Két tanárral és egy diákkal végzett, tizenegy másik embert pedig megsebesített pénteken egy golyóálló mellényt viselő ámokfutó a délkelet-brazíliai Aracruzban.
A férfi két iskolában lövöldözött félautomata fegyverével, majd elmenekült. A brazil hatóságoknak néhány órán belül sikerült elfogniuk. Bár hivatalosan még nem azonosították, helyi médiaértesülések szerint a támadó 16 éves volt. Elmondása szerint két évig tervezte a bűncselekményt, de az indítékát nem ismertette.
Espirito Santo állam kormányzója, Renato Casagrande a Twitteren azt írta, hogy a ,,biztonsági erők letartóztattak egy férfit, aki gyáván megtámadott két iskolát Aracruzban.” A kormányzó három napos gyászidőszakot hirdetett és megígérte, hogy folytatni fogják a nyomozást addig, amíg ki nem derül az ámokfutó indítéka. Casagrande ezen kívül a két is iskola nevét is megemlítette: Primo Bitti Általános Iskola és Praia de Coqueiral Oktatási Központ. A sebesültek közt 9 tanár van – derült ki sajtótájékoztatóján.
Az újonnan megválasztott brazil elnök, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva ,,abszurd tragédiának” nevezte az esetet és mindenre kiterjedő támogatást ígért az áldozatok hozzátartozóinak.
Az iskolai lövöldözések nem gyakoriak Brazíliában, bár az elmúlt években némileg emelkedett a számuk.

Szeptember 26-án reggel egy fekete ruhás férfi tüzet nyitott a 88-as számú izsevszki iskolában, legalább tizennégy ember meghalt és húszan megsebesültek – közölték orosz hírportálok.
A helyszínre mentők és rendőrök érkeztek, a lövöldözés pillanatában közel 1000 diák és 80 tanár tartózkodott az oktatási intézményben.
Alekszandr Brecsalov, Udmurtföld vezetője nemrég arról beszélt, hogy a halálos áldozatok száma tizenháromra emelkedett, eddig hét gyermek halálát erősítették meg. Több orosz állami hírügynökség pedig úgy értesült, hogy két biztonsági őr és két pedagógus is meghalt a támadás során. A gyerekek közül néhányan kiugrottak a tanintézmény ablakából, s ekkor érte őket sérülés.
Az információk szerint a tettes saját kezűleg készített fegyvert hozott az iskolába, úgy alakította át a gumilövedékes pisztolyokat, hogy azok az éles lőszerrel való tüzelésre is alkalmasak legyenek. Az incidens után a támadó öngyilkos lett, az illetőt egyelőre még nem sikerült azonosítani.

Újabb iskolai lövöldözésről számolt be az amerikai sajtó kedden. Ezúttal Minneapolis egyik külvárosi iskolája előtt történt a tragédia, amely során két diák volt az áldozat, egyikük életét vesztette.
A támadás egy speciális igényű embereknek fenntartott iskola épülete előtt történt Minnesota egyik külvárosában, Richfieldben.
A kiérkező rendőrök a két lelőtt diákot az iskolában találták meg. A mentőegységek a Hennepin Healthcare kórházba szállították őket, ahol egyikük, a 15 éves Jamari Rice életét már nem tudták megmenteni. A másik diák állapota továbbra is kritikus.
A két gyanúsított elmenekült a helyszínről, azonban a rendőrség a lövöldözés után házkutatást hajtott végre két különböző helyszínen Minneapolisban, két embert pedig őrizetbe is vett. Egy fegyvert találtak, de egyelőre nem világos, hogy azt használták-e a lövöldözésben. A rendőrség szerint a két személy az ügy kizárólagos gyanúsítottja.
Tim Walz minnesotai kormányzó sajnálatát és együttérzését fejezte ki a történtekkel kapcsolatban:
„Részvétemet fejezem ki mindazoknak, akiknek a tragédia miatt a biztonságba vetett bizalma kedd délután meggyengült. A szavaknál többre van szükségünk. Tettek kellenek, hogy a fegyverek és az erőszakos bűncselekmények eltűnjenek az utcákról. Továbbra is elkötelezett vagyok amellett, hogy a kormányzat minden szinten együttműködjön a tisztviselőkkel a szükséges változtatások érdekében.”
A rendőrség tovább nyomoz az ügyben, az iskola teljes területét lezárták.

