Az Orvosok Határok Nélkül (MSF) nevű civil szervezet ezen a héten öt különböző akció során 371 illegális bevándorlót mentett ki vízből a Földközi-tenger középső részén.
A kimentett emberek az MSF Geo Barents nevű hajójának fedélzetén maradtak, miközben arra vártak, hogy biztonságos kikötőben szállhassanak partra.
A kimentettek között volt három terhes nő és 55 kiskorú, köztük egy 1 hónapos csecsemő.
Az MSF által csütörtökön forgatott felvételeken látható, amint a mentők mentőmellényeket osztanak a migránsoknak a hajójukon, mielőtt a Geo Barents hajóra szállították őket.
2014 óta több mint 29 ezren haltak meg az Európába tartó migrációs utvonalakon, az elmúlt két évben ötezren vesztették életüket – áll a Nemzetközi Migrációs Szervezet kedden kiadott jelentésében.

A görögök úgy vélik, hogy a migránsok gumicsónakkal keltek át az Evrosz folyón, de az még kérdés, hogy hol és hogyan vesztettél el a ruhájukat.
A görög rendőrség kimentett egy 92 illegális bevándorlóból álló csoportot, akiket meztelenül találtak a Törökországgal közös északi határ közelében, ráadásul néhányuknak sérülés volt a testén – közölte a rendőrség szombaton.
A migránsokat, akik mind férfiak, akiket pénteken fedezték fel a Görögország és Törökország határát jelző Evrosz folyó közelében – tették hozzá.
A görög rendőrség és a Frontex uniós határvédelmi ügynökség tisztviselői által végzett vizsgálat bizonyítékot talált arra, hogy a migránsok Törökországból gumicsónakokkal léptek át a folyón görög területre – idézi a közleményt a Reuters.
Azt azonban nem tudják, hogy miért és hogyan kerültek le a ruhák a férfiakról.
A görög migrációs miniszter, Notis Mitarachi egy tweetben azt írta, hogy Törökország bánásmódja a migránsokkal „a civilizáció szégyene”, és hozzátette, hogy Athén elvárja, hogy Ankara kivizsgálja az esetet.
A törökök nem kommentálták az esetet.
Az utóbbi időben megnövekedett a Görögországba belépni kívánó migránsok száma
Görögország 2015-ben és 2016-ban az európai migrációs válság frontvonalában volt, amikor a szíriai, iraki és afganisztáni háború és szegénység elől mintegy egymillió menekült érkezett az országba, főként Törökországon keresztül.
Az érkezők száma azóta csökkent. A görög hatóságok viszont nem rég közölték, hogy az utóbbi időben megnövekedett a török szárazföldi határon és a görög szigeteken keresztül kísérletezők száma.
Görögország sürgette Törökországot, hogy tartsa tiszteletben az Európai Unióval 2016-ban kötött megállapodást, amelyben Ankara vállalta, hogy több milliárd eurós segélyért cserébe megfékezi a migránsok Európába áramlását.

Már 12 halottja van a szeptember 7-én történt tunéziai hajótörésnek, miután újabb hat bevándorló holttestét találták meg a tengerpart közelében.
Egy tunéziai biztonsági tiszt elmondása szerint összesen 37 tunéziai menekült indult útnak, hogy az ország középső-keleti részén fekvő Szfáksz régióból illegális úton elérje az olasz partokat.
Rossz állapotban lévő csónakjuk szeptember 7-ére virradó éjjel felborult a Szfáksz várostól 130 kilométerre északra fekvő Mahdia kikötőváros partjainál.
Az újabb hat holttestet múlt vasárnap találták meg a tuniszi belügyminisztérium tájékoztatása szerint, miután az első hat áldozatot már szeptember 8-án kiemelték a tengerből, amelyből élve 14 bevándorlót mentettek ki.

