Пакистанського лікаря, який працював у США засуджено до 18 років ув’язнення за спробу надати матеріальну підтримку терористичній організації ІДІЛ і провести теракти «самотнього вовка» в США.
31-річного Мухаммада Масуда було засуджено до 18 років тюремного ув’язнення з наступним п’ятирічним звільненням під наглядом, за спробу надати матеріальну підтримку ІДІЛ, йдеться в заяві Міністерства юстиції.
У серпні минулого року він визнав себе винним і був засуджений старшим суддею Полом А. Магнусоном. Згідно з судовими документами, Масуд був ліцензованим лікарем у Пакистані і раніше працював координатором досліджень у медичній клініці у Рочестері, штат Міннесота, за візою H-1B.
У період з січня 2020 року до березня 2020 року Масуд використовував програму для обміну зашифрованими повідомленнями, щоб полегшити свою поїздку за кордон і приєднатися до терористичної організації. Масуд зробив кілька заяв про своє бажання приєднатися до Ісламської держави Іраку та Аль-Шама (ІДІЛ) і присягнув на вірність зазначеній терористичній організації та її лідеру.
Масуд також висловив бажання провести теракти «самотнього вовка» у США. У лютому 2020 року Масуд купив квиток на літак із Чикаго, штат Іллінойс, в Амман, Йорданія, а звідти планував поїхати до Сирії. У березні того ж року плани поїздок Масуда змінилися, оскільки Йорданія закрила свої кордони для в’їзних туристів через пандемію коронавірусу.
Потім Масуд погодився вилетіти з Міннеаполіса до Лос-Анджелеса, щоб зустрітися з людиною, яка, як він вважав, допоможе йому дістатися вантажного корабля і доставити його на територію ІДІЛ.
Він мандрував з Рочестера до Міннеаполісу-Сенту. Міжнародний аеропорт Пола (MSP) для посадки на рейс, що прямує в Лос-Анджелес, Каліфорнія. Після прибуття до MSP Масуд зареєструвався на рейс і згодом був заарештований Об’єднаною оперативною групою ФБР у боротьбі з тероризмом.

Національна розвідка Туреччини ліквідувала лідера Ісламської держави Абу Хусейна аль-Курші.
Про це йдеться у Твіттері президента Туреччини Реджепа Тайїпа Ердогана.
“Національна розвідка Туреччини тривалий час стежила за лідером “ІДІЛ” Абу Хусейном аль-Курші. Ця людина була вбита вчора в Сирії в ході операції, яку провела турецька розвідка”, – зазначив Ердоган.
Аль-Курші став лідером ІДІЛ після смерті його попередника Абу аль-Хасана аль-Хашмі аль-Курайші, якого ліквідували у жовтні 2022 року Вільною сирійською армією в Сирії.
Про самого очільника Аль-Курші було відомо небагато, але на момент його призначення ІДІЛ описувала його як “старого бійця”.
Нагадаємо, на березень 2015 року ІДІЛ мала контроль над територією з населенням 10 мільйонів осіб в Іраку і Сирії та номінальний контроль над маленькими областями Лівії, Нігерії і провінції Нангархар в східному Афганістані.
Станом на сьогодні представники угруповання ІДІЛ є за межами Іраку і Сирії. Вони мають підконтрольну територію тільки в Сінаї, Афганістані, і Лівії. ІДІЛ також має представництво в Марокко, Лівані, Йорданії і Палестині, але не має офіційних філій в цих країнах.
Їхні дії всіляко “копіюють” російські загарбники на території України. До прикладу, у 2014 році в Криму та на Донбасі росія та її місцеві агенти цілком покладалися на тактику, яку використовувала до того “Ісламська держава”. Інструментарієм як рф, так і ІДІЛ були фальшиві цивільні організації, викрадення та вбивства, кампанії пропаганди та дезінформації, психологічна війна та інфільтрація своїх агентів до керівних органів.
Причому спочатку росія, як і ІДІЛ, не визнавала, що застосовувала всі ці елементи тактики.