Hárman meghaltak és nyolcan megsebesültek helyi idő szerint kedd délután az Egyesült Államokban, amikor a Michigan állambeli Oxford egyik középiskolájában lövöldözni kezdett az egyik diák.
A halálos áldozatok között két lány van, egyikük 14, másikuk 17 éves volt. A harmadik halálos áldozat egy 16 éves fiú. A nyolc sebesült között hét diák van és egy tanár – egy 14 éves lányt meg kellett műteni, azt követően lélegeztőgépre került, egy 14 éves fiú pedig súlyos állapotban van, miután a fején és az állán is golyó érte. Három sebesült állapota stabil – közölte Mike McCabe seriffhelyettes a CNN tudósítása szerint.
A tettes egy 15 éves fiú volt, aki a seriffhelyettes elmondása 15-20 lövést adott le félautomata kézifegyveréből a Detroittól nagyjából ötven kilométerre északra található, 22 ezer lakosú településen, majd ellenállás nélkül megadta magát az öt percen belül kiérkező rendőröknek.
Szülei tanácsára az ámokfutó nem tett vallomást, így továbbra sem világos, hogy mi volt az indítóoka, célzottan vagy találomra választotta ki áldozatait. Azt viszont a hatóságok kizárták, hogy társai is lettek volna a lövöldözés során.
Michael Bouchard seriff később arról számolt be, hogy a gyilkos fegyvert az elkövető apja vásárolta néhány nappal ezelőtt, de azt még nem tudják, miért. A fiú lőgyakorlatokat tartott a 9 milliméteres fegyverrel, és később képeket osztott meg róla, illetve az eltalált célpontokról.
McCabe elutasította azokat a feltételezéseket, amelyek szerint a közösségi médiában több diákot előzetesen figyelmeztettek arra, hogy valaki veszélyes akciót tervez az iskolában. A rendőrségnek nincs tudomása semmi ilyesmiről – jelentette ki a seriffhelyettes.
A támadást követően az iskolát lezárták. Egyes diákok az osztálytermekben bezárkózva kerestek menedéket, amíg a hatóságok átkutatták az épületet.
Üzent a gyászoló családoknak a Minnesota államban tartózkodó Joe Biden amerikai elnök is. Őszinte részvétéről biztosította a hozzátartozókat, akiknek – szavai szerint – „el kell viselniük szerettük elvesztésének elképzelhetetlen fájdalmát”.

Két diák összeverekedett a texasi Arlingtonban található Timberview gimnáziumban, ezután egyikük előrántott egy pisztolyt és többször a diáktársaira lőtt, majd autóval elmenekült a helyszínről. A lövöldözés szerda délelőtt történt, melyben négy ember megsérült. Nem sokkal később a rendőrség elfogta a 18 éves lövöldözőt.
Az arlingtoni rendőrség megerősítette, hogy az iskolai lövöldözés egy diák és egy másik személy közötti verekedésből indult délelőtt negyed tíz körül – számolt be a Fox News hírportálja közép-európai idő szerint szerda este. Beszámolók szerint az egyik diák ütlegelni kezdte társát, majd elővett egy fegyvert, és három-négy lövést adott le diáktársaira és a teremben rendet tenni akaró tanárnőre.
Három embert kórházba szállítottak, egy 15 éves fiút lőtt sebbel, kritikus állapotban, egy másik diáklányt és egy 25 éves férfit pedig kielégítő állapotban.
Egy várandós tanárnő is megsérült, mivel elesett, de őt a kiérkező mentők a helyszínen ellátták.
A lövéseket leadó diákot a 18 éves Timothy George Simpkinsként azonosították, és mintegy másfél órával a bűncselekmény után elfogták.
A 18 éves afroamerikai fiatalembert fegyverrel elkövetett, többrendbeli súlyos testi sértéssel vádolják – közölte az arlingtoni rendőrség.
A hatóság emberei, miután biztosították a területet, azonnal evakuálták a diákokat az iskolából egy közeli kulturális központba.
Texas állam legsúlyosabb iskolai lövöldözése 2018 májusában történt, amikor egy 17 éves elkövető sörétes puskával és pisztollyal felfegyverkezve tüzet nyitott a Santa Fe Gimnáziumban, Houston közelében. Az akkori eset során 10 ember vesztette életét.

Számszeríjjal kezdett lövöldözni egy ismeretlen nő egy iskola területén hétfő reggel Poltavában, a nyílvesszők két tanárt megsebesítettek – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál a megyei rendőrség sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a rendőrséget reggel 10:00 órakor hívták telefonon helyi lakosok, hogy a város egyik iskolájának területén egy ismeretlen lány két pedagógust megsebesített.
A rendőrség közlése szerint az eset Poltava 11. sz. iskolájában történt. A tanintézet területére egy ismeretlen nő ment be, és számszeríjjal meglőtt két tanárt. A nyomozók gyorsan megállapították az elkövető kilétét, aki egy 2002-es születésű helyi lakos volt. Az ügyet a hatóság vizsgálja, kiderítse a bűncselekmény körülményeit és az indítékokat.