Az elmúlt hétvégén, több civil szervezett, számos műveletben, több mint ezer embert mentettek ki a vízből. A menekültek a Földközi-tenger keresztül, túlzsúfolt, rozoga csónakokon próbáltak Észak-Afrikából Európába jutni.
Az SOS Méditerranée európai humanitárius szervezet a Twitteren osztotta meg a hírt az egyik akcióról. Eszerint vasárnap reggel ők 87 bajba jutottat mentettek ki, többségében kísérő nélküli kiskorúakat.
A német Sea-Watch szervezet mentőhajója közben sürgősen engedélyt szeretne kapni a kikötéshez, mert nem képes ellátni a fedélzetén összezsúfolódott illegális menekültet.
Az ENSZ Menekültügyi Főbiztossága szerint idén már csaknem 33 ezer migráns és menekült érkezett Olaszországba a tengeren keresztül. A veszélyes átkelés közben 1200-an fulladtak meg.

Az eset körülményeit büntetőeljárás keretében vizsgálják a rendőrök.

A teherautó egy út mentén állt a városban. A tragédiára úgy derült fény, hogy egy közelben dolgozó ember segélykiáltást hallott az utánfutóból, amelynek ajtaja résnyire nyitva állt.
Odament, és megdöbbenve látta, hogy a raktérben rengeteg holttest van, majd hívta a rendőrséget. A hatóságok az utánfutóban 45, egymáson fekvő holttestet találtak, egyet pedig a járművön kívül. De 16-an még éltek – köztük négy kiskorú –, őket kórházba szállították
Az emberek halálát hőguta okozta – közölte a tűzoltók szóvivője, hozzátéve, hogy nyilvánvalóan nem volt ivóvizük az utánfutóban. Aznap a térségben 37 Celsius-fokos volt a hőmérséklet. A túlélők – főleg fiatal felnőttek – is annyira kimerültek, hogy nem volt erejük kijönni a nyitott ajtajú járműből – mondta a szóvivő.
Egy rendőrségi szóvivő arról számolt be, hogy az ügyben – amelyet most már a belbiztonsági minisztérium vizsgál – három gyanúsítottat őrizetbe vettek.
A szövetségi hatóságok a hírügynökségek érdeklődésére annyit mondtak, hogy embercsempészet gyanújával vizsgálnak egy esetet San Antonióban.
Ron Nirenberg polgármester közölte, hogy a kórházba szállított emberek életveszélyes állapotban vannak.
Illegális latin-amerikai bevándorlók csempészete az Egyesült Államokba gyakori eset az ország déli határán, de ilyen súlyos tragédia régen történt – állapították meg a hírügynökségek.

A csapi határőregység munkatársai Felsődomonya közelében letartóztattak egy migránscsoportot, akik törvénytelen úton szerettek volna Szlovákia területére jutni.
A hatóságokat a jelzőrendszer figyelmeztette az idegenekről. Három férfit sikerült azonnal előállítani, a negyedik bevándorlót egy óra elteltével, a határvonalnál tartóztatták le.
Mint kiderült, mindannyian indiai állampolgárok. Elmondásuk szerint egy jobb élet reményében szerettek volna az Európai Unióba menni.
A szabálysértőket a határőregység épületébe szállították, további sorsukról a bíróság dönt majd.

Csap közelében őrizetbe vettek egy lengyel állampolgárt, aki illegálisan próbált bejutni Ukrajna területére.
A csapi határőregység sajtószolgálata szerint a kárpátaljai hatóságok szlovák kollégáiktól kaptak információt arról, hogy egy ismeretlen személy Ukrajna irányába tart.
Az illegális bevándorló felkutatásában a határőrök szolgálati kutyája segített, aki megállította a Szlovákiából Ukrajnába tartó szabálysértőt. Az okmányok átvizsgálása során kiderült, hogy a férfi már harmadjára próbál meg törvénytelen úton Ukrajnába jutni, s tavaly kétszer is őrizetbe vették illegális határátlépés miatt.
A határsértőre adminisztratív protokollt állítottak ki, az ügyben a bíróság dönt majd.
