra és a legénységre is veszélyesek, többen pedig öngyilkosságról beszéltek. Az Ocean Viking vészjelzésére nem érkezett reakció egyik ország hatóságától sem.
Az Ocean Viking szerint a 180 kimentett bevándorló és a legénység biztonságát már nem lehet garantálni. A hajó kikötési engedélyt kért az olasz és máltai hatóságoktól is, de nem kaptak választ. A hajón tartózkodik 25 kiskorú (17-en kísérő nélkül) és egy öt hónapos terhes nő is.

Eduardo Moreno azért futott túl a vonattal a vágányon, mert úgy hitte, a
hatóságok nem mondanak igazat, és biztosan nem azért vezényelték a hajót a Los
Angeles-i kikötőbe, hogy oda küldhessék át a kórházak a nem fertőzött
pácienseket.
Moreno végül nem tudott nekihajtani a hajónak, attól mintegy
230 méterre állt meg, több kerítést is átszakítva. Az ámokfutás során senki sem
sérült meg, Moreno ellen viszont vádat emeltek, amiért tönkretette a vonatot –
közölte az ügyészség. Az FBI-nak adott vallomásában Moreno azt mondta: fel
akarta nyitni az emberek szemét. A Port of Los Angeles szóvivője, Phillip
Sanfield úgy nyilatkozott, hogy a vonat igazából nem jutott túl közel a
hajóhoz.
